Take a guess which branch of service I was in.......... We were born in a fucking bar and decided to go help fight and have been doing it ever since........ some other branchs of service have volumes all about their mission statement. We have about a paragraph for a mission statement and about a third of that mision statement is "To seek out, close with and destroy the enemy"

We're pretty faithfull fuckers as well........

Rub some dirt on it Marine...
Right here giving sage advice.
I thought it was funny but you could tell which area of the world port of call was by the color of the clap the Marine brought back.

What happened to it.. :(

This is a SINKEX video made by myself and DESRON-2 on the USS John F Kennedy battlegroup in Oct 2001. The aircraft are from CAG-7. Total composition- 2 HARM missiles, 2 Hellfire Missile, 2 Penguin Missiles, 4 Maverick Missiles, CBU-99 Cluster Bombs, about 40 Laser Guided Bombs (LGB) using the MK-82 500lb warhead, 1 air-launched Harpoon Missile, 9 surface-launched Harpoons, Naval gunfire, and finally a MK-48 ADCAP torpedo. This is a short version of a very long video.

Took a hell of a pounding :D

Damn not as many squids have posted so far. From my user name some of you may have guessed I was Navy. Sonar Tech Surface. After going through boot camp in 1984 and then reporting aboard the first thing I noticed is that pretty much everyone had 2 things glued to their hands a cigarette and a cup of coffee. So I expected to see more of us who survived that switching to vaping. As for visiting the corpsman I will admit to 2 visits to sickcall for a cold of course. It was just a coincidence that one was after Liberty call in Subic Bay and the other was after Thailand. ;)

Med retirement went through...missing my colon, left glute, tailbone removed, 5 skin grafts, hearing is shot. Got 60% DOD and 70% VA. Im okay with the ratings just thought it would be higher oh well it is what is. Military docs tried to keep me on oxycotin i filled the scripts but dont touch it....safer to get edibles n denver. What ultimately pisses me off is a few people i knew got 100% for bogus shoulder pain. VA ratings are broke n what sucks is did a normal fitness test n redid a spec ops indoc yet they said i still wasnt medically qualified..sorry wall o text im just semi pissed n wanted to vent to my brothers

Vent away. I bet many of us here have been through it and understand the frustration. I know I have. Sounds like VA math might be holding your rating down.

If you can't work, you could get to VA 100% IU. And it might be a months or years long process but you might be able get your rating increased. It requires that you be very involved in the process. I'll post a couple links were you can look into it and feel free to ask here for any help. It's been awhile, but I still know how to get most information and I'm sure others here could help too.

@Midniteoyl likes VBN; http://vets.yuku.com/

Many veterans have done well using VBN.

I like Hadit; http://www.hadit.com/

It is very very hard to get 80%+ from the VA upon discharge.. You can put in to up it, however. Also, @ 70% you can apply for IU if you cannot work. Passing that fitness test is what hurt you though..

I would suggest going to VBN in my link and reading around/asking questions.
