I use to be a smoker myself for 23 years 2 packs a day!
I tried to quit smoking by vaping 3 times with no success, mostly cuz of wrong mods and ejuice.
that's a very common mistake for beginners to buy DL (DIRECT LUNGS) Starter kit's when they actually need MTL (MOUTH TO LUNGS) KIT.
The second mistake is that they pick up from the shop the wrong e-liquid with high nicotine and tobacco flavor. then they go out from the shop and cough there brain out :).
thinking vaping sucks.
there is a very simple solution that worked for me and for many others.
follow my tips and you will quit smoking the easy and fun way!

my tips are:
I'm a vendor myself so everytime I'm talking to someone who wants to stop smoking ill give him two different devices to try mostly mtl devices and not dl unless he comes ready and his telling me he wants a dl kit cuz he tried and liked that.

I know it's not a popular advice but I'm advising my customers to get an mtl device and 6 nic juice for half of them it's no good and they return after day or two then I sell them 12 nic ejuice it's not because I'm greed it's only because the second half stay with 6 nic and don't need more . I'm telling them that it's going to be 2 first not easy days so why not do a small effort and get some nic out of there system!

if you're a beginner and need more info you can pm me about more specific details.
(I'm a vendor im not allowed to promote here any products)

Alright, thank you. I have a better understanding now. :)

Not a beginner here, though I am debating & probably struggling to move from 18 mg per ml to around 6 mg per ml. I started at 18 mg. Recently, did a week of attempting 12 mg. Felt I needed to return to 18 mg. I started there as from research that is what a cigarette has inside is 18 mg.

I do need to reduce my nicotine intake. That is going to be difficult for me, physically and psychologically. I am not an addict but a dependent. My body does in fact have a differing physiology than most and has need of nicotine. That noted, know also that in excess nicotine is not doing any good for me.

The wrong here doesn't seem to be tobacco flavored ejuice or even high nicotine juice. The problem appears to be the juice being way too strong for that low of resistance (.25 ohm) from what I seen. 12mg might not even be enough for a heavy smoker vaping at 1.8 ohm.

This is what happens when ignorance combines with greed. Vape gear is not meant to be sold by minimum wage ignoramouses that have no more product knowledge than the general public that never vaped. Vape gear is not McDonald's Dollar Menu products safety wise or even knowledge wise. Hell, it isn't even electronics products at Best Buy.

The closest major industry I can think of that compares to vaping in terms of consumers and sales people needed knowledge level is the firearms industry. Sure there are pawn shops that have ignorant, minimum wage employees overselling expensive and potentially dangerous firearms to ignorant customers that the product is I'll suited for but the firearms industry does seem to do a better job overall.

I don't mean to sound classist putting down minimum wage workers but let's face it, someone who has proper knowledge and is safety responsible will also be far more likely to be economically responsible enough to earn at least a living wage longer term. If a company pays the worst wages allowed by law, it is reasonable to expect the worst employees allowed by law. You get what you pay for in this world.

That's over reacting comparing to the firearms industry. If you were to do that you'd need to compare car sales to the firearms industry also.

Perhaps the firearms industry was a bad comparison. It was the closest one I can think of in a few seconds off hand.

Even rational pro 2nd Amendment people and the NRA itself doesn't believe professional ignorance is acceptable. Of course there are the many delusionally naive who believe this can be achieved by an industry of people earning less than a living or responsible wage.

Car sales people usually do earn at least and often quite more than a living wage as does the shop mechanics. The auto retail industry has massive regulations on safe sales competency especially for mechanics.

Yep even with the correct vape gear, juice and nic level you have to actually WANT to quit smoking and the first week is not easy. But after that it gets much easier. by 2 months you seldom even think about smoking a cig. Although the brief desire pops up from time to time for years.
40 YR 1.5 - 2 PAD smoker.
Close to 3 years now smoke free with vaping.

i was using 10 ml of 12 nic a day i decided i want to lower the dose on nicotine to 6 this is how i did it:
i took 6 nic e juice but first day 15 ml second 14 ml third 13 ml ..,
when i got to 10-11 ml i was using it for 2 months only the first 3 days i felt a little edgy...
after 2 months i used the same method and switched to 3 nic.
today I'm using only 3 nic for mtl and dl .
try it!
important!!: if its not working for you and you find yourself using much more ml per day stick to 18 nic don't increase the use of ml only for few days.
