Squonkers are Bonkers

I've got a quick question for y'all, particularly the ones who own a Luna.

All my current batteries are married 20A/3000mah's so I gotta buy some batteries for the Luna. Should I go with the VTC4s or VTC5As? I'm guessing the VTC4s would give me more power while being almost half the price; plus they would be great with mechs that I know I'll eventually buy.
I'd say it all depends on what kind of build you used.If you going to go super low (0.1 to 0.35) then go with the VTC5A.
If yo plan on building higher (0.4 to 0.9) then go with the VTC4 and save yourself some cash.
Oh and grab your batteries/cells at https://www.rtdvapor.com they only sell authentic's.

PS: IF YOU AIN'T USING THOSE MARRIED BATTERIES/CELLS CURRENTLY YOU CAN DIVORCE THEM.JUST DON'T REMARRY THEM BACK OR MARRY THEM WITH OTHER CELLS.

ohh succumb to the hype and hysteria and buy a couple already...
I don't go after things for hype, I go after things i like and sometimes they happen to be hyped. There's a difference. Half the people here that used to say the haku was just hype now own one (or 2! Lol) just saying...
Not always but most of the time (especially here with the bonkers) if a bunch of squonkers are saying an rsa is good, I listen.

a bit higher would be better, over 0.21

SS would probably be ok, since resistance goes up when you fire it

It could handle it but you're pushing your luck. If you build at 0.25 - 0.30 you'd give yourself a good safety margin. Let Ohm's Law be your friend!
Yep on a freshly charged battery/cell at 0.21ohms you'd get @ 84watts on a mechanical squonker which might be a bit too much for some.I just can't see myself vaping that high.:confused:

Don't let me stop you, lol

Maybe I got lost a bit here. But what tank only costs a buck?
Could you drop me link please?
It was a Triton RBA from.. world vapor? vapor world? Listed in this thread or maybe the billet-box thread.. They only ship "adult signature required", so someone has to be at home. I ordered a pair and spent about 140% more in S&H.

I ordered a $5 atlantis-clone from Kidney Puncher to test it in and it does work quite well. I dunno if I'll ever get a BB clone and A-tank, but this thing does make me consider some newer tank that fits atlantis/triton coils. Seems like the sort of thing it's handy to throw in the car for "Those Days" on the road or at work.

Thanks for the help with batteries guys.

I'm looking at single coil, squonk friendly atomizers. I have a Wasp to use on it for now, but I cannot seem to stop its condensation from working its way onto my lips.

So far I'm considering the Nudge 22, Pulse 22, GR1, and possibly the B2k. I'd love to get a Krma but that's going to take awhile. So I'd like to find an RDA that won't give me a bath every time I take a puff. Any suggestions or insights?
You using a drip tip 510 should fit in the wasp and also if it whistles raise coil a little.

Mmmmm, no that wasn't exactly what I said, that was me over squonking, I also said I had no issues with over squonking but as with any RDA you need to learn exactly how much pressure you need before over squonking.

95% of what I say is usually off the mark or total rubbish but on this one, I'll stand my ground.

Still love you though

Sent from a dog in a shed!
Spitback is also a sign of over squonking.

Just went on fb and there's tons of people talking about the Tobhino rda saying it's the best rda of 2018 (so far) Idk if this is just stupid and crazy or if I'm missing out and should try one? Fuck....

I watched a couple of reviews and looked at one in a local store and decided against it, not because it looked particularly bad but because it really doesn't seem to offer anything special and I'm not a fan of grub screws I much prefer an actual full size screw to wrap my coils on I've found it much more reliable and robust.

I did however grab a Luxotic without the RDA and the quality and function is fantastic, and it's pretty tiny too.

Wasn't keen on the bottles really but didn't fancy the hack , fortunately official silicone bottles are available tomorrow from FT.

Love it so much I just grabbed a second in black which comes with the silicone option as standard.

Has anyone tried the Daytona RDA? I've just seen the YFTK clone listed on 3f and am getting very tempted to order. Looks very interesting :)

maybe for the same reason one should not buy a Frankenclone squonker from FT.

Watched a sqonk RDA rewiew from Todd today.
Not bad except when he squonked it with the top off I saw juice running down the air inlet ramps, bound for the outside.
he indicated that one could learn to live with that....
At close to $100? No way in hell.
Back it up there, mister! What RDA was "da MAN' reviewing, please?

You will have to go to his youtube channel and check out his last vid.
It actually looks like something that might interest you.
16 mm chamber single coil....

If I do not steer Todd views he will not pay me shill money.

Don't know the Daytona, but I peeked.
Looks like a dual or single option. Looks like the center pin goes up through a big fat post base, so there's gonna be a juice puddle. I'm like @JuicyLucy - I want my squonk atties to wet the wick, then drain. Also looks like a pretty big fat air-hole, which could be good but could risk leakage...

As fate would have it, I received both the Wasp Nano and Nudge 22 at the same time.

I am testing them right now, both in squonk mode.

Wasp Nano is on the Pulse BF and Nudge 22 is on the VT Inbox v3...I plan to swap them soon.

They each seem to perform well, and as expected, and I'll reserve full details for later when I've had a little more time with them.

My only gripe so far is that the top cap on the Wasp is very loose, and almost falls off if you look at it. No leaks tho, which is good. I changed to the other o-rings in the pack and same issue. I may look into getting fatter o-rings just so the top cap sticks on a little tighter.

I will say that flavor is good on both, and about the same if you put a 15mm drip tip on the Wasp, but then it looks like it has an Abraham Lincoln top-hat. Without the drip tip it's too hot for me, no matter which of the 10 different builds I've tried so far, and by too hot, I mean that the heat overwhelms the flavor, but with a 15mm drip tip, the vapor has a chance to cool a bit before it hits your mouth, and then the vary is very nice.

Morten Oen has a nice build tutorial for the Wasp Nano here:

With the Nudge 22, I am using the 810-to-510 drip tip adapter, and then a black delrin drip tip, similar to what was on the original Goon v1, and this I prefer to the rounded nubbin-style 810 tip it comes with. With the 810 tip on the Nudge, it feels like I am puckering my lips too much. Maybe I am doing it wrong?

Anyway, I'll post an update in a few days...:)

Had one of those rba kits, big PITA.....
@BrewBear

I started my building on a Kanger RBA head a long time ago, so I got no issues with tiny build decks, of course I have to wear a headband magnifier now for anything close up, but that's what happens to most folks when presbyopia kicks in...

I only built a 3.5mm vertical coil in it, and I am good with that. :)

I can see that some folks might find it too fiddly, but for me, I find coil building to be very therapeutic and it helps me purge stress. For some reason I have lots of patience with myself when I build/install a coil.

I agree.

The signature required was a PITA, and like you I will be likely getting a tank to fit this, since I dont truck with pre-made disposable coils any more. I have to spend time on that Atlantis tanks thread, and will also check out Kidney Puncher too. :)

Kanger rba was big compared to the Nautilus rba (VVTF) and I put claptons in them. I really didn't care for the vape I was getting from the Triton rba and now it's too late for me to revisit it. Good luck with it!

Yeah... I have both versions of the VVTF... And a scanning electron microscope I strap on my face when building it...

What sort of build do you have on the Wasp? I have used simple round wires and dual core fused claptons down to .25 ohms and don’t have a heat issue. I tried 28g quad core twisted wire once, and that turned the juice into molten lava though...

So after doing some research on the B2K, I'm beginning to consider it more than before. I was concerned about the airflow not directly hitting the coils, but most people claim it's almost like a bottom airflow RDA. It looks like the current edition comes with a SS cap and the deck isn't gold plated, which is nice compared to the ones I had seen before.

Is it really all that great?
