The wire isnt tight has some play...and no shit...i forgot...tomorrow...got pissed and closed shop...Looks like your swivels are pulled tight (straight) at rest. Try to leave a tiny bit of slack. Just enough to let the swivels bow down a tiny bit. When you pull the trigger on your drill, it will naturally pull your drill farther back creating even more tension.
If you pull into your swivels, they will bind up and not spin freely.
And, did you try the ziploc trick?
Dang thanks for the heads up on Lightening Vapes...I was about to place an order with them tomorrow! What websites would be a good choice then?

Dude, that wire is gonna fly all over the place.Too tight

Redundancy is good. In case one fails, there's another to back it up.Am i supposed to have 2 swivels? I used 2 before then went back to 1

Well I still stand by it . You both make amazing coils.Crazy Chef has put a lot more miles on his drill than I have. Plus, he was already upgraded to version 2. I am still working with my original software.
I, on the other hand, am a hack that figured out how to make some cool shit by wasting countless hours cussing at lifeless snarls of wire.
This chili I just made is even better than my coils. Damn, is it good!Well I still stand by it . You both make amazing coils.

I appreciate this so much....wish i can be home trying...lol@bx10r

Made a quick unpolished video to illustrate what I was trying to say about how I find the sweetspot with core tension. Probably easier to see it in action than deciphering my written post. The slight wobble will absolutely go away when the wrap wire is attached. You want as little tension as possible on the wrap, but it still does add some tension onto your cores/swivels. So it will straighten out the slack.
i got one for testing and found that its great for making fused claptons easily for people who dont want to learn anything passed that (in terms of difficulty). fused claptons are a great vape, and are easy to configure to anything from tubes to series. they are the best balance of performance versus difficulty in my opinion...but the deadalus has its issues as well (its automatic, but there is a learning curve, and always a possibility of a failed build due to random things like poorly spooled wire), and its easy to argue that making them the normal way (drill+swivels) is just as easy after you get the hang of it. my room mate got a working pair on her first try, and a perfect pair on her second. its not as hard as it sounds...and theres lots of info on the forums.I was looking on Lightening Vapes website and they have a tool called the Deadalus by AvidArtisan....is that worth the investment? If so would it be better to just get the coil jig or should I buy it with the drill? TIA!

You got a rogue leg man real close to your other coil could really fuck that pretty simple build up.Ahhh, my fav coils or as i call em k.i.s.s

Not really, it's actually pretty damn easy. Here's a great Video to watch which for me was what clicked with me and after a couple of failures it just clicked.Wow, making Clapton’s looks so complicated....what are the basic tools I will need to start Claptons? Not going to start them right now, but want to start getting things together for when I am ready.....
