Looking for squonker

Hey Guys.... I’m looking into trying out a regulated squonker mod. I’m using the Dead Rabbit RDA. I want something easy to squeeze. Maybe something with a softer juice bottle, like silicone. Any recommendations? Thanks!!

What are you squonkng with now?

A lot of squonkers will accept the various silicone bottles FT is selling on the cheap

Still at a loss lol.... I guess because I’m not 100% sure on what I should be looking for in a first time squonk. Research research!!

If you're ok with building to hit a target resistance and heat flux, the Pico Squeeze is a fantastic start. Small, inexpensive, all the safeties, it only operates in bypass mode with a 50W cap though. If you can get a build between 0.15 ohm and 0.2 ohm it will supply a constant 50 Watts.

If you're looking for something with more power available, the Dripbox160 is ok for the price. Just keep in mind atomizer over 22mm will overhang and the high cell cutoff of 3.6V will have you changing batteries frequently. The temp control is very bad as well. But if you use wattage mode anyway over 75W it's the most inexpensive option.

If temp control is a thing you use, the VT Inbox or YFTK's DNA75 SVA clone both use the DNA75 chip and are great options.

There's a lot of pre-order up now, but no one is going to be able to speak to the quality of those yet.

My usual build is a 22g nichrome 80 with around a .2 resistance. Anywhere between 65-75 watts, dep being on my juice. I’ve actually been looking at the Dripbox 160. Seems like a decent full kit for the price. I’d like to see how my Dead Rabbit would work on this thing.

It will definitely overhang, that usually doesn't bother me though.

The battery life will not be great. Barely better than like if you were running on single battery.

One final note I forgot, be careful of the metal stem and rubber grommet the bottle fits on. They're not especially fragile, but damaging them kills the ability to squonk.

If those points are fine with you, it's a great intro to squonking, and the price isn't bad. :)

Even if you move on to something else later, it's still a great backup.

Check out Busardo's video on it, a lot of detail. He spends a lot of time talking about how bad the included RDA is, but really hits all the technical info on the device as well.

Well, I watched his review. It sort of discouraged me a little bit. Been some hype, but also seems to have some issues, and also looks cheaply made up close. BUT....look at the price! Man, I’m confused lol

VT inbox dna 75. Hell of a mod. Not too expensive and you can probably find one used for a good deal.

After re reading the bottle has a niche. The hose is non removable and the bottle is a little stiff. But I saw a video where a guy put a silicone in his by squeezing the tube through the center cap on a smjy or whatever it is.

I have one of the new wotofo/Stentorian RAM unregulated 18650 boxes. Aside from it having a wire instead of just a solid metal strip for a connection to the button, and the button itself being stiff as hell, I love it. The new VandyVape Pulse boxes look great too (while fixing both issues I have with mine). Cheaper as well, but doesn't look as cool as the RAM.

What are your issues with the pulse?

I recently started squonking and I got the DB 160 first. Then two weeks ago I got the VT Inbox 75. I say forget the DB and go for the Inbox. It's a great size for walking around, the TC is amazing, and it looks great. I got some very soft silicone bottles from Fasttech along with original Inbox bottles. I cut the tops of the Inbox bottles and inserted them into the silicone bottles and they fit perfectly.

As noted above, some new 1 and 2 battery squonks are hitting the market soon, but I'd be hesitant to get them straight away. Let others be the guinea pigs. The Inbox is a tried and tested mod.

I went looking about the tube and it can be replaced. It's a little bit of work, but it can be done so that the tube is removable which will make cleaning easier. I've ordered some tubing and I'll do it once it arrives.

I have a few DB 160's. I absolutely love them. I have a pulse 24 rda on one and I ordered a pulse 22 for the other. It has more power than any of the single battery mods. 2 batteries are going to last longer than one. Depending how you vape. I vape all day, all the time. A single battery mod just doesnt do it for me. I just bought the pulse mod and the capo 100 squonk, threw on the pulse 24 I had on the DB160 and was immediately disappointed. No power, and have it set up with a single coil .65. So in order to get the same experience on a single battery mod I will need to build specifically for those maybe a 1 or 1.5. I just ordered 2 more Db 160's at 40 each just in case. Thinking about a drone, maybe but expensive to try it out. Geekvape Gbox 200 is a maybe also decent price, copied the DB160.

Which ones did you get? I got 10 of these from FT and another 10 from 3FV.

https://www.fasttech.com/products/0...-replacement-dropper-bottle-for-sva-75w-style

They're very soft but thick. They had no smell when they arrived as well.
Mine are clear and really soft. Feels like plastic still but squeezes like silicone

If you want a nice regulated squonker for well under 100 bucks, get the VT Inbox. DNA chip and it comes with a nice RDA as well. If you want to try a cheap mechanical squonker, get the Vandy Vape Pulse. Both are solid, authentic budget mods.
