Hey everyone (hope this is the right section). I just bought a geekvape ammit dual v2. I'm pretty hyped and excited to start making my own coils. I have lots of cotton and just bought some 28g ss wire as well. So I just have some questions:

1. How often do I gotta re wick It?
2. How long do ss coils usually last?
3. Can I use tc?
4. Is it cheaper overall than buying prebuilt coils for example a tfv12 t12 coil.

Thanks guys ^.^

Depends on the juice mostly, anywhere from every day to maybe weekly

2. How long do ss coils usually last?

Depends on how hot you run them and quality of wire, I make my own SS fused claptons with quality wire and they generally last me around 3 months on average

3. Can I use tc?

Yes

4. Is it cheaper overall than buying prebuilt coils for example a tfv12 t12 coil.

Much, much, much cheaper and also much better quality

Thanks guys ^.^

What they said......

I will add.. diy builds cost about 10 cents a coil or less for a basic build.. a multi wire build like clapton ect will cost a few more pennies. Add that to the fact that a bad wick doesn't mean you have to toss out the whole build. DIY is a no brainer cost wise. A spool of wire costs less than a single coil head.

As for spaced vs contact. Some build work better spaced some dont. Multi wire builds do seem to TC better with spaced coils.... in my experience spaced coils stay cleaner longer... contact coils make bigger clouds and burn more wicks.

10 cents?
Closer to 2 or 3 cents with top quality wire.
