Hello there,

I have a Smok AL85 that I've been having issues with, I purchased this mod before I read all of the bad reviews on this mod and I have since upgraded to a Innokin Oceanus. But I want to keep this mod around and use it as a backup... Now my main question is I have had continuous issues with the battery: its gets to hot in the compartment and I get a pop up on the screen "check battery".
If I purchase a new battery will this help solve the problem or would I just be throwing money away?

TIA!

You can never through money away on a good battery, spares are always nice to have. Will a new battery solve your problem? It might, you never know. It very well could be something faulty in the mod itself, but you won't know for sure until you try a new battery. I do realize that the Innokin uses a 20700 battery so the 18650 for the AL85 wouldn't work. But $10 for a new 18650 to see if it takes care of the problem isn't that much. It's a "your call" type of thing. Personally I'd give it a try, if it didn't work, I know enough people that use 18650s that it wouldn't be a total waste.

Thank you for your help! I think I'm gonna try a different battery and hope for the best.
