Anyone know Funky 60w mod?

I'm thinking of buying a small single cell mod because there is an extra 18650 battery here just laying around (Plus I can let my brother use it). Then I came across this good looking mod. I was originally eyeing for a Pico 75w but the design of the Funky caught my eye. I already researched about it but with limited results. Anyone here knows this mod/brand? Links below can provide an image.

I actually purchased the ALeader Funky mod kit from Fasttech a few days ago, hasn't shipped out yet. I already have the Pico with the Melo tank and like the very small mods! I think the Melo tank will be much easier to find coils for it, will take Atlantis,Triton and Eleaf Melo.
Fasttech only had Funky Tank coils individually and I am not sure of any others that will work. I am hoping that this is a RBA coil

My friend was interested in the Funky himself, he ended up going for a mod called the Pluto instead with a 350J style clone board. The Funky seems to have a different style board and layout, and I haven't heard much about it. It does look nice I must admit.

For the price though, I really would recommend the Pico. I have one in the collection, and it is a firm favourite, I use it as a mod to take out when I want something small, and you can get them for very cheap from China, which is where I got mine and my partners.

It is around the same price as the Funky, and I would go for it unless you really love the looks of the funky. The Pico is very small, TC works well, and battery life is really good for a single 18650 device I think.

I hope the Funky is a good mod, when you receive it you will have to let us know what it is like, as it does look really nice!

I myself wondered about the coils, and if an RBA was available, as the coils don't look familiar to me so may be hard to find if you want to keep using the funky tank.

Yes, the Pico is really nice, I have one with the Melo tank makes for a very small stealthy vape, lol! I wanted a few different mods, so I ordered the Funky from Fasttech and the S-Body by Legend 75w DNA from GearBest. At least with the Legend, I could pick out a color(purple) still don't know what it will look like. But the Funky 60w I have no choice of colors, so I am hoping for a good one, I do not like the one pictured, so fingers crossed. FastTech does sell the coils, but individually, I saw for sale on another site and the coils said RBA on them, but still need a couple if I want to run that tank.
Other sites sell this Funky, but for a lot more money, and will let you know when I receive them!

You seem like my friend in regards to the style mods- he is an old Crusty (Not a nasty term lol, a style of dress and music) and loves tie dye and similar things, so those style mods really appeal to him.
The S-Body is a really nice looking mod, I only have the one DNA 75 which is a SDNA 75 and that performs great, so you should be very happy with it. My friends Pluto looks even better than the pictures online, so hopefully you get a really nice one.

Regarding the Funky, I would try and message Fasttech to see if they would be kind enough to choose a colour for you. On Gearbest it stated it was a random colour for the Pluto, but they chose a colour for my friend, but we do speak to staff there and get items to review but it is still worth a try?

If you can get RBA coils then that is even better, I prefer RTA's or tanks that use RBA's myself.

Do let us know how it is when it arrives, I hope it is good :).

I'm only thinking about getting the mod. But the funky here costs a lot more tham the Pico. Plus pico has more power than funky. The only thing that is stopping me to buy the pico is the design of the Funky. Let us know how the Funky feels.

Yes, I will take pictures and let you know what I think. I will put the 2 side by side. I still think that the coils for the Funky will be hard to find, but maybe if others start selling this mod and tank, that the coils will be easier to get.
Fasttech has not shipped out my order yet, waiting on some other coils that said were in stock, but are not. Those are holding up my order, supposed to ship out on the 10/25, everything else is ready to go. If I knew those coils were not in stock, I would have shipped them on a different order. Plus they had a Typhoon in China over the weekend, I am sure that slowed things down too!
Oh well, hope I get this soon and will come back and post!

Yea- FastTech finally shipped this out today- yippee- there were some coils I wanted that were in stock when added to this order, but then the dreaded restocking showed up, delaying my Funky60w from going out. So I cancelled the coils and reordered separately along with some Funky Tank coils and put those on a different ticket. Bam- now the Funky mod/Tank is on it's way to my house- fingers crossed that the color combo is a good one since I could not choose the color! I will let you know what I think when I get it!

Wow my Funky Box 60w finally came from FastTech- loving the colors of this. I have not tried it out yet, hope it vapes as good as it looks. It is about the same size as the Pico. I believe the coil is rebuildable, but bought 10 more just to make sure. I could only find the coils thru FastTech too at about $2.50 a piece- no 5 pack. I haven't had a chance to look at the coils yet either!

Now I am waiting for my SBody Legend from GearBest. I ordered this Oct 21 and am still waiting for it. Finally arrived in NY Hub but will probably take another week to come up to Western NY where I live, since it is a 4hour drive. That is about how long the others have sat and then took their sweet time getting here to me- LOL! I do not know the color pattern on that either, but at least I could pick the main color, Purple.
http://www.gearbest.com/temperature-control-mods/pp_436617.html

Looks like Fasttech beats GearBest in shipping time for me.I paid for shipping on the GearBest order too.

Ahh that sucks especially as you payed for the shipping! At least you know it is in the USA now though, and not too long till it arrives.

I have found gearbest to be a bit quicker with delivery times, but I am in the UK and they offer a 'British Express' service, which is rather fast.

I do like using FT as well though, you can get things for a great price on there, especially clone items. I am glad you could pick the main colour of the mod too, and hope it looks as nice as your funky :).

Hi Conan- I am in the US and with Fasttech I could pick USPS to ship, but with GearBest I had to pick Netherlands Post, so it seems it sat for 5 days at GearBest(they had a typhoon) then sat for another 3 days in the Netherlands and was just handed over to USPS in the States where again it now sits for days. Where it was just USPS that dealt with my parcel at Fasttech and I placed my Fasttech order a week later and have received all of it already. I should have waited for Fasttech to have this mod in stock instead of ordering from GearBest, I would probably have it by now. Oh well these are my 1st experiences dealing with China orders, here in the US there are many online shops with better and faster service. No US shop had either of these mods so I had no other choice. But unless GearBest gets USPS shipping, I will stick with Fasttech, especially with the upcoming Black Friday deals..

Hey guys quick noob question. How do you turn it off? the funky 60W mod?

The Funky box turns itself off after a few seconds- but in order to lock it you must click 3 times to lock- will not fire and then 3 clicks to unlock and will fire. This does not turn off and on with 5 clicks like most. I do not take this on the go with me- I use my Nebox for that, which uses the 5 clicks on and off!
My 2 S-Body 75w work like this too. I don't take these out of the house, the 3 click lock will keep it from firing.
There is nothing in the instructions- as soon as you hit the fire button it is on, and nothing about turning off except for the 3 click lock screen.
I love mine- so very tiny and works great. Love the colors of mine too- I got lucky with the random color lottery!
Hope that helps!

Does the funcky support 25mm tanks?
My Freemax Starre Pure Tank is 25mm and it does fit on the Funky Box. My Funky Box came with a really nice matching tank from Fasttech.
The Funky Box is a tiny bit larger than the Pico.

I'll have to check those out right now.

Thanks!

Edit: those are awesome-looking mods but, alas, out of my price range. :p
Back on Labor Day- GearBest had these for $83.99 free ship. Of course I missed that sale but I still got 1 for $93.00 which was still a good price from GearBest, the other one I won on a Gearbest contest.
These take both the 18650 battery or the 26650 battery, I wish I could have picked out the color combos, I like the ones I got, but they are random and I really wanted more colors in each mod, for how much they cost, it would be nice to choose your own! Otherwise these work great and I am very happy with them. I have used them with the Evolv Escribe program for the upgrades, but I haven't made a custom logo yet.

BTW - congrats on 2 years away from the analogs!
Thank you! After 30+ years of cigarettes, on a lark I picked up the Mistic Bridge Starter kit , Haus Cool Ice liquid, menthol cartridges instead of pack of cigarettes - the rest is history! Bought those in Nov 2014 and set my quit date Dec1, 2014, and while I had some tough moments I stayed strong and the Mistic was what I used for many months and they worked for me.
In the last year mods and tanks have gotten better and less expensive, so I have been on a buying spree, plus winning some contests here in VU I have quite the collection, plus all the great sales that people have shared.
One of my favorite devices is the Kanger NeBox- the SSOCC or the OCC plus the RBA coils are cheap and I have NO leaking! That thing goes everywhere with me, holds 10mls of juice and I carry a spare 18650(in a case) all day vaping, and I only paid $20.00 for it! I loved that so much that I bought 2 more, LOL! https://vaping.com/complete-kits/nebox
The Sigelei mini Book Kits are nice too- everything included and the XTank takes the Aspire Atlantis coils that are cheap and easy to find!
I bought 2 of these kits! I keep one stored away for a rainy day! http://121vapes.com/shop/sigelei-mini-book-40w-tc-full-kit/
BTW welcome to Vaping Underground!

I just ordered it, anyone knows about any rebuildables this would look nice with and sufficient with power? I was thinking about the Wasp rda or the Flave rdta, or perhaps the Theorem but I realy dont like that tinny drip tip that they provide, what do you think?

I have the Funky 60 but mine came with the Funky tank so I have used that tank and the Melo tank with the Funky 60 w box. I don't own the tanks you have listed( I just ordered the Wasp Nano for the VT Inbox BF) but I just put my Vandy Vape Pyro RDTA on it with a .45Ω coil and I set it to 30w and it is working fine- the Pyro RDTA is a 24mm tank and it fits with no overhang and the cap isn't in the way like the Pico.

Mine also comes with a tank but since the coils cant be found anywhere I decided to buy a rebuildable to go with it cause that is kinda my thing

I don't have the Wasp Nano yet- I ordered it from FT just last week- I snapped a picture of the Funky Box with the Silver Pyro- I think it looks really good on the Funky Box!
I believe the Wasp Nano would be fine too- if you like to constantly drip. Pretty small RDA- I am going to use mine with a HCigar VT Inbox(squonk)

That actually looks great, its like it was mafe for it, what would you suggest to build for a single hg2? Something around 30w would be great so I dont run through the battery too quickly. I was thinking something like 26g ni80 8 wraps...maybe dual coil, what do you think?

I don't build my own coils- I have many kits of the Demon Killer coils and use those I am using a single 0.45Ω Fused Clapton coil in Kanthal- you might wanna go to the coil builders thread- they could help you with the coils that would work best for you. I like Ni80 coils too and have the Demon Killer colis kit in those too. They are assortment packs of different coils- I usually throw a pack on a FT order- that saves me time and effort. They last and I just dry burn them clean and rewick. I haven't used a dual coil on the Pyro- I have only used it as a single coil deck.
Just a heads up- the only con I found with the Pyro was the included drip tips. They have a 510 adapter so you can use your 510 tips- I bought my drip Tips from Max Vaping and they are awesome- the ones I bought are 810 tips which work with this tank too without the adapter.
https://maxvaping.com/collections/d...tz-triad-starry-sky-tip?variant=5415152123936
https://maxvaping.com/collections/d...tip-for-smok-tfv8-tfv12?variant=4791383588896
I bought 1 of each of the above links in blue- came quickly and I like the Triad style tips- they are hard to find.
The drip tip in the picture is the snakeskin in blue.

I also use premade coils but mostly for high power vaping, since I wanted something that wont fog my entire room after 3 puffs I ordered this device and heared great things about simple ni80 coils. Thank you very much, I will ask in the coil building section. I will update you when I get my own funky mod....

I ordered the Flave rdta seems like would look nice on there too and I own the silver clone of petri rta, that should work pretty nice as well
I was going to order the Kindbright Flave from FT with my Inbox but that wasn't in stock and I didn't want it to hold up my order, so I went with the Wasp Nano that was in stock- the Flave will be on my next order.

Soooo, my funky 60w is finaly here. To be honest, I am realy split on mind about this one :D when I got it the fire button was getting stuck inside with every press, so I took the whole thing apart and filé down a little from the resin around the button and it kinda worked. The other thing was getting it back together was complicated because one of the screws that hold the whole thing together had too big of a head and was imposssible to screw in, so I had to file down also the screw head so it would fit. That worked out so now I have a normal functional device.....from the most part, the 510 is too short and most of my tanks have a gap between the tank and the device, and if I tighten it more, the fire button issue comes back. I will find a way to fix the gap as well later, for now, it realy looks amazing and I love it, what got me the most is that the resin top piece from the original tank kinda fits on my petri rta clone and it doesnt look bad :D I also somehow managed to fire the tank without liquid because I am stupid and burned the cotton in the only coil head that it comes with...too bad :D I will give some more information as well as pictures later today

Yikes- mine has always functioned perfectly, never had those problems at all.
At least you are handy and can fix all this- I would have sent it back.
It is great that you love the colors of yours, never know what that will be with random choice.
I am trying to sell mine here now in VU, with the unused tank and 8 coils( actually 9 as one is in the tank)
I never use it anymore- so I would rather try to sell.
I am more into dual battery mods lately and my Asmodus Minikin V2 get the most use.
Love to see pictures when you get a chance and Congrats, I know you waited a long time for the Funky 60w

Okay, here is a picture of mine:
https://imgur.com/a/KNshn8Q
with the pti rta and the drip tip from the tank that came with it, feels very nice on mouth :D . I fixed the gap issue with those insulator spacers/washers/tabs things that some manufactures pack in so you won't scratch the surface of your shiny mod, you can get them from china as well I think. I realy like the look of this, the screen is nice and bright and I have a feeling that it hits harder than my pico used to....the only thing that I don't fancy is that you can't power it off and no stealth mode....it almost feels like an old version of a DNA chip :D
