It's designed exactly the same as the OBS Engine RTA and OBS Engine Nano RTA, which has been out for awhile now. Only benefit to going with the Geekvape model would be maybe you can get aftermarket seals, where the OBS I can't find a replacement baggie of seals.

First thing I thought as well. Nice to see more top airflow design RTA's, both Engines are killer tanks. Not only doesn't leak but the tank stays cool.

all

be weary of MYVPRO.COM, I tried to purchase this tank on their website yesterday as it was finally in stock (or so I thought).
order goes through even got a tracking number from USPS. got a message earlier today saying as they were processing my order they had ran out. they did say they would give me credit or give me a refund or give me a stainless instead of the black I ordered cause they still had a few of those left in stock. if I had wanted a stainless id have ordered a stainless!

this exact same scenario happened a couple months back with the geekvape aegis.

this was only my second order with MYVPRO.COM and it will be my last.

I think its pretty shady to say you have something for sale when in fact you do not. these guys need to better coordinate their website with their actual inventory cause its obviously been a problem with other people as well as me.

anyone else here experienced this with MYVPRO.COM?

This sometimes not the vendor's fault. Eagerly anticipated items puts pressure on the manufacturer's. They can't deliver as many units as they anticipated. The vendor usually does not know this ahead of time. They are promised x number of units then only receive n number of units. Granted they should wait until they get shipment, but then they lose sales to other vendor's.

I got my GeekVape Zeus from Heaven Gifts and so far I'm liking it! It's easy to build on, it might take a time or two to figure just how long to leave the legs for the postless deck, but it's a snap once you get it. I love the airflow, it has air from under and sides of the coil and is very smooth. Wicking is very easy, easier than the OBS Nano, I have the tails just below the deck. I wicked it right the first time out and haven't had any issues with flooding or spitting. I like the 810 drip tip, but didn't really like how they did the locking mechanism for the top cap. Condensation pools a bit in that mechanism which is at the base of the drip tip. I also wish they had recessed the fill ports.

Overall, I really like it, I haven't had any leaking or seeping. I think it has better flavor than my OBS Nano, and I like my Nano, I like the airflow better, it's easier to wick and looks nicer too.

I have the nano as well, its my go to tank at the moment. I rotate between it and the ammit 25. my zeus should get here Monday, I'm hoping it replaces both. I have seen a few videos where they were filling it and the juice kinda made a mess cause it wasn't going in smoothly.

I haven't had any filling issues, I've used droppers and plastic squeeze bottles and filling was easy. I wish the fill ports were recessed tho, that would let the condensation from the top cap drain better. I end up getting a couple drips here and there from the cap. If you like the Ammit and the Nano, you should like the Zeus as well.

$31.99 and 10% off with code TENOFF

got mine this morning, used a framed staple coil at .30 ohms, wicked it and been going strong already refilled it about 4 times.

good flavor, I can chain vape it with no dry hits. the fill holes are a bit small compared to my obs nano and ammit 25 but I just fill a little slower and its all good.

id recommend it to anyone that likes single coil tanks!

Mine just shipped from Eciggity. FT keeps pushing back ship date, got tired of waiting. Second positive post I've seen today, so far so good.
I hope you enjoy it!

Saw that, but I have a firm "don't spend over $25 shipped on a tank" rule I adhere to which has done wonders in keeping the new shiny urge and vaping budget in check. Not to mention drastically reduces the chance I end up buying something I don't end up caring for, since those type of sales usually coincide with when the reviews from actual everyday users not trying to sell me something start piling up.

But's that's just me. Give me the 10 page thread of everyday user comments, who I can then also compare a few select people I look out for opinion's on past tanks that might have lined with what I like, over a sponsored youetube review any day of the week. If that means I have to wait...I wait.

I need to adopt that rule for myself!

ive accumulated 16 tanks in the 4 years ive been vaping, so not so bad but not so good either

I haven't vaped single coil in ages but I just put 2 of these in my eciggity cart and will probably order them at the end of this month (or Black Friday if better than 10% off) when I order my new squonkers and RSA's.

ive accumulated 16 tanks in the 4 years ive been vaping, so not so bad but not so good either

I accumulated double that my first year of vaping. Thankfully I haven't bought much gear during my 2nd year of vaping but I did just grab a new mech squonk kit and filled up my eciggity cart with $200 of gear for Black Friday.

I have the obs engine nano and love it , I was considering this tank is there much of a difference between the 2?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
Yes and no. The Nano for me is a snap to coil and wick. The Zeus is easy enough, but not as convenient. The af posts will take some getting use to. Daniel's tip about using deck to clip the coil legs is spot on. Wicking isn't hard, just different. After a couple of builds will probably be as fast setting up as Nano. Flavor for me is pretty close. Zeus af is wonderful and smooth at any setting.

I would say @Letitia9 is pretty much correct on it, yes and no. The Nano is easier to build on, but after a couple times the Zeus is a snap. I like the wicking on the Zeus better, think it's more forgiving than the Nano, but same thing after a couple times, the Nano is a snap. I do like the AF on the Zeus a little better and think it has a slight edge on flavor, but it's close. I prefer the filling on the Nano. If you like the Nano, you'll probably like the Zeus.

For myself, the Zeus will not be replacing my Nanos but will be joining them in daily rotation. I'm coming to the conclusion that I will be using different builds in each. In Zeus larger id coils definitely.

Haven't had the Zeus long enough to compare wick life. Makes sense considering Zeus af. I have one sweet juice that is just right in Nano and little too sweet in Zeus. Probably just the coil. Time will tell. Do suspect I will enjoy unsweetened citrus vapes a bit more in Zeus. AF is just perfect for me.

When i checked this morning Gearbest had my order listed as "packed", which got upgraded to shipped tonight.

Hopefully that plays out better then what I've been reading elsewhere on people who made their orders at FT.

Now I'm kinda kicking myself in the ass for not just waiting until Black Friday and grabbing one for the same price shipped out of Ecigity with their 30%off coupon code.

Gearbest actually ended up splitting my order in two (I got a black and a blue), then shipping one a couple of days after the other. Both are still listed as being in China. Which goes back to reminding me why I had stopped ordering from GB in favor of other china retailers in the first place.

My last order from GB did the same. That's why it will be my last order from GB.

20171201_100219.jpg I decided to wait and see if there was a good sale on Black Friday from a US vendor- @Cloudy Peak Vapes had an excellent price on the Zeus, so I purchased it- I received the Zeus a few days ago and this is a very nice single coil RTA, I believe the flavor is much better than the OBS Nano!
Looks great on my CWC Battlestar.
LOL on Gearbest- I couldn't resist some flash sales on November 21st- says it shipped, but there is no shipping info showing for tracking at all, I have a ticket in to see whats up! If I get this package by X-Mas I will be in shock- I never learn with ordering from China- sometimes I get very quickly and other times it could take a month or more! I usually try to wait for a US vendor, but some items I have to use China.

@SnapDragon NY I'm glad you like it! I need to throw another build in mine... did a quickie to test it, and I'm getting some dry hits... too much wick on one side I believe. I'm only getting bubbles on one side, so I probably choked off the wick channel. But... Not a leak! Do that on a bottom air tank and your likely gonna be leaking. Haven't had any time to re-wick it yet, but this inspired me... gonna have to take a moment today to do it! ENJOY!!!

Sorry to hear that you are getting dry hits- I am not getting any of that.
I am using a Demon Killer Coil .36Ω Quad coil (Kanthal) I believe they are 2.5, I mounted high just under the air legs, I heated up the coil for any hot spots and I am using believe it or not Walgreens Organic cotton balls. I could slide the cotton inside the coil I left the tails pretty long and combed them out and cut them just to the side of the deck, even stuffed them a bit under that channel and juiced up the wicks. I closed the air flow to half and started vaping at 35w too warm for me, but no dry hits, some spitting, but turned it down to 32w and vaping really good for me, I even tried chain vaping, again no dry hits and the spitting stopped after blowing down the drip tip a few times. I only notice air bubbles from one side too.
The only slight problem I encountered was the fill cap to lock, but have been getting it to work now, I needed to push and twist harder.
The tank is a juice hog! I am using the SauceLA Red Laces and it is a very good Strawberry licorice, cotton candy.

My first one arrived today and being lazy I decided to use one of the coils that it came with, the mod says it's 0.33Ω and running it at only 17 Watts.
So far I'm very impressed with the flavour I'm getting and using some puff organic cotton I've yet to have a dry hit in fact it's a very saturated taste i'm getting, I'm so impressed I've gone and ordered another one for myself. :)

I got this RTA about 2 weeks ago and I am happy with it for the most part......although I seem to have a bit of trouble wicking it, it's real hit and miss for me although when I manage to get it just right i can get pretty good flavor from it but if I'm off a bit the flavor really suffers. I'm hoping with some more practice I can figure this tanks sweet spot out.

I like it very much but the flavour is not much better than the Engine Nano.
Wicking the ZEUS is easier than the Engine (ok, the Engine is also relatively easy ;-) ) and it is very comfortable.
My #1 for vaping at work at the moment.

I got my Blue version today but Gearbest inexplicably sent my other one, ordered at the exact same time, to the wrong address.

One is a lot better then nothing I guess! I even bought new fused wire for this.

Never again with Gearbest though. But that's on me this time because I really should have known better by now then to do a multiple item order there, which just serves to drastically up the chance something goes wrong in the trade off being made to get the cheaper prices.

I just got this tank, and am fairly new to rebuildables. I got it because fighting with the RBA decks on my Baby Beast tanks was going to make me lose my Zen in a big way.

I've learned a couple of things that might help others:

If you are wrapping your own coils, wrap them COUNTER-CLOCKWISE. This will align the ends of the coil better with the wicking channels. If your coil is wrapped clockwise, you will have to twist it on its legs almost 90° to get the coil ends facing the wick channels. This makes sense when you look down at the deck:
authentic-geekvape-zeus-rta-rebuildable-tank-atomizer-blue-stainless-steel-25mm-diameter-4ml-standard-edition.jpg

IDK why Geekvape decided to offset the screw pockets so far from the wick channels.

Be mindful of your coil diameter, and how high your coil sits above the deck. If it is too high, it will short out on the top of the chimney. If it is too large in diameter, it will short on the airflow diffuser wing thingies (with the holes drilled in them). Those wing thingies have a step machined into them just above the round airflow holes; your coil must be below that step to avoid shorting on the top. The step is clearly visible here:
zeus03.jpg

Depending on your wire, 3 - 3.5mm I.D. seems to be about right. Also, if you're new like me, remember that a single coil will have twice the resistance of a pair of coils, and build accordingly.

It can be tricky to wick the coil, given the serpentine route your wick will take to get over and down to the channels. Use less cotton than you think you should. It doesn't seem to matter if the wick is touching the bottom of the tank or just above, so long as there are no spots which are compressed as you make those curves. Again, the straighter you can align your coil with those wicking channels, the less trouble you will have.

ETA: I'm finding this very sensitive to wicking. If you aren't careful with the volume of cotton in the wick channels, using too little will cause flooding when refilling (a massive flood, in my case). User Roadtrip635 has a photo in post #10 that shows what you're looking for, but again, too dense will cause dry hits. Enough to block flooding, but not so much as to prevent good wicking. How much is that again?

Otherwise I like this tank a lot. It has a durable design, the filling ports are generous (though I use unicorn bottles - eyedroppers suck no matter what), airflow is smooth and it seems to live up to it's 'leak proof' label.

ETA: One last little easter egg with this tank: it can be balanced standing up, slightly leaned over between the 510 pin and the bottom edge of the tank without falling over. All of my other tanks are too top heavy to do this. A small thing, but I think it's neat.

Your coil should be parallel with the air towers not the wick channels. Thin wick tails and you're good to go. As long as the top of your coil is no taller than top hole in air towers you're fine.

You are right; I didn't mean to imply that the coil will sit completely parallel the wick channels, rather that it will be oriented more toward them than away. I believe it's that turn-then-down arrangement of the wick that causes some (myself included on my first few tries) to choke off wicking and get dry hits. Using a sparing amount of cotton helps here as well.

First go i went with a 4 wrap 3mm twisted fused clapton ohm'ing out at .22, since it looked like 5 wraps or anything wider with this particular wire was a little too big.

Wicking like a champ and the airflow is notably smooth, but not sure I'm getting the flavor I want yet. Should of put something in I had vaped before. I'm a constant DIY tweaker for my own personal stash. Worst possible one I could have picked too in hindsight given the flavor combos I used.
