Depends on the coils. The answer is yes, it's enough, but will the coils produce what you want? That's the question. I mean you can build 10 coils and power them with 20w but it's gonna be a utterly shitty build, at least for me and most people. I'm leaning toward no, but without more information I don't know what to recommend.

Are you into clouds primarily, or flavor? I would have to assume clouds?

Yeah man, need more info on your equipment and what you want out of it.

If you do single wire builds then maybe. Example is 3 coils made with 28 gauge wire wrapped 6 or 7 times around 3mm diameter. That might work at less than 80 watts or even 26 gauge at the same specs.

Although what I have read is you will get better performance in the same wires ran as parallel in a single coil with or without it being claptoned.

i have an atomizer for clounds and single subohm for clouds

okay. thanks you give me an idea :D

I'd say 3.5 Watts a piece...

Just kidding. The type of coil, how much Mass is contained, alloy used all play a part.

3 coils single wire, I could see 80 might be ok, especially if Nichrome is used., But 3 fused parallel coils, 3 juggernaut coils, or Staples fuck no. Not for me. I'd need 120 atleast for those builds to be warm enough for my vape

i would like to build triple coil but is 80w enough to power it ?
I used three regular kanthal claptons on the Azeroth RTA triple deck that came out about 0.1ohm (.3 ohm per coil) and personally speaking I was vaping it around 70-75 watts and it was fine. Be mindful if using a single 18650 even on a regulated mod, as this will likely be drawing between 20 and 25amps at 80watts, depending on the voltage left in the battery. Therefore, for safety I would recommend using a dual or triple battery mod for higher wattage vaping.

I would more than double that for a start, but it depends on the coil build and what you like... I have built advanced coils that, in single coil mode, vaped best at 88 watts so based on that knowledge I guess I also could have told you to at least triple it instead.

We just need more info. Coils very wildly in performance, styles of vaping play a big part. I think tho, it's a safe bet he ain't using multi core aliens if he's posting this. I'd say 3 coils 2.5 to 3 being the average I'd, and maybe at most Clapton or twisted wire, I'd probably at very minimum want a mod that could do 150.

Only one of my regulated mods can't do 200 watts, and I only use it for measuring my ohms.

Lol, yeah. I need a tab, but I usually just build on my old Kangertech kbox mini. It's decently accurate, and depending on big wire I can go up in wattage to make installation a dream. So easy.

I'll say this, that little kbox mini taken some abuse and still works.

The Sifu B-Tab is highly accurate in that it always reads .01 above the resistance that the vast majority of DNA mods will report.

How many watts for triple coils?
roughly 3X the watts that one of the coils vapes nicely on.

If 1 coil vapes nicely on 30W then 3 would need in the neighborhood of 90W.

Of course it all depends on the coils and atty.

But no an 80w mod will not be adequate for most 3 coil attys as they seem to be mostly made for big high wattage coils.

Just my opinion though, others may vary.

Great way to put it. I get too wordy sometimes trying to explain shit. Nice and simple sometimes works better. Good job Cromwell

Lol, very few single coils would I even like to vape low as 30. 3 26g regular coils could honestly work at 80, but that's the very lowest I'd go. Most single wire ups I vape at 75 Watts. That being said, in that case, I'd probably go up to 115- 130. Every type of coil will cause and effect different standards.

3 26g fused Claptons I'd start of at 80 and go up from there. I'll always try to go low so long as the vape still stands up to my, (my), [MY] standards. I like warm dense vape.

What kind of vape do you like. What coils have your used that you like, also... Think about times that the vape was less than perfect and by much. What made that vape less than satisfactory.

I have and will rip out any set up that's not providing a good vape. Because I can.

Also, if your mod only goes to 80, or 100 what made you get a tri coil set up??

The lowest watts I've ever vaped at was 80 watts on a dual coil 26g Nichrome80 / 36g Nichrome80 fused claptons build with 7.5 wraps, 2.5mm ID. It's how I picked up vaping and got me instantly off cigarettes... about a week later I had already upped it to 90 watts so yeah, if you gave me 30 watts I'd definitely still be smoking cigarettes, as I couldn't even dry burn my coils at 30 watts, let alone vape at 30 watts.

I want to say no, but that's my personal preferrence. It depends on the person. I know I don't go under 120 watts when using quads because as far as I know, more coils = more wire to heat = more power needed to get that good balance you seem to be looking for = faster battery drain. That's why I usually stick with duals.
