Maybe...but the name of that particular vanilla is due to where it originated at...(then called Bourbon Island)
http://www.amadeusvanillabeans.com/madagascar/map.php

The vanilla extract you might use for cooking often has a alcohol carrier. You could be tasting booze in this mix due to your sensory association of vanilla in/with alcohol.

You could be right. I do have a very vivid imagination. ;) It could just be the combination of flavors reminds me of the Bailey's flavor, and my mind made the jump. In any case, I LIKE IT. :D

it all blends up real good :) nothing over powers anything ... thx :)

Exactly! I was saying those exact words to my husband last night, and told him that these kinds of combinations are the ones I like best. There could be three flavors or twelve, as long as they're all balanced with each other, it's perfect. He even likes it (I sacrificed a tankful to him last night), and he doesn't like ANYTHING I like. His tastebuds are ruined beyond repair after 50+ years of smoking, and he can't taste most of the juices I like, but even he said this one was good, and asked if I'd make him some, too. This is definitely a hit in our house! :)

I just have to say, I am ASTONISHED at the quality of the flavor in this juice. For only 6%, it's mind-blowing. This is my evening vape every day, and I'm not getting tired of it! LOL! I'm such a flavor butterfly, that's really saying something. ;)

Great, I have two, soon three tanks ready to go. Vaping stash as much as I can and making lower amounts to have more variety sooner.
I go through phases. sometimes Ill mix 7 days a week for months and then Ill get to where I dont even care to do it so Ill make a liter of GOC and call it good for a month lol. im in one of my mixing moods lately, hope it last long enough that I end up with something good :giggle:

Sometimes taking a break with a long walk gets my creative juices flowing.

Perhaps a nice hike in the Rocky Mountains is in order?

After a week of aging this mix continues to impress.

Absolutely!

I seem to recall wllmc mentioning that "someone" convinced him to acquire some FLV Brie Cheese flavor. I have no experience with that flavor. I can only speculate that if that's the flavor wllmc is currently mixing with, perhaps no hike is too long. :)

I was thinking maybe mixed with some FA or INW Pear ? (or both)

I believe great care and lengthy consideration to it's proper mixing may be in order. :vino: One of which may be is to be able to mix it with the windows open without losing air conditioning or home heating . :)

The FLV Brie is not bad as a supporting flavor. @Smoky Blue has a site dedicated to FLV and here is a recipe that has Brie and Basil in a strawberry cheesecake that is quite tasty: http://flvfan.com/basil/ Yes, I have mixed it and enjoy it a lot!

You could. I'd maybe start with the same amount and see how you like it I will say I think the FA is much better for this but not going to make a break it either probably. The FA to me has a certain fluff or creaminess to it but peppermint is kinda just peppermint to lol

Thanks for the suggestion and review!

Reading Smoky Blue's Brie flavor review ( http://flvfan.com/brie-cheese/ ) certainly did not give me a whole lot of desire to try it as a single flavor vape.

LOL! Let it be noted that I did not solo test the Brie Cheese. That being said, the Strawberry Spiced Cheesecake recipe only uses 0.267% of the Brie and the recipe with Smoky's Brie Cheese review only uses 0.4%. Steam probably used some ridiculous % in what he vaped on the video. I'm finding most FLV flavors are best when used less than 1%, they are that concentrated.

Looked to me like he was dripping the concentrate directly on the coils.

Roflmao @gopher_byrd !! I am proud of you! I will say adding the VV and the SP (hope those got to you safely!) to the brie cheese omg, with the basil and My beloved Alpine.. omg... I found a bottle i had made at least 3 months ago.. and it was like a fat juicy sweet sweet strawberry, sitting in buttery, sweet tangy cream.. best vape I have had in a long time. So now I have 6 4oz bottles of it hanging out, waiting for me to dip in and drain them in a major hurry!

Lmao.. it was a very scary time, @Ron. I wasn't too sure what to expect, as I don't eat brie often,in fact haven't had any in a few years. I didn't know how it would turn out in juice, but ya know.. now that I did.. yeah it's my best buddy. I will say that since then, I use it in more of my cheesecakes and yogurt blends and really do enjoy it. I have a 4oz of it coming, just for me.

As far as mixing with FLV, I use their bottle tips for droppers. Each one will give me .02 grams. I do have an ohaus that reads to the .001g amounts, however, with new mixers etc, it's just easier to call FLV .02g when I get readings of .017g or .023g, as the aws scale will only turn it to .02 grams anyways... no need in it getting people worried if their scale is functioning right or.. and if you keep up with your drops as all being .02g ya really do not need to worry on if you are in the right ballpark.

The one thing I have noticed is if I say on elr it is 8 drops and it gives a percentage, if i say 7 drops or 9 drops.. nothing much changes on the calculator and it gives me cause for concern if the calculator can keep up with the lowest amounts needed to make a good recipe..

@gopher_byrd , I am very happy you discovered that flv is best used under 1%, some do not get it and the silly amounts I see people using.. gesh! These are ultra concentrates! and my blog has at least 2 notes on flavor overuse and what happens.

NicVape has actually cut their flavors to match tfa strengths now.. a fact that made me cry so hard.. years ago, they were fantastic but due to the community not knowing how to mix them, they cut them for easier mixing.. Straight from Gabe, NV R&D. Sad that happened. really is a shame people do not stop and think of the chemicals and chemical reactions these flavors go thru to create something. If you think that is something, you should hear a few chemists when talking on the community mixers... sometimes in makes me really want to knock heads or go find a place to hide. The best way to tackle a flavor is start from low and work up.. not go see what the average use is and say if they like it there, I must too.. sometimes people can be lemmings!

Been playing with FLV among others now for over 2yrs and ultras are the only thing I mix with now. I am not limited, and actually enjoy the flavors. I can not go back to the rest.. I have been pampered too much.

I hope this makes sense.. Just waking up here.

I did like most the NV flavors as far as the flavor itself. I still use a few here and there. Ive been reading a lot about the FLV flavors seems the most success does come from very small amounts been trying to narrow it down to what I think I might want to try the most and thats where I break down hahah. my cart ends up a couple hundred bucks and I just empty it and walk away. its not the price that scares me its how many I want to try :p Ive always been one to pay a fair price for quality stuff.

Good to know.. and that LT is one I really love.. it's a bit different from FLV.. it's a touch darker and stronger.
I love adding peppermint or ginger peach to it.. it stays in rotation ;)
Oh and peppermint goes nice with it and a touch of ice and cool menthol!
