Totally new to the vape world, therefore can't share any experience. To be honest I technically am still not a "vaper" as I am waiting on the kits I've ordered.
:vapemail:

Looking to gain knowledge from this forum to help guide me on my journey. Any tips or pointers you can share would be greatly helpful (I do have very basic knowledge of things but only from research). :nothingtoadd:

Welcome! You found the right place. Honestly, once you get your first kit your research will truly begin. For the best help with any questions, just remember to post every bit of possible info about your kit so that we can get the best idea of what you are dealing with. May the force be with you!

Thanks for the kind welcome.

I've ordered an iJust 2 and an Endura T22. They seem nice and simple to start with. Mainly doing it to quit cigarettes but don't have very big budget either.

I know, I can't wait to get it! I understand about explaining when asking questions because there seems to be so many variables to consider. I read reviews and forums (definitely not any other one then this one of course lol) and decided just to dive in and see if it will help me quit smoking. Can't hurt I guess.. (depends who you want to listen to though haha)

Good morning, Kame2Vape.
From another person from the land of OZ

Welcome to the VU.
This is a great community...a lot of knowledgeable people to learn from. Enjoy

I've only been here a few minutes and it already seems like a good community to be apart of.
Definitely interested in speaking to other members from Oz especially (to help understand best suppliers etc.)

With Australia having the highest cigarette prices in the world (a pack of Marlboro costing $27AUD or $21.14 USD), I don't blame you for trying to vape instead.

Australia has weird and contradictory laws on vaping products that contain nicotine. It is legal to import vaping juice that contains nicotine in it to Australia yet it is illegal to take possession of it. Keep this in mind when ordering vaping juices from other countries online.

Those are good start ups. How much do you smoke a day?

Thanks for the info Polar Girl :thanks:
I am aware that there were some restrictions but did not realize that it is how you have stated. I can see why our government would make some stupid law for a cigarette substitute then when we pay ridiculous amounts of tax on cigarettes.

That sounds like a law we would have here in the US!!! LOL
That is goofy!!

I was hoping that they were good products to start from. I smoke excessive amounts haha. I currently smoke rolling tobacco (sometime 25g a day, sometimes 25g every few days) which I think is around 12mg strength.

Start with 12mg and buy an 18mg to boost with. If you can get them try juices with nic salts. Hoping you enjoy the journey as much as I have.

I was definitely going to get 12mg but try to make that my new maximum. I mostly only smoke for something to do really (which has become a bad habit) and it's getting a bit out of control. I'm not sure what a nicotine hit from a vape is like but would I be able to switch directly to them from cigarettes?

Some quit cold turkey and do very well. Some dual use for awhile to wean off cigs. Some dual regularly. That ball is in your court. Keep in mind vaping is a tool, not some miracle cure. You will be jonesing for additives more than nic. Takes awhile for your body and brain to adjust to a different delivery system.

That's the impression I have, it may take some time to adjust. I'm not expecting a miracle cure but I hope that my self control is strong enough to swap out the cigarettes for vaping immediately.

I doubt the US would have such laws. I can see vape being taxed as much as tobacco however.

Canada bans nicotine juices but the law isn't really enforced there. It was illegal in New Zealand but they recently legalized it. Hong Kong might ban it in a year.

You've chosen kits that can definitely help achieve your goal. Search for threads and yt vids to watch when you get your gear.

Fasstech.. My first mistake lol. Thought I'd save some money, but underestimated the shipping time.

Fast Tech is possibly the most ironic name in vaping

However, they sell excellent goods at usually the lowest price - so it is a trade off

There is an art to ordering from them also - if an item doesn't say in stock or ships in 24 hours, it can take six weeks or more to get to you :p

Yeah I've seen a lot of people say good things about the products but many bad things about the postage times. Thanks for the tip!

LOL, I thought you were talking about KS> Oz> Wizard of Oz. I'm not from Australia. How embarrassing. That's what I get for not thinking in the morning :headbang:
