I met a guy a few months ago and we got comparing vapes. He opened his up and pulled the battery. It had a tear at least 3 times bigger than the one above. I told him about rewrapping. He then grabbed a piece of scotch tape from his desk, put it over the tear and said, "That should do it." Rofl.

no battery is safe to use. Every tear in one makes it less safe to use. Keep wraps on hand. They cost pennies and take a minute or 2 to change

But to be honesty I have batteries that the wraps look worse

You don't really have to remove wrap. I guess it depends on how batteries go in the mod. I have batteries that are double wrapped

Some local shops will wrap for free, till you get some. I keep some on hand and make sure my wraps are pristine all the time. All it can take is one little bare spot.

When you buy the wraps, also pick up some new insulators.
Most have adhesive on them to hold them in place when heating the wraps.
Dirt cheap!

I have batteries double wrapped just went right over the old wraps. I don't think I need your permission.
I don't think that because you can pull the trigger on a revolver with a single bullet in it once or twice that it is a great idea, nor good advice to others. So piss off.

wrapping OVER a wrap might work perfectly well with a sled - sure, if that's you, go for it.

Shit like the SMOK Osub Baby can't even accept a 25R, and they'll sell you something like an HG2 to "solve the defect". yes, please wrap over a wrap. I need the laughs ;-)

Smok makes shit mods anyway. All my batteries are double wrapped as many people do the same thing too.

Think I still have an battery somewhere with a bit of electrical tape on it, I intended to re-wrap it but forgot .
Gonna have to find it and fix that while i'm thinking about it.
thanks for the reminder..

For a quick fix while waiting for the wraps to be delivered this is an almost permanent fix.

And rewrapping batteries takes about 2 minutes total even for a first timer. Just don't lose the insulator on the top if they are not glued to the battery. A hair dryer is more than enough heat.

I use clear wraps - it's what I bought <shrug> 2 or 3 cells like that - I inked the type and then wrapped.

I also just slapped some scotch-tape on a cell that had two small knicks. Why? Because they were SMALL - and I can wrap when I am totally "bored" - I am never BORED.
