Voltage Drop

I'm using a Sigelei J150 with 18650 3.7v 3000mAh batteries. Today I noticed when I hit the firing button, the battery indicator and volts seem to drop about 25% (haven't noticed this before, but I also don't see the screen when I'm firing of course). Is this a normal thing? Does this mean my batteries are starting to die? I have had these batteries for almost a year now so I wouldn't be surprised if they were dying. I also just recently put in a new coil, but I don't think that has anything to do with it. Any help would be great. Thank You.

There doesn't seem to be a drop in cloud production, so I'm hoping this is a normal thing.

Specifically what batteries and what wattage?
Some drop is normal even with good batteries. The drop increases as the wattage increases.

And yes with more useage the internal resistance of the batteries will rise causing more voltage drop than you would get with a newer battery of the same brand / model.

Its LG HG2 18650s on 70W. I did notice the higher/lower the wattage, the higher/lower the drop. I was just making sure that 1 of the 2 batteries I have in the mod right now wasn't going bad. I know it's not good to have batteries at different battery life in the mod at once. But they do seem to be charging just fine, so I guess they are just getting old. I probably need to get new ones.

Would you say it's still safe to use these batteries for the time being?

Sure at that wattage you should be fine.
compare the voltages on the batteries when you remove them to charge.
If very different then get a better matched pair.
