Edited thread tilte from "Smok's getting into mesh coils now." For a while Freemax had the only tank offering mesh coil heads.

I saw this in another section. I dont want a misleading thread title. Its not strickly a mesh coil tank but they are an option. Along with coils that emit rays of colorfull lights lol wth.

TFV12 baby-Prince-

The V8 Baby T12 red light coil is one of them, it has light inside, you can see beautiful light emit from it when you are vaping. They are newly designed several light coils, all of which are powerful and shining. Except the red light coil, there also are green light coil, orange light coil available. Mesh coil is a revolutionary new coil, an advanced one in this industry. It has mesh inside, which can effectively enlarge the heating area. When you use this coil you would be surprised by its fast heating process and huge vapor production.

Every detail of TFV12 Baby Princetank is the best guarantee for high-quality vaping. Give you amazing vaping experience. 10 color for choose.

SMOK TFV12 Baby Prince Tank comes with

1x TFV12 Baby Prince Tank
1x V8 Baby-Q4 (0.4Ω Quadruple Coils)(Pre-installed)
1x V8 Baby-T12 Red light (0.15Ω Duodecuple Coils)
1x V8 Baby Mesh coil 0.15Ω
1x Replacement Glass Tube
1X User Manual
1X Spare Parts.

I think they should keep the red light coil and include a damn RBA head. I hate it when they dont include one. I'll probably end up getting one of these at some point. I have a Fireluke Mesh tank on the way that I won and can't wait to try it.

Smok website says the Baby Prince coils are compatible with the tfv8 baby tanks. Could be interesting. So many baby tanks out there, could be so much better with the right coils.

You're right. They just shined it up, put on a bubble glass, and made some new/(better?) coils. The EU version just looks like a big baby. Then a month later for 5 bucks more the light edition will come. I'll skip this and just get a pack of mesh coils to try.

Smok couldn't wait on the lights. One of the new coils does light up, and of course there will be a choice of light colors. I do hope some of the coils help out the long in the tooth tfv8 baby tanks.

Everything recently released has gotten some mixed reviews, including Crown 3, Arco 2 .... The new Fireluke Pro (no bubble glass, better top cap with non-proprietary drip tip) almost sold out before any reviews appeared. There is a Herakles 3 coming, but it looks almost identical to the Blazer Mini.

My most constent tanks are tfv4, baby beast with T8, and some older Uwell and Sense. Tfv4 flavor isn't any worse than the Valyrian, which shines for a couple of days after coil break-in. Doesn't burn out fast but gets pretty muted and flat tasting.

Barring any tank suggestions, I'm going to focus more on grabbing 2 or 3 new mods that fit my hand better.

I like lights, even more if its a bling edition, but in that case its still smok. They could make a version that cleans your house, cooks coffee and even goes to work for you, everytime you vape with that coil, I wouldn't be interested. In fact you would have to pay me before I go back and get a smok product. By now they just copy what others have done, sadly without any actual focus on re designing their horrible products. Guess as long as it shines that's more important then quality.

I've used every smok tank and the prince is my favourite. The flavour beats all the previous tanks imo.
I still use my tfv4 though as I actually prefer it to the baby beast!
My mate has problems with his coming open in his pocket.
Mines always been fine but the lock mechanism on the prince is a good idea.

Hopefully the new coils will last. I can nurse the baby tfv8 along if I rotate it with other tanks and avoid the q2 coil.

Using Arco 2 coils in tfv8 cloud.

Also, local vape shop had Alien mods on clearance, so I took a chance. Went through 2 bad ones before I left with one that was ok. The first 2 had battery door issues, and one was also hitting very weak. 80w felt like 50.

Hopefully Smok brings the original quality back. They must be seeing the concerns.

I am enjoying the Arco 2 coil in the tfv8. Neither flavor or clouds are massive but it is a nice balanced relaxing vape. I have only tried 1 coil but it has been lasting. I prefer it to the Smok and Uwell Valyrian coils, though I think it uses even more juice.

I noticed Horizon Tech has a Falcon tank coming. The 4 coil options include mesh, flax, and wood pulp, in varying combinations. Not sure if compatible with the Arco and tfv8, but coils and tank look smaller.

Cool. I'm happy with the prince at the moment. I need to stop spending so much on vape stuff haha

I'm eager to try the mesh coils in my BB. I'd like to purchase the Prince since the prices has dropped. And now they have the Resa Prince that holds 7ml. Same coils as Prince. I love the low profile.

Yes, the Resa does take the same coils. If you look at the Prince to the Resa Prince you'll see that there is no chimney and wide bubble glass to extend the ejuice capacity. Quite a difference. Great reviews.

Correction: Upon looking at the differences again with bright morning eyes, the glass is shorter, the bottom airflow ring is shorter, no chimney, the top is 1/3 smaller and the drip tip has been shortened. 5mm difference in height, Resa is 30mm - 7.5ml/Prince is 28mm - 8ml., same coil. Too bad about the shortened drip tip. I know I wouldn't be able to use it without slip-streaming. The glass on this is sure to shatter when dropped; even with a tank ring.
Unfortunately, no mesh announced for these tanks.

That's why if I get a tank I pick up a few spare glasses :)

You're right about the Prince. I've had it about a week and its a nice tank. I'm getting some real good flavor with it. Ive been using the Q4 but will get others to try.

I think the Q4 is best for flavour. X6 is a good mixture of clouds and flavour but with the T10 the flavour slightly drops

Well, I can't argue with you since you have one, Skold. Thanks for the info. Helps me a lot!
Two sites I went to claimed 28mm but that's apparently the glass they're measuring. (China of course)

There's a mesh and strip coil coming for the TFV12 Prince. I haven't seen much but I'm looking forward to trying them. I usually use the RBA deck in my Prince.

Looking forward to your impression of them!
First impression is that its similar to the Fireluke Mesh coils but not the exactly same. Thinner wire maybe? Here's the Prince Mesh-

Vs the Fireluke Mesh coil-

The Fireluke screen looks to be more tightly woven with bigger wire maybe? I dunno, but been lovin using them. We'll see how these Smok ones do.

"Cellular Mesh"
Cellular Structure is not only one of the most stable structures but also a beautiful masterpiece.
TFV12 Prince Cobra tank uses this cellular, with it inside, the coil can be completely enveloped and when you pour e-liquid in you can see "the shape of e-liquid"!

I finally decided to instal one of these Prince mesh coils this morning. It seems to be working great. I haven't gone through too much juice yet but the flavor is coming through nicely. It tasted like cotton working my way up. I got it up to 55W now and it tastes really good.

It has less of the sizzle sound that the Fireluke Mesh tank makes. And the Prince is WAY more airier than the FLM. I like it about 1/3 open.

Wow, that's saying a lot. The FLM is verry airy compared to pretty much every single hole wire coil head out there.
I wasn't a fan of the FL Mesh because of that airiness, but I'm hoping they release some higher resistance coilheads. WITH A SMALLER CORE! :gaah:

The real killer on Smok tanks for me is the lack of stainless steel coils.
Once I tried stainless, I could never go back to Kanthal...

I really prefer ss too. But I got a tank recently for 3 bucks that is probably the best flavor tank I've ever tried. It uses kanthal coils, or claims to. It's an older one I think. The glass was stuck to the orings from sitting so long lol. I don't know when it came out or if it ever got any traction around here. The thing is freakin awesome for flavor. Coilart Toruk-
https://ecig-city.com/products/toruk-sub-ohm-tank-by-coil-art-24mm-tank
It doesn't come with any extra orings just a spare coil. I had to find a spare oring in an old griffin parts bag cuz I ripped one. It's the best puchase I've made in vaping, value-wise.

Well it really blows that there are no mesh coils for the SMOK - TFV8 X-Baby - Baby Beast Brother!

I've heard that a few online vape stores will not be stocking anymore coils for the SMOK - TFV8 X-Baby - Baby Beast Brother after they sell all the coils that they have in stock!

Thanks SMOK! More money wasted on a tank that I can't get coils for!!

Much appreciated!! Looks like it will be going in the trash in a few months!!

What a rip!!!

I have the new GeekVape Cerebus and it comes with their Super Mesh Coils and those coils are compatible with the TFV8 coils. The flavor from these Super Mesh coils has been very good. I've only had it for about a week, so can't speak about their longevity, but so far, I'm really liking these coils. It could be another alternative.

I just got a Cerebus today and so far I'm liking it. The coil seems to have broke in pretty quick with a bit of cotton taste going away in less than a tank of juice. I'd agree they could be worth a try in another tank that's compatible.

I haven't heard that. But it looks like you can still get them all over the place. I wouldn't worry too much. I can still find TFV4 coils.

The Smok Species kit is on preorder some places. It has a new tank, the TFV8 Baby V2 tank.

The airflow slots look massive-

One of the newer coils-

Not sure if they are still Baby Beast compatible. They appear taller but I dunno.

Specs-

TFV8 Baby V2 Tank:
  • Capacity: 5ml(Standard Version)/ 2ml (EU Version)
  • Material: Stainless Steel
  • Size: 54mm* 30mm(Standard Version)/ 54mm*25.4mm(EU Version)
