I've been thinking of making claptons, aliens and others soon, but i don't have the $$$ to burn for practicing. been too tight on budget lately due to my girlfriends pregnancy. I'm getting a wasp nano next month or so and it would suck if i still be using micro coils on those kinds of atomizer. all im asking is if you guys got some extra spools of wires that you won't be using anymore so i could start practicing on making claptons and other variants i would gladly appreciate it. Its fine if i don't get any im just trying my luck over here.

PS. Ill be posting the coils i made at the coils section if i could grab some wires to use.

Ok lol. Out of curiosity why not? I never used it I just built the coil to see if I could. Had the kit laying around anyway. Is it caise it has a coating?

If you don't know what's in it, don't heat it up and inhale from it. I doubt the picture kit says what grade
of SS the wire is, does it? Like 316, 304, etc... Being made for sale at the Dollar Tree, I doubt it is a grade that's safe - and hey, you can get 8 times that length online for just 2 or 3 times the price...and know the source and the material

If it's just for fun and not use, yeah sure, still cheaper to buy real wire on a spool though overall

I'm sorry I don't have any wire to send you. But I do know a secret for really cheap wire. The dollar tree here (idk where you're from but) has picture frame hanging kit that comes with about 4 feet of stainless steel wire. Think its about 28 gauge. I made a Clapton coil with it and it came out to .7 ohms with 5 twists on a precision screwdriver. Only costs $1

i tried a couple of copper wires which is available on local hardware, i don't know why but it keeps on breaking. i got 28ga and 30ga wrapped with 36ga but both 28g and 30g breaks, and everytime it does that i always try to avoid getting hit. yeah its so dangerous but i don't have much of a choice as getting vaping supply in my country is quite expensive. everytime i go to local supermarkets i always check the hardware section to look for suitable wire to use for practice but no to avail and it sucks.

What country are u from? I have a little bit of wire I don’t use but you would have to pay shipping. And if u were Already going to pay shipping you might as well order some from a website or other vendor

Buying wire from a vape shop should not be a budget killer. Looking at this thread just made me wonder how well stainless steel electric fence wire would work. I still have a quarter mile of that.

nah vape supply is currently expensive here a wasp nano which cost about $12 at fasttech sells for about $30 here. though you could get it for around $20 - $24 on other region but they also charge shipping which cost around $4 usd. I'd rather buy directly at fasttech and wait for a month. could you check if that ss not springy if you dont mind.

@Lady Sarah check this out.

a 100ft spool of kanthal cost $20 but at kbee you could get 6 spools of 100ft for about $22.

P.S
and btw its alot cheaper to get vape supply online as there's some price competition going on than buying it locally. but still its way too expensive.
