many questions. okay, so, i'm a newbie, started vaping two weeks ago and went from grocery store cigalike to the ego aio basic to the eleaf istick basic to the smok alien during that time. LOL! right now, i'm loving my eleaf. love it, love it, love it. it fits and feels in my hand perfectly and i love the drip tip. the only problem is that i like the vapor and nicotine hit from the ego aio much better. but i love the feel of the eleaf in my hand and the drip tip so much that i want to keep the eleaf as my primary vape. i noticed that the coil in the eleaf is 0.75 ohm whereas the one in the ego aio is 0.6 ohm.
so, i thought that maybe i would prefer a 0.6 ohm but couldn't find any for the eleaf. what i have found are coils that are 0.15, 0.75, 1.2 and 1.5. i am looking for MTL so, obviously, i figured i'd need 1.2 or 1.5 but, since i prefer the 0.6 (in the ego aio) over the 0.75 (in the eleaf), i thought that i should forget the higher ohm coils even though i haven't vaped from coils higher than the eleaf 0.75.
i got the smok alien as an experiment to see if the vapor from the baby beast tank and the lower ohms would give me an even more satisfying MTL experience even thought i read everywhere that you can't MTL with subohms. i've tried it and the vapor is too warm for my tastes and the throat hit is too harsh (12mg nic, yeah, i know, lol). i replaced the drip tip with the eleaf drip tip because i couldn't MTL with the wide drip tip that comes with the baby beast tank.
so, back to the eleaf. i then figured that maybe i should get another tank for the eleaf besides the GS Air 2 that it comes with. after all, it comes with an adapter so there must be another tank out there that handles 0.6 ohm coils or something different that might give me a better MTL vape. but i can't find any.
so now i've purchased some 0.6 ohm coils for the baby beast tank to see if that will work. currently, my baby beast has a 0.4 ohm coil and it is designed for 40 - 80 watts. i found the 40 too warm and dialed it down to 30. still warmish but i can deal with it for now. but it's still not as satisfying as my ego aio or eleaf and doesnt' produce as much vapor, it seems to me.
anyway, my questions:
1. what tanks can i use for my eleaf besides the GS Air 2?
2. would i really enjoy a more satisfying MTL vape with higher ohms (1.2 or 1.5) if i am finding that i prefer the 0.6 ego aio coil to the eleaf 0.75 coil.?
3. if i use 0.6 coils in my baby beast, will this be equivalent to using 0.6 ohm coils in my ego aio?
4. is it safe to set the watts for my baby beast coil, or any other coil, below it's recommended range?
5. why does it seem like i produce more vapor using my 0.75 eleaf than the 0.4 baby beast?
thanks.
