Ahhh, thank you....
Maybe I will get one of the inax gennies and practice

BAM crew
oh no ..no you can't use cable in the in'ax or the nextgen. you have to use mesh that is the whole point of the design of the in'ax it was to create a genny that was easy for new folks to build... easier to build than a conventional mesh build...you could use cable in the nextera.

try the in'ax with mesh they are dead easy to build, but it is a tootlepuffer you aren't gonna be fogging the room up.the nextgen is just as easy but has a glass tank

What type of mesh do you recommend for it pulse? I’m also really interested in giving a genny a go albeit I’ll probably try a clone first just to see how I get on with it

Anyone ever use the El Cabrone RDA from compvape ...could have sworn I saw @conanthewarrior say he had it as some point?

Saw it for £29 on a site over here looks pretty decent for an authentic

Was looking at the compvape entire line up a little while ago up the Seminole G24 can see how they’ve tweaked the designs on the decks past the twisted messes phase the lot

Still like the look of the double vision a lot
My buddy @wllmc had one, I'm pretty sure it was 2nd in line as the love of his life, behind his family. If memory serves, he'd LOVE to find another.

Ditto, mine still works, as well.

I used mine for a coupe years daily and the only thing I would use at the time. my favorite features were the huge airflow and massive top cap/drip tip and the dang drip tip screws on ! no loosing it!. lol. I had an odd unfortunate occurrence and lost the whole top cap or Id still probably be using it lol. if you had 29 bucks to blow Id recommend it for the collection if nothing else. after that I got the goon 1.5 and like the flavor a little better out of my current set up but for back in the day that was the bee's knee's for me. now Im back to loosing my drip tip and it drives me nuts hahaha. I do miss my El Cabrone and will probably get another one at some point just because I did love it so much. many many many miles on that thing and never had a single issue with it.

My wife and I have been using these tanks every day since we bought them back about June 2015.
We just talked last week about buying a couple more of these tanks, they're great.

Seen there’s a few tobecos is it the super tank that chef posted earlier Mo?

Also for coils are they still abundant and easy to find?

Ours are the original Super Tanks, and they are still available as well as the coils. We prefer the
Aspire Triton Clapton Coils (At;antis coils fit)

Good to know many thanks :) did you ever try the Triton and Atlantis or always stuck with the supers?

As in the tanks I mean rather than the coils

I wouldn't know I have never put anything other than mesh in it...but if you put cotton in a genny, then childeren will throw garbage at you, chase you and call you rude names...women will refuse to have sex with you..you will be despised by society until you finally end your miserable existence alone and by your own hand....but yeah you can use cotton if that's how you wanna live..........actually if you notice the shape of the wickhole in the deck it is not the usual simple hole...it is a whole with a slot across it so that perverts can push their cotton down into the tank.

Damn why did you not mention this sooner. For years I have used cotton in my Krakens. And for years women have been turning me down. I always thought it was because I was getting old. But now I know the cotton in a genny is to blame. Thanks Plusevape. I will remove it immediately

Besides the Kraken there are 2 older tanks that I always keep a build on and have vaped on for years. They are the Orchid V4 and The Fogger V4.1 Both after years of using I can set up half asleep have plenty of spares although they hold up well. And find them in Vape shops clearance section. Which is where I buy the majority of my atties. .

LOL
JK
I've heard that too. But this one has been fine. I have a 100W one also
yeah that is a good example the Nautilis has been around a good long time and there are alot of real experinced people that still keep them around.
Still have mine - the first "real" tank I ever owned.

I still have a few of them, the wife person used them for years. Can't really find coils though, which, is why she stole my rtas.
When she had the coils for them, they were the only thing I found to compete with rebuildables from a flavor perspective.

No, the herkles coils fit the Atlantis but the Atlantis coils don't fit the herekles.(I think)

Besides the herekles coils taste way better than the Atlantis ones. So much so that once you go sense, you never got back. Unless it's to a rebuilable, honestly the only way I could take a subohm tank at all at this point would be those coils and for a short time, like travel. I enjoy building to much, and like to know what I'm getting.
I'm glad I got Shannon into the rtas too, it's cheaper this way.

the petri 1.5 is still my favorite petri, despite all the new versions...and i am pretty happy with my magma (mtl) and mephisto (restricted lung hits) that i got from my local shops 'clearance' rack...and ill throw in another vote for some of the older kayfuns. until i got the prime, my favorite one was the mini v3. im not sure the age of that (might not count as 'older'), but when i got mine they were already up to the kf5 so i figure its (chronologically) older enough :D

I have to agree with pulsevape about mesh and gennies. I picked up an origen genesis v2 and it took me a while to get the mesh build down. Still not perfect but I can see how great they are. Not a huge cloud producer but the flavor is great. Nothing compared to a cotton build.

BTW not an old school guy that learned on these a while ago just picked one up a couple months ago.

Funny you should mention that. I was just talking to @Teresa P a couple of weeks ago about the Tobeco Supertank. Threw a build in it just for nostalgia's sake, and it's still a great vape. Here's a pic I just took on the iStick 50W, which is also still going strong.

I had no idea there was an RTA of the Tobeco! Or a RBA for that matter. I have 5 Minis and 1 Royal Gold Edition full tank. And of course, 10-15 boxes of coils. Not including the Atlantis, Playboy and other coils that work with it.

Jeezzz. Thanks Chef. Now I have to buy a RTA and RBA(s) if I can find them.

$19.99 25mm RTA in SS - eBay....cha-ching, bought it. There is only one seller who has them.

Okay. When I thought 8/8 was Doom's Day, I hoarded like a mad woman on the current hardware. I have 50 mods and 100 attys - yes, seriously.
So using the old(er) hardware doesn't bother me since I have backups of backups of backups.
I have no intention on keeping all of them, but will put some aside for the Apocalyptic day when the plug is pulled, God forbid.

I'm purchasing only more rebuildables. I have enough, but it's always nice to get a new deck, better raved flavor and just plain something 'new'.

I will be reopening my "Unlisted Vendor" thread this week.
Please, visit. Especially later this week.

If you ever come across an old sigelei 150 watt non tc for cheap I'd jump on it.
I've had mine since they were new and it still works great.

Holm Wrecker G2 is a keeper too.
I have four of them that get daily use.

yeah exactlly....there is not much being made today I'm very interested in, but there must be about a dozen attys I'd love to own that are no longer being made.

Are we talking about the original herakles coils here or the plus? If you like the OG, I bet you'll love the plus. Great coils, tank is decent. They are dirt cheap all over the place now a days.

Ehh, I really enjoy the building aspect. Plus, I mostly use rdas now. The tank is just something for travel. I can bring a few coils and not have to worry about wick and wire.
That said, sense does make the best coils on the market imo. Especially for flavor.
If someone would have told me a few years ago that a tank would pack that much flavor, I would have told then they were coocoo for Coco puffs.

I've got 3 original Herakles. Two not opened. Love the flavor and performance. Just hate bottom fill. Ten boxes of coils. I believe the Playboy coils work with the Herakles also.

I've got 3 Crown II and 16 tubes of v2 coils I haven't opened. Oh, one of the tanks is the prototype sent to me by Uwell for review (written). It's half SS and half Black.
I also have the D1 in the coffee color I haven't opened with 2 tubes of coils. Would look great on a SteamPunk.

Well I have the 2-post Kennedy 24 RDA and despite it being fairly old I like it so much I decided to also get the 25, that I'm currently waiting for delivery on. Also agree with @pulsevape on that cheap clones are the nail in quality vaping's coffin because with all the anti-vaping bullshit going on we need the quality manufacturers, now more than ever. I'm getting old too, but that doesn't also mean I don't need myself anymore BTW. :p

My IPV3 is still kicking to this day. A little beat up but it works! I just wish it would've came with magnets on the battery door lol.

I'd also like to mention the Fishbone rda. That thing just kick ass, especially for a cheap 22mm atty. Amazingly thick, flavorful clouds. I guess this one might not stand the test of time because it is glass, but i still have mine! *knocks on wood*

I still get excellent service from my 2 iPV Minis, the first bought for xmas 2015, and the 2nd about a month later. Both had to be wrapped, because those people couldn't do a properly enameled paint job to save their lives, but they both still work just great.

OH YEAH I've been a clearance buyer since after my first rig and first backup. Just dug out my old stuff and been vapin up a storm with it for the past week. Sigelei Zmax telescopics, KSD Kmax, SMOK SIDs and KSD 25 watt Vamo boxes. All in 18350 mode of course. (Didn't bother with the Vamo tube mods tho.)

The 18350 battery life finally got to me tho and packed 'em all away again. I'm gonna keep my old atties goin fer awhile tho, really enjoying them mounted on my Picos. 2 Lemo V1 and 4 Aspire ET tanks.

As far as 'is the old stuff worth it?' Oh my goodness how could it not be worth it? My most recent purchase was a $2 full kit, 75w TC with tank AND wall wart! Before that a $15 full kit 60w TC with tank and wall wart. Both upgradeable and Arctic Fox compatible. Before that a $13 60w TC mod (no SS,not upgradeable but perfect for me).

I don't even SEE the ads for all this crazy new stuff. A new mod is a new mod, all of them satisfy my shineyitis. Feeling like ya stole 'em even adds to the joy!

Love the D2 one of my favourite RTAs in fact

I never did open it. And I checked. I have a tube of 316ss and a tube of kanthal coils.

As for the IPVs, I didn't know they were that good. I've have the mini 2x30w in red and the 2xD3 in blue.

I'll keep a few lipos around. Still got my Target Mini, Mini Volt, Air 50 and Viva Kita 80w. Wasn't sure what to do with those. I think they all have pass-throughs. With my luck I'll forget to charge it often. I do have a 10,000mAh lipstick charger in my purse though. I haven't used my Target Mini in quite a while. Not sure what tank to put on it now. Hmmm...maybe the Tobeco Mini Super Tank.

I think after all of the research I did for the C2 I wanted to go back to my old rigs and didn't look back. When they sent me the D2 as a thank you I didn't hear enough about it to open it up. Besides, I have nothing to matchy-matchy with the coffee color. Good to know.

The D2’s biggest con is the outer glass section fogs up and be sure to close the air vent when filling other than that it really is fantastic flavour with a slightly restricted hit Trixy and more importantly does not leak!

Only need a pair of fused Clapton’s vape at 45w to get the best from it

Yeah my iPV Minis are those original 30w ones -- as mentioned, when you do start to use them, you'll start seeing dings and scratches almost right away, that paint is shit... but Jwraps fixes that nicely. :) The mods themselves are great!

You mean the C2s? I remember now. Yeah, I didn't like that about them. But the no leaking and the the internal bottom vapor chamber was neat.

I saw how smooth the Mini is. Better wrapping them for sure. You don't use rebuildables on those, do you? I would think tanks.

AND, I saw those 510 angled tips! I wasn't sure of the internal circumference would restrict air flow. I prefer the 510's that don't restrict so I can put a wide bore 510 tip. The angled tips have me thinking it's like putting a 510 into another 510.

I have 3 DotMod clone tips in pink, blue and gold. If any of you are interested just pay shipping. :D

Why wouldn't I put a rebuildable on those? I use an Achilles on everything, as you see in the pics.

And yep it's exactly like a 510 in another 510, though for my purposes of the tightest possible draw, I don't find it restricts anything -- I wish it would, I could enjoy some of my other atties a lot more! I use them to prevent hot pops in the mouth, or least to minimize them as much as possible.

The D1 and D2 are identical looking except the 1 takes pre made coils and D2 is a dedicated dual coil RTA
