My friend recently got me a used Kaos Spectrum 230w and I am new to vaping. I have an Eleaf Sextuple 0.17Ω tank, that I believe has kanthal coils - also told by a different forum that I should use the POWER mode for kanthal coils? Can someone confirm this and tell me what wattage I should be using, etc? Thank you so much for your help!

Yes you should use wattage mode for kanthal coils, do NOT use temperature mode. Temp mode requires stainless steel, Nickle, Nickle Chrome, or (if your mod supports it) Titainium coils. As for what wattage you should be vaping it at, that's up to you and the coils themselves. The wattage range that the coils were designed for should be etched on the side of the coil. So start there. Drop your wattage to around 10 or 20 watts below the minimum, if I remember correctly the range for the ES sextuple coil is 100 to 300w, so start at 80w and work your way up until you find the "sweet spot", or until things start to taste burnt. Just remember your Kaos is only capable of 230w. Where you end up will depend on you.
