So there I was teasing the OP about updating this thread and lo and behold, I forgot to update it too.
This probably isn't going to be a big surprise but I found the Holy Vanilla and the Holy Holy RY4 to be excellent. The latter I'm using in place of TFA RY4D in a couple of recipes and they were definitely enhanced. Holy Vanilla is a darker 'thicker' vanilla for a lack of a better term. It's strong and bold so it holds up well against other flavors that might otherwise walk right over lighter vanillas. This flavor is going to be quite useful in new recipes and also to add a different dimension to existing recipes.
I also got to try Metro Man thanks to a free sample that they were kind enough to include ( Thank You again DIYFS!! ) and it tasted exactly like they described it ... a glazed doughnut topped with breakfast cereal. I believe this is meant as a one shot and that's how I used it; very tasty! The recommend usage rate was 10% but my sweet spot was roughly 8% ... not too shabby for a full flavored vape that only requires a single flavor bottle. None of the dreaded play doh aftertaste from this flavor either so that's another definite plus. I also got to try 'The Strawberry' and I found it be a pretty realistic ripe strawberry. I used it @ 5% standalone and it had plenty of flavor for me. I've only done a SFT so far but I will definitely be trying this in some other recipes soon.
I still have a couple more flavors I need to try so I'll come back later and update this further but I think it's probably obvious already that I'm enjoying these flavors quite a bit.
Oh, I should mention a couple other things too. I was happy to see that they fill their bottles completely, unlike some other vendors that I won't mention here. It's a small thing sure but I hate getting bottles that have what appears to be 25% air space. I was also impressed with the added touches they included even on something that was really inexpensive. I purchased a small amount of menthol crystals and not only did they include directions for mixing them, they also included a small scoop for measuring! Not too many places would have bothered but clearly DIYFS was thinking of their customers when they did that. Kudos!
