I'm an authorized re-seller of Vaperz Cloud. We go through a lot of HOG's. First and foremost. I'm guessing you got this used, since I would assume you would contact the shop first, if you bought it new. Vaperz Cloud is a FANTASTIC company! I can't sing their praises enough. I would send them an email with pictures if you are worried/wondering. Include better pics to show the full battery "sled" so the engravings for + - are visible and take a pic of your battery door too. They are very responsive to telephone as well. I would imagine they will help you out. I also would check the authorized re-seller page if you did get it at a shop. I'm guessing not everyone is up, but it's definitely a place to start, if you did purchase it new.

I don't want to speculate as I did not sell the device. I hope that leads you in the right direction. You can message them on Facebook as well. Basically. Go to the company. If you can't trust the seller, wether shop, site, or used... go the manufacturer. They are a U.S. company in Virginia, so you can actually contact them. That's my advice, and I wish you the best of luck! HOG's are fucking AWESOME!

Most likely a clone. Mine's a clone, and the S/N is 1163 - to close to be a coincidence, I think.

NAAAAHHHH you two just got the same production run!

I will say that I didn't want to say too much since I didn't sell it... and I'm not the foremost authority. That's why I always suggest going to the company.

But now that you've chimed in, a fellow shop owner and forum member who I know is reputable as I've seen you around here for a loooong time. ;) (Somehow I don't feel like we've chatted much if at all)

Yeah... I think it's a clone. The contacts immediately raised a red flag. The negative is crooked, which could be from poor installation, but almost looks like theres some solder there where it contacts the frame which isn't right, but could be the pic fooling me. No matter, it's crooked, one. Then the positive contacts have the "buttons" too far to the right... They usually have stickers on the contacts and engravings up top as well. The contacts alone look wrong. Could have left it assembled and just seen that pic to raise my eyebrow.

I see a good amount of them. I didn't want to "call it" but I totally agree. To my eye that's a clone. And I would be weary of using it if it were me... that's his call though.
