Lived there from 1985 till 1990, when I came back, bringing a husband and 2 yr old with me. :)

Heh, the pop. of L'ville was 30,500 as of 2015; Gwinnett had 895,000 as of 2015, might be near or over 1 mil by now. The only county in GA that has more people is Fulton, where Atlanta is.

I had to go to the post office the other day and damnit, they had one person ahead of me and I had to wait. :teehee:

Really, I did and there was one person. Started chatting with them and the girl working the counter and forgot about the time :giggle:

Gotta love a small town :D

There were 3 in front of me but they just needed stamps for Christmas cards.

Spent a few years in the Portland, OR area and 7 years in Tampa bay area...
Have also spent quite a bit of time in the DFW area and used to travel a LOT. to NYC and Chicago, Mexico City, Bejing, etc.
No mo.

I guess. :giggle: Do you want it back now?

Nah, don't need it. Pretty much done with contests. Won a ton of stuff over 2 years before finding something I actually liked. Stocked up on that and just lost interest in having to find a way to get rid of the junk they're giving away these days. It's all yours go get 'em.

When I first started vaping I entered all the contests.
Then they started with this Like me on FB or follow my tweet thing.
And also I do not want much vape new gear now.
If I see something in a contest that I am actually interested in I will enter.

That's pretty much me - except I still like to experiment

The problem is, I feel guilty when I win because I know a lot of people need new gear and can't really afford to experiment

Does VU seem really slow today...? Or is it just me and/or my internet connection? The lag is just dreadful; I'm considering rebooting the PC, but that's very time-consuming in its own right, and if it's just VU that's lagging, would be pointless.

It's going fine for me today - and we are all screwed up, keep getting brownouts and short power outages

Perfect way to get your shit fried if no serious surge protection

Not sure what it was, though I did need to update FF, and it seems to be going a bit better now. Also I had to uncheck "allow acceptable ads" on ABP, because there is no such thing, all ads slow down page loading. I'm a donator, I shouldn't have to slow down my browser with stupid ads. But I do need to send VU a bit more, it's been a while since I did.

Hmm. Apparently the new FF has utterly abandoned Ajax support, because I can no longer view my alerts just by mousing-over, but have to click it, just like in chrome. If that's the case, then I have no more reason to use FF at all, since that Ajax support was my only reason for using FF for the forum.

Firefox Quantum doesn't work well after first install but after a few updates get pushed through it works better.

Hmmm, can't help but wonder who struck a blow and nominated the Achilles for RDA of the year

Give ya 3 guesses and the first two don't count. ;) I might have also been the only one to select the Minibook as the best mod. :D

Just now... can't say I really mind it. but i very much mind the loss of ajax, and the quick n dirty mouseovers to activate the Alerts and quicks views in the New Posts list. I may have to do a full system rollback to get back v56.

Ok, TVs over, dishes done, ejuice made, and I finally got back to my PC to see my recovery back to the last restore point on 11/29 has finally finished and restarted, and I have my v56 of FF back. And before I started the restore, I left Mozilla some nasty feedback about what I thought of their lack of Ajax support in v57; they must think we're all a bunch of luddites who won't know the fucking difference, but I GOT NEWS for THEM! Having a 64-bit browser does NOT make up for missing Ajax.

Some of my addons seem to be missing, hmm. Must investigate.

I remember Ozzy pissing on the Alama

Never knew that.
Surprised he made it out of Texas alive.
They take their defeats seriously.

Doesn't Alaska have monuments at Attu and Kiska, in the Aleutian Islands?
And require school children to make a pilgrimage there?

Sadly, few Americans even know the Japanese occupied Alaska islands and oppressed Aleut people during the war

Man - good thing I'm home this week - the only road in and out town is still closed and the weather has been too bad for the planes to fly

Extreme snowfall, avalanche close Richardson Highway near Valdez

Yikes! Glad you're ok! I saw a thing on weather.com about a usually-busy road that might as well be closed, as it's completely deserted -- one of the interstates in the Los Angeles area... thx to the evacuations. Those people are not going to have a very merry xmas at all. :( I thought it usually rained in southern CA in the winter.
