Is there anywhere that lists the different size magnets you need for various Much Mods.
With so many clones out there, which size fits which mech?

Also links to "How To change them out" would be nice.

Also are 3 magnets better than the normal 2 I see for sale?

Thanks for any information.

Hi there. Don't know if there is a list but can tell you that the Hcigar Nemesis uses 17x10x1 ... 17 mm is the outer diameter of the magnet, 10 mm is the inner diameter (diameter of the hole), and 1 mm is the thickness. Fasttech, and other vendors, sell 13x9x1 mm magnets. They should fit but I have not tried them.

I have an Hcigar Chi You and it uses 9.5x6.35x1 mm magnets.

Whether to use 2 or 3 ... a magnet's strength is designated by its 'N' rating with most magnets I've seen between N35-N52. The higher the number after the N the stronger the magnet. You might want to use 3 N35s but maybe only 2 N45s. Personal preference will decide that.

There are YouTube videos showing how to install the magnets ... it only takes a minute or two to install them.

Thanks for those 2 mods sizes and how the strength is numbered.
Still need more sizes for other mods.
any of you tech types have those measurements?

I know others may want this info as well...

I need to get a MM measurer. (SIC).
See sellers listing some magnets but want alot for them, 5 to 10 bucks for 2 or 3 and on magnet sites, you can buy a bunch for the same price. trying to buy them that way... 5 of a size for $1.50 to 2.00 depending on the size etc.
Some higher and some lower...

One other thing about those magnets ... they are VERY fragile and the higher the N rating the more fragile/brittle they are. I have cracked a couple by letting them slap together when not paying attention.

Ya and if they're zinc plated they chip easy. They're not really made for playing with. Fit them in your switch or Modbox lid and leave them alone

Just to echo the others; they break easy and some times show up broken in half so it is best to order a multi pack! or more than you need.

Think I am following up on this tread, hope that there are coming some interesting magnet size info :)

I have magnets on the way for my nemesis clone an really looking forward to them, I have never had a mod with some in it so I'm excited about trying it out.
If I like it then I will get some for my original JM22 and jm22 clone and Carevela clone, only if it's possible by the way.

what is the advantage of magnets?

The spring will tend to catch and give you a crunchy/sticky feel to the button where magnets are a bit smoother. you can also vary the number of magnets to adjust the tension of the fire button.

It's possible to make any mod a magnetic switch, you just need to measure and then find a source. Some venders sell some but are over priced if you want to really look for magnet sites. BUT...... if you don't want to do the research, then they are the way to go. Just remember, that clones are not all alike in switch sizes. Why I am having some much trouble getting a list together. Right now I have 6 different nemesis clone sizes. The FastTeck magnets only fit 3 of them and some other mod clones. So be careful if you order those. They can be drilled out if you have the right equipment but possible loss of magnet power can happen. Looking for a site that will make custom ones. (size, drill etc....)

So far I like the ways my mods that I have convert work..

Normally I do the research on all what I want to do/make but first I will try it out on the nemesis clone before I jump over the rest of my mods.
I don't think that it will be a problem to drill I'm out, just gonna take them with me to work.
But for now I will wait for the postman bringing me my magnets ☺

Good luck drilling....mine are so brittle they crack if you look at them crosseyed;) And very hard. would suspect drilling not an option!
I think I bought a 10 pack with only enough for a working pair left. but I dont use the nemesis anymore.

i got my nenesis clone from Angels....now on this list will these magnets fit or are they for the origional,or are they the same
My Nemmies are all from SlowTech or Ebay and i used the Nemmy magnets from FT in them. They fit just fine on mine, as i'd imagine they would on yours. Just remember to slide them apart rather than pull, or they'll break.

I have not had a chance to measure those from Angels yet. The FT ones may fit... Like I said, it's a crap shoot. At least the FT ones don't cost much. best bet is to measure the switch parts and then buy....

18(x) Bagua clone. Manufacture unknown. It's the one that's built like the Chi You, with the wide vent/adjustment ring and lockring, but the switch is completely different internally...

4.2mm ID x 7.2mm OD x 4mm T "Barrel" magnets. Or you can stack 4 disk magnets for each pole.

There's also enough room to use up to a 17mm OD, but I wasn't able to locate any with a small enough ID to not slide around on the post.

MechMagnets.com is the spot to get them now as far as I am concerned. Don't have everything but cover quite a few (AV, Comp Lyfe, scndrl, etc...) and on top of that most are available in Silver and/or Gold plating. Doesn't get better than that...I feel raped every time I buy something off Platinum and there customer service is almost non existent.
