Stop me from buying a subohm tank

Can't believe you paid shop retail for a Smok. Should have gone with a Fireluke, you'd be happily vaping away now.
I took advice from someone who didn't know any better. He thought his tank was awesome until I let him try an rta. Now hes saying the same thing as me. These coils do not wick correctly causing dry hits. It's not a burning hit but just enough to dry out your mouth.

I have a cleito 120 with the rba deck. 26g twisted kanthal coils 3mm id coming in at .48 ohms. Vaping at 50 watts. Dense and flavorful clouds with massive airflow. I tried chain vaping it to see if I could get a dry hit. I had to quit before it did. I believe it cost me something like 38 dollars for both online. That was with a 70vg 30pg mix. I haven’t tried anything higher vg with it but I don’t see why it wouldn’t perform the same.

I would never tell anyone NOT to buy a Crown.
I've been using the original one for the past 3-4 years now.
Yup. If you’re gonna do it, I second @Howard Hughes and go OG Crown. Or Herakles. Both have good sized tanks, good coils that last weeks....I still use mine every day!

I didn' want to bash smok but...yeah I gave up on the sub ohm tanks. I remember someone suggesting a tank that works well but I don't recall where it was mentioned or what it was. But when I was tired of dripping I wanted a sub ohm tank so I tried the crown v1 and it sucked, well after the first coil I couldn't ever get a good vape. It was as you described dry hit but not burning. As if it wasn't juicy but not burning hard to describe but the coils lasted maybe 2-3 days. Then I tried the "awesome" tfv4 and I had the same experience only more expensive coils.

I was on here reading about a rebuildable tank that alot of people liked. They were buying 10 of them each granted not many people knew of it but still seemed like a winner. So, I bought the boreas and never looked back until I bought a g class and well the aromamizer plus was made for it so here we are.

Check out the Griffin 25 plus. Its easily my favorite RTA. To wick it you just lay the ends of your cotton on the bottom of the deck. So simple, and I never get dry hits or flooding. Its under-rated.
The Griffin 25 plus top airflow was my first RTA. Wicked very easily. Seemed like people were having problems wicking it on various YouTube comments back then. I always wicked it the same as Just Frank and never had a problem. I has a decent capacity 5-6ml, but a proprietary drip tip on the top airflow model. You can find the regular Griffen 25 plus on eBay for $20-25. Good old tank!

woke up this morning, took a hit and the coil was fried. Seems there's a ghost in my house that puts batteries in my mod and vapes while i'm sleeping. That's the only explanation.

so I brought a dripper to work. Hate doing that though.

Man you guys are good at stopping me. I'll look into the x baby. I assume it's small which isn't going to fly with me.

I mentioned the prince because a buddy has it and his coils last a couple weeks with my DIY juice.

So I've been using rtas, rdas, and rdtas for almost 2 years. I started using rebuildables because I was tired of my coils burning out in a couple days and building coils sounded fun.

Well for the last month or so my rtas specifically have been pissing me off. I just cannot get them to wick properly. I'm tired of going to work with a tank that ends up in dry hits. Like today for example, yesterday morning I rewicked my manta and it worked great all day. Get up this morning and now it's not. WTH?

Seriously contemplating stopping at a b&m (another thing I never do) to grab a crown or the smok prince.

I drive truck over the road. I take 3 mods and 3 different juices with me and they all have Crown 3 tanks on them.
I do this because I can swap coils easily on the road in case one burns. Never had a problem with the Crown 3 tanks.
However at home I only use RTA's. Herakles RTA 4's actually. Much better flavor. I've learned to wick and operate them so they never leak and they don't give dry hits. I just ordered 20 of the Herakles RTA 4's for $8 a piece. I'll build them and will start taking them with me.
I'm tired of buying coils.
Just remember, pre built coils IMO don't give the flavor that a rebuildable does.

I know. Hell this one looks to last 4 to 5 weeks at least. Nice to have one tank I don't have to wick.
