What's your favorite RDA

I know there's several older threads on this topic, but so many new products have come out since the last thread I could find I thought I'd see what everyone's opinions are now.

Dual Coil: Csmnt. Hands down Love everything about this RDA. Dead Rabbit is a runner up.

Single coil: Wasp nano. No runner up but will be getting a Pulse 22 soon and we'll see how they compare.

Over all is Csmnt. Nothing I don't like about it.

I’m enjoying my Pulse 22 bf rda
Not that I have much basis for comparison.

I also have the Wotofo Sapor rda that I brought the conversion bf for its pretty good too dual coil.

I haven’t had a chance to build my Vandy Vape Mesh Rda planning on trying it with single coil Claptons.

I also have a Wotofo bf rda I haven’t built yet.

#1 a particular goon clone from FT, (yes my favorite RDA is a clone that’s under 10$), even though I have several authentic RDA’s.

I use a 25 gs SS316 3mm id 8 wrap parallel coil in mine and it is just wonderful and fits perfectly. That is actually 16 wraps of wire total. Works out to ~.23 ohm.
26 ga should work fine as well.
Use the build at 26-30 watts on a regulated and use it on my mech squonkers as well.
I only sqounk with it and only drip to test flavors.
Should vape just as well dripping though.

I plan on getting a couple more just in case I break or lose some or they discontinue them.
The are cheap a bit under $12 at FT.

They are a lightly restricted LH, so if you like MTL they are not best for you.

I just bought all SS with the Stab Piss looking top
The first one worked so well I figure why try a different one.

I also like them much better with an open drip tip such as these which are an open funnel shaped inside tip.
Seems to enhance the flavor. Tried a straight bor tip and it seemed to create too much condensation....
Love these drip tips use on tanks and drippers. Pretty much the only drip tip I use for this year. Think I have bought 20 and lost a couple...

Not sure I have a favorite. I like the Gorge, NaRDA, Goon, Velocity. Difficult calling one a favorite.

I only use single coils, but use many dual coil rda's in single coil mode. Right now my favorite is the CoilArt DPro followed closely by the Apocolypse!

I also like the Hellvape Trishul, wasp nano( I have 3 of them Crom...Lol) and an Entheon on the way.

Yeah. I found out about doing that myself recently. Dual coils at 0.30Ω in a Velocity deck is way too hot to vape, at least for me. Went down to the single fused Clapton which as I figured put it at around 0.80Ω. That is much cooler to vape. Broke out a single coil one yesterday evening, the Goon Max (clone), had it already set up but kept having trouble getting it to draw vapor. I looked and it was merely an issue of tweaking the wick a bit. Dong real nice this morning with a . Now, I'm debating weather or not to Brasso up the brass Coppervape or clear-coat it as it's patina-ed. Such a terrible quagmire. *grin*

The Troll v2 by a long shot! I have the recoil, pharaoh,velocity, apocalypse, goon, limitless plus rdta, TFV12 (with the triple coil rebuildable deck) and plenty others. I've bought all the other ones thinking they could beat the troll for flavor and they just can't. I've gone through hundreds of clapton builds and the troll always outperforms all of the others and stays consistent with amazing flavor from build to build. The build deck is also a breeze to slap coils in, I'm currently running 24ga x 32 ga dual claptons at 3.5mm in diameter with 7 wraps and it went in smooth as butter and tastes amazing. My go to build though is 26ga x 32ga claptons 3mm about 8 wraps slightly spaced it's always great for flavor. If you want something great for flavor and a breeze to experiment with then you NEED the Troll v2 in your life! Seriously though it's kinda sad because i've been trying to find something better for about 2 years now and im finally realizing that I don't think there is anything better out there.

Right now, my fav is the Drop RDA. I like it in single and dual coil, as BF for squonking. I love the build deck and airflow, great flavor, even love the clear 810 DT it comes with. It's a great little RDA.

I need to amend my original post. While I enjoy the Wasp Nano, the Pulse 22 blows it out of the water, for me. I've hardly put it down. I'll be getting a Pulse 24 soon just to complete the Pulse family. Hell I may become a Tony B fan boy.

Honestly I love my indestructible. I know, it's super cheap, and finicky to build on, but I find myself using it constantly. I've got a tsunami that I like and a goon. My collection is getting a little bigger thanks to friends. I love building it gets me out of my head.

They designed the airflow perfect for slow on the indestructible. I like how the top airflow works

I'm Really torn on getting the Deathtrap in 30mm or 24mm. My wife bought me a Lost Vape Drone on Black Friday, and it would fit the 30 mm perfectly, but I'm not sure if its the right call over the 24 mm.

On a 30mm RDA that only performs well if putting in a seriously BIG coil build, 166 watts is nothing... it isn't even enough for what I recently put inside my 24mm Goon so don't be fooled by the fact the Deathtraps are "only" single coil RDAs, as the build space on them really is much bigger than you might expect.

I am fairly certain that the drone can fire in straight power/wattage mode.
I do not recall ever seeing or hearing about a TC only mod.

It can just need to lock the buttons and press up or down to navigate to power mod ...then unlock to adjust wattage


Edit: actually hold up/down together for 5s to activate this then cycle up and down to find power mode

Hold again to unlock now increase or decrease wattage

Power mode on the Drone is achieved by raising the temperature protection all the way up to 600°F, and, next, pressing the up button one additional time so that the temperature limit will read "OFF".

I have what seems like an odd question but I'm new to this. For the wasp nano, where should I place the airflow slots when I put the cap on for the best flavor? the side that's parallel to the coil or perpendicular to the coil?

My first venture into rdas got it set up with a single coil @ 0.30ohms and the flavour that comes off it is absolutely unreal. I may be biased as it is my only one but wow haha definitely recommended. A bit fiddly but so so worth it for the end result. I would like to try making quad coil builds and some of the fancier ones you see in these forums or on YouTube so if anyone can point me in the right direction for one with enough space that doesn' blow the budget itd be greatly appreciated.

I had some quad 26 in a troll V1 I believe it was. Like quad 26. Ramp up quick and was a sun blocker for sure. The Apocalypse rda has a large deck as well. Some others have slipped my mind at the moment but I'm sure others will chime in

My favourite RDA of all time has to go to the Kennedy 2-post. Flavour is top notch, and it never leaks, even though I watch juice drip onto the pipes. Some kind of black magic. Airflow is just right, and not having to line up airflow on the top cap is nice. 2-post is also my preferred deck style. I need to buy a second one when my pockets get deep enough..

Runner-ups would be the Temple Mini from Vaperz Cloud and the OG Goon.

Next on my list to try is probably the Deathtrap 24mm, just looks awesome.. I need it in my life.
