Another interesting 2. Fucking Goldilocks looking at these. I like parts of a few but nothing as a whole for the door choices

Of all my mech squonkers, the garage mod is my precious, my chosen and favorite. Feels great in the hand, large button, perfect short throw and hits hard. Delrin, juma and silver... what's not to like.

The damn modmaker delrin saftey lock on the 510 contact nut, that's what. Flops around like a dying fish. The one on the minimal mod is perfect... some type of 3d printed design, snug, works perfect. So I ordered these on Monday and received today.

Identical to the minimal mod type, just shortened the nub a bit. Now the G-mod is perfect, all is well in my kingdom. That is all.

Guess that is one way to do it... No eye bolts? Some like these...

Nut/lock washer/washer other side of bearing washer/lockwasher/nut

Eliminate the JB weld ;)

Edit: If I had one of these...I'd still add in the fishing line spinners lol...

I still believe for what you get with the Garage Mod its one of the better buys on FB. As some one so delicately puts, for a finner poker its damn nice ;) lol

Yeah I'm going to use swivels still, but this thing spins! Want one? I might put some together and sell them cheap but I'll throw you one for free for helping me with the thousand coil questions! Lol
As far as the eye bolts, nope I don't have any on hand and I just whipped this up quickly with things I had.
It's supposed to screw right into your board so you'd need pretty long bolts and it would still need an adhesive because the hook needs to be attached to the center ring. Well it doesn't NEED to be but I'd rather have the spinning going through the bearings.

See the screw holes?

Correct... if you use an eye bolt, you would grab washers that would only sit on the center bore...as for attaching to the 2x4 you can drill a hole out or countersink the board to make room on the back...

It looks like those 4 inner holes would be perfect for mounting a few wood screws to the 2x4 once you measured the center line matched with the drill height.

Yup that's what those holes are for. Best thing about this one vs the other one you showed is the bearing is very easy to switch out. I don't think the other one came out very easy.
I was thinking about just adding one of these to the center ring. Would soldering it on be strong enough?

Just got this new squonk and it's got a messed up connection somewhere I believe. It's hitting like shit and the contact bar is getting super hot? Anyone got an idea where I should check first?

pictures... typical squonks like the molly etc not many points to look at...

510 the insulator is bad would cause a short or semi short... rest would just cause arc marks if not mating right

Edit: Especially if your RDA has a longer connector... would compress a MM510 to where the spring would start to creak as you tightened it

I've had a bad MM510 before... the spring was bad... there was small metal shavings in the 510 with the spring as was causing issue... Cleaned it out and stretched the spring and all was good after.

I've already tried undoing the 510 and it looks fine. The contacts getting hot down to that magnet and it's also getting the magnet warm but not below it. Just quickly firing it is making the top of the contact (where it makes connection) to hot to touch in just a couple small fires.

From the picture and things that look off...the only thing that doesn't look normal is that honking thing just above where the feeding tube connects....I don't believe its the angle you took the picture, but it doesn't look square...looks crooked slightly

Have you contacted the manufacturer?

I wouldn't mess about with it too much as you should be able to get a refund or replacement seeing as it's new and the 510 is likely faulty.

They still have a few hand picked ones on the Asmodus site. If you want one, you need to act fast, pickns are getting slim. These are $129, the regular run ones are $99.

Crap - they put some new ones up!

What does the opposite side of yours look like?

Bought it used, it's definitely a cheap 510. It's a Armageddon v1 and I just completly disassembled it and it seems to be hitting better but the top of the contact is still getting scolding hot.

I wouldnt use it... no reason for similar metals to get hot like that UNLESS there is major impurities in the metal. Would be like how Old knob and tube wiring or aluminum to copper in older homes... its known to cause fires

Only thing that would be the culprit then it the item with the most parts... 510/rda... the circuit is a simple one... I'd say its the 510.
Yeah checked both, 510 is not awesome but after taking it apart it doesn't seem like anything's "wrong" and I just put my rda on a regulated mod and it's reading great no shorts or anything.

First impressions about the Luna. Feels solid, has a bit of heft but it is very nice and comfortable to hold and use. After ordering it I was unsure if I would like the fire button placement, it turns out I actually like it, very easy right thumb fire. Not a big mod, not overly shiny, a rather dull finish.
