I know it's been out for awhile but options are limited here in Canada. I own a SMM Serpent and love it. Do you think I would like the Zeus coming from the serpent? I like single coil. Ease of use. Hard to leak, etc Simple and effective is all I'm looking for. I'm not a flavor snob nor do I need huge clouds. Just a decent combination of both. I guess my question is do you still like yours? Was it a disappointment? Do you love it? Need real world opinions not youtube reviews. Although based on YT reviews I'm pretty sure it's a good buy. What do you think?

CEB38DA3-DB80-4AF7-95D4-B4173FFF5CF4.jpeg I still enjoying mine, but it’s definitely a lot airier than the SMM Serpent, so I use it half way closed. It’s great for out & about cos it won’t leak. The flavor is on par with the Serpent imho but make sure you mount the top of the coil below the notches on the airflow wall. As pictured above (from Geekvape site).

I'm also Canadian! I have the zeus, engine nano and crius 2 single coil. Like you, I have been an SMM user for some time. For flavor and clouds, I find the Crius 2 is the best out of the 3 with the nano a close second for flavor. I'm still getting used to the Zeus and think I've found a build and wick that works well but it's not as good as the Crius 2 IMO.I order everything from Fasttech.

I personally find it to be “ok” Matty depends what you are after really

Airflow and draw is fantastic (silky smooth)

I’d describe it right where you want it ...happy balance of cloud and flavour, doesn’t really excel in one or the other really, gets the job done though

It can be a pain in the ass to wick, building is ok just need to wrap coils in particular way and bend the legs before mounting

I like the matte finish on the black tank I bought a lot and general quality wasn’t too bad at all

Well I put the Zeus in the cart. Won't be able to check out till the end of the month tho. I think I'll like it. I'm grabbing the black one :) Grabbing a cpl medium alien coils too (6 wraps 3 mm). That will be a first for me. I'll watch a cpl tutorials on wicking before hand..and report back in a few weeks. Thanks for your input :)

I have a Themis which is similar and think its awesome. You can do single or dual coil and they make a seperate mesh version. Wicking it is a sinch, and no leaking or dry hits.

Yeah I really enjoy the Themis as well great top airflow atty ...the new Zeus dual coil is so close to the Themis that they might as well be clones of each other. The Zeus has different side airflow ports, and that’s about all from what I can see.

So i got my Zeus today..It's pretty good. Bit of a pain but I built and wicked it right first time..Smoothest vape I ever had. Only complaint is the flavor is a little weak.Using a medium alien ohming out at 0.42 I dunno I haven't even vaped half a tank but I think I'm underwhelmed lol

Try & place your coil height like pictured. I’ll help with the flavor, also I suggest not having your wick touch the bottom of the deck, just dangling pass the notches.

It can be a tad higher top of coil in line with the notches on the walls on the third pic.

The Zeus is just like any other rta in that it takes some time to figure out and building it is subjective. I place my coil high so the top of the coil sits just above ( about 1mm) the ledges on the airflow slots where they go into the chimney. Also tried vaping with Vic's method of wicking by having excess cotton on the deck for more juice capacity. For me, the wicking is much better this way. Before that my wicking wasn't keeping up with the fast ramp up of my .8 twisted Clapton coil.

Just keep playing with it Matty and you'll find what works best for you.

I have to say, I have been doing rebuilds for a year, and have tried about ten or twelve different atomizers. No matter what I did, many often leaked.
I picked up the Zeus single coil from a local dealer who recommended it, and after I took a few hits from the salesman's Zeus. I am using a thinish coil that I rolled myself, from a clapton roll, 2.5mm, and it was a good choice.

I am totally hooked on this one. It's like the French built it, meaning, for the French, it's all about taste. It is smooth, really smooth. The flavor just pops right out. Probably is not a cloud demon but frankly in most social situations I don't want tons of clouds, don't need it, just want decent vapor and most important taste, and this one for me wins hands down.

I can't speak for everyone but for me I tried duals, dual claptons, and it's just too much. I think a single coil is for me the way to go, you get the flavor and sufficient clouds without being overwhelmed.

On top of this, first time wicking, NO LEAKS!!! I mean zero. By far my RTA of choice.

cotton barley touching your coil is the trick with the Zeus for flavor

I got my Zeus RTA last week and I'm pleased to say that it truly is leakproof. To me, that's most important since I'm up and about all the time.

Flavor is definitely up there with my other RTA's and GTA's. Airflow is the smoothest I have in my collection (which is a lot, 3yrs worth of vape gear collection). It's really great that they are still releasing single-coil tanks, I was never a fan of multi-coil RTA's. They're just too fussy. And way less efficient.

Top fill is the best, no mess at all unlike my other tanks which tend to seep juice at the seams after a couple of fills.

Another thing I really like about it is that it has less tendency to "backfire" vapor through the air flow after a toot due to the way the afc is designed.

All in all, this is my go-to tank and has replaced even my GTA's. All my other gear are now mere paperweights.

I haven't posted in this forum for awhile now ( more than a year, if I'm correct) but I thought this tank deserved a commendation.

Geekvape truly did an incredible job with this.

Well my SMM serpent broke So I've been using the Zeus more and I do like it. I just need better coils. Nichrome tastes like shit. SS 316 clapton wire is in the mail..It is the best airflow I agree. Flavor is good to go. Far from a waste of money. Seems to be built very well and looks nice. Yup solid piece of kit!

I had a similar experience with mine. Hated the fucker at first but after talking with another board member in messaging and trying some different things, I love the damn thing now. Just needed to take the time find out what worked best for me in wicking, coil size and placement. I like it so much I'm going to get a few more.

The SS wire should definitely help the flavor. Glad you ended up liking it Matty. It sucks when someone spends their hard earned money on something and end up not liking it.

Looks great on my oldie-but-goodie 1st gen Aegis too didn't like the drip tip that came with it but no biggie, I just used my Serpent's drip tip on it. Wished it came with a spare top cap gasket though.

I've been using the Zeus daily since December. I wasn't thrilled with it at first, but It's gotten better over time. With the light bakery flavors I was using in it at first, the flavor was a bit weak. I switched to using menthol and fruit flavors and it's been a dream. Very smooth.
