Found kind of a cool tank last night, ordered it and some extra coils from SweetVapes. It's called an Arymi Gille tank, has a rewickable 0.5ohm coil that looks like an open spring, and you just cut a length of cotton, twist one end of it, pull it through, and clip the ends. Looks easy peasy and cheap to buy and maintain. I'm curious to try it out, probably on my Kanger Kbox Mini Platinum, which is currently kept on my desk at work, but I'll swap that out with something else so I can have the Kbox at home for a while.

Not striking in appearance, but thought y'all might want to know about that interesting coil, if you don't already. Mid-range at up to 40W.

I had a hard time finding them when the mod first came out and spaced it, as my only concern is repairing this one. Thanks!

@gadget! and @Countrypami Thank you! I may order both. Chuck is on projects that may need good glue. My panel is lifting at one corner and all the way down one side. You can't tell by looking, but certainly while holding the mod.

@SnapDragon NY "I like fat tips and I cannot lie" - LOL
I actually do. I have a Clieto tip that's so fat on the bottom it nearly covers the top of the tank. Then narrows a tad in the center and flutes a bit at the top as not to restrict airflow. Is that a wide bore 510 or 810/Goon? How thick is it?

LOL- I think you wanted to reply to @nadalama about Fat Tips!
I do actually like fat drip tips and use 810 drip tips wide bore on many of my tanks- Fasttech has some great ones.
https://www.fasttech.com/product/9619435 - I love this one and they have other colors!

I am waiting for these to arrive, should be here today!
https://www.fasttech.com/product/9631945

These from Max Vaping are nice too -
https://maxvaping.com/collections/drip-tips/products/blitz-triad-starry-sky-tip
https://maxvaping.com/collections/drip-tips/products/blitz-triad-snake-skin-tip-for-smok-tfv8-tfv12

All of these tips cover most of the top of the tank and are all wide bore for DL.

On a personal note, just got back from the doctor. Doc says I'm depressed. Upped my anti-depressant, and will re-evaluate in six weeks to see if I need to add trazadone. Sigh.

Want to tell you all that I really enjoy this thread. Everyone who posts in here is so nice. Thanks for making me feel welcome.

Sorry that you are depressed- never really dealt with that myself and hope that upping your meds does the trick.
I am glad that you post here , as you are so nice too! Hope that you feel better soon.

I think everyone goes through depression at least once in their life. Mine followed a hysterectomy w/ a 14 day hospital stay. Then I developed Hypothyroidism which only magnified my symptoms. I'm doing much better now, but was on meds for a couple years. Something will change in your life that will turn it around, keep the faith!

I hesitate to suggest this, to folks that are all completely done with cigarettes... but I use a little WTA in my vape sometimes, if I'm really stressed or depressed. It's not as powerful as prescribed meds, but it really can help... and costs a lot less than prescribed meds, with FAR fewer side effects. If you don't use it all the time, it won't be habit-forming. I stopped regular use of it back in March 2016, but I still add a drop or two to my atty when life is messing with me.

@nadalama I'm going through the same thing. Have been since 1989. Had a hysterectomy AND was diagnosed with depression at the same time. I was mess. I've been on a roller coaster of meds since. I call it falling down the rabbit hole. Trying to get out is amazingly difficult.

Three words. Random. Well ok, one word, that's enough, you know what I mean. Need my paycheck. If it weren't for that, damn skippy, I'd be there.

Thanks all of you for your kind responses. Not that I'd ever wish this on anyone, but it is nice to know that other people get it.

Best friend called me this morning from the side of the road where she'd had to pull her car off before she went batshit crazy driving down the road. Family problems, work problems, relationship problems, a house to maintain, a daughter finishing up medical school, animals to care for, big big big bills to pay, it's just too damn much sometimes. I talked her through deep breaths, a Xanax, a cup of coffee, and wrapping everything she doesn't have to deal with RIGHT NOW in a big box and tossing it aside for later. Sometimes we just aren't equipped to handle all this "progress" we've made.

Thanks ladies and gents.

@Countrypami I am hypothyroid as well. Runs in my family. I feel for you.

Hmm.. not sure what "random" and "need my paycheck" have to do with WTA, but ok. You don't have to use it regularly to get the benefit of it, if you're already well past cigarette cravings; a drop or two, anytime you feel the need, usually helps iron out any bumps in one's psyche or feelings. It merely enhances nicotine's already-remarkable ability to organize the neurotransmitters, which usually results in greater calm, greater sense of well-being.

Um, I thought you were talking about something else, since it was obscured in your post. Something that's legal in some places but not in others, the ultimate stress reliever imo.

Pardon me while I hide my head in a barrel. :teehee:

Not your fault -- and I reported the post that was edited, to report the moderator for gratuitously moderating something that doesn't need moderating!

I want that post edited back, please, since I WAS NOT BREAKING ANY RULES TO SUGGEST WTA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Andria

ETA: and I agree about the "ultimate stress reliever" but I do try to not break the rules, and I quite understand about the job, in regard to that. My husband's the same.

Wow. I agree with you, Andria. Why the hell did they remove it. Let's see...I have 7 bottles of River Bottom Fog Sauce NET (straight tobacco extract). Since the process is so long and produced in it's most clean form, why would that be any different than WTA? I know there is a piece of hardware on the market that Joe & crew can't mention. What's going on here?

Andria, check the mod's activity. You should be able to tell who censored you.

How do I tell? All it says is "edited by moderator".

Andria

ETA: WTA and NET aren't exactly the same -- NETs may contain a TINY bit of WTA, but probably not enough to make any sort of difference in one's mood, and possibly not with cravings, though I have heard of some using NETs to help with the cravings, so it might be helpful at least in that regard. WTA is refined in such a way as to reap the entire alkaloid cocktail from tobacco, whereas NETs are refined with an eye merely to taste. WTA doesn't taste much different from plain nicotine, though if not well-refined, it can have that "wet ashtray" sort of smell.

Well, as i said, I reported the post that was gratuitously moderated, so the admin can deal with it. I'm well aware of the rules, and they don't say a damn word about WTA, and last I checked, WTA is still legal. Though if BP and FDA get their way, maybe not for much longer!

It's very subtle... just the diff between running around like a chicken with its head cut off, and then suddenly realizing that wait, none of this shit is THAT important, and even if it is, it's not big enough to bother a champ like ME.... or something like that. At xmas I was absolutely manic about getting everything ready, gifts, food, family coming over, yadda yadda yadda... my son told me to take a deep breath and add a couple drops of WTA to my vape and go sit down for a half hour. so I did... and it made a HUGE diff in how I coped with everything. And when my mom died in 2016... vaping some WTA for a few days helped immensely. I was still sad, of course, but not overwhelmingly hammered by grief and regrets.

The holidays will do it. I got so upset with my son at Christmastime a few years ago, had to get my husband to bring me a damn paper bag. I was hyperventilating. First time that ever happened to me, but I'd still rather have that than a full-blown panic attack.

Holidays are peak season for therapists and psychiatrists. People who are struggling already don't do well with their routines being upended.

That's the truth! I'm working on creating a new tradtion for xmas, for however much longer I may have to enjoy the company of my aunt Betty and my stepfather, since the loss of my mom, who might as well have been Mrs Santa, with the big whoop my mom always made of xmas. So my stepdad and my aunt came here for xmas day, for presents and a nice buffet-style supper, roast turkey breast and deli ham for sandwiches, homemade potato salad, and of course the (virgin) eggnog and pie. :) It was nice... once I sat down and enjoyed it! The cleanup wasn't half the PITA of the build up!

Neither of them are doing very well, but considering they're 79 (stepdad) and 85 (aunt), I want as many good memories of them as i can manage.

Wow. Actually sounds like CBD. Had a 120ml bottle that I didn't know what to do with and gave it to @gadget! I believe. I wonder if I can get my hands on some. Lord only know I can use it!

Not at all, nothing like that. It's those "minor" alkaloids in tobacco that can make the difference between cravings that make you want to cry for a damn cigarette, and vaping happily smoke-free. I haven't had the cigarette cravings since I first started using it, but sometimes I do get stressed, depressed (I tend to fluctuate between those, with not muchj "happy middle" in between!), and those "minor" alkaloids are probably why none of that stress or depression has provoked new cigarette cravings -- why smoke and let those damn things get their hooks back in, when I can get the same stuff, minus the poison, from WTA. :)

I didn't know about that. And Pami, I redacted my previous post just in case.

Well the main reason I was hesitant about suggesting it is because, slightly like cigarettes, it's slightly to moderately habit-forming, especially if you use it regularly. However I consider the occasional use of it to be a far better solution than a cigarette, because once those things get in the door, it's damn near impossible to get them back out again -- it's not the same with liquid WTA that you can either add, or not, to your ejuice. And vaping WTA doesn't make you smell like a dirty ashtray, either. ;)

Andria

ETA: After further thought, I think I need to revise that to "moderately to extremely habit-forming"... because nicotine is mildly to moderately habit-forming... but WTA is much moreso. When I was weaning down off the WTA, every slightest reduction made me out of sorts for a week or so before I got used to it; yet I've been on plain nicotine for just over 2 yrs now, and going 2 wks without any nicotine when I had the flu didn't cause me the slightest problem nor craving.

I just ordered two 30ml bottles of WTA liquid from Om Vapors. It's on sale today for $3.99 for 30ml. Regular ejuice is $1.99 or $2.49 for 30ml, so ordered a few of those for my son.

Will use sparingly, hoping perhaps it can help me get caught up on my sleep. Thanks @AndriaD !

Hope it helps! Just keep in mind that like anything vaped -- nicotine, f'rinstance -- it takes a little longer to hit your brain than smoking would; maybe 15-30 mins, and maybe an hour or two of vaping it to really have much effect. My Achilles holds about 2.5ml, so if I add 2 drops, I'm vaping that for roughly half a day-ish. If it's a real nightmare of a day, I might add another drop when I refill, but usually don't.

I won the XTAR PB2 and it arrived at my house yesterday- I have no time to play with it yet, but looks awesome as it will charge 2 - 18650's and my Cell phone, great for all the running around I do and the many power outages I have. It is also a Power Bank as well as a charger.

I have the Vapor Storm Puma in Graffiti #2 Very small and lightweight for a dual battery mod- I got mine around X-Mas and it gets used daily-
The only complaint I have with it is the battery life- not as great as the Minikin V2, but again I only paid $24.00 for the Puma, so OK!
I love the Forever Love print and have it in my cart at FT- but I think I will be getting the new ELeaf Pico Squeeze 2 and another Flave BF RDTA waiting to see if FT has a 15% off on the 4th like last year!
I also want a pink Asmodus Lustro- so many mods I want- so little money I have to spend!20180112_143155.jpg

That Vapor Storm is a little too comic book for me.

Exactly why I liked it- LOL!
Paired with the Ample Pixy RDTA- I wanted cute without being pink! I know many think that this set-up gets criticism as the "children" will want this- but I was so sick of blood, monsters, dead things and skeletons and manly looking gear.
I think like me back in the day- I wanted to look grown-up smoking and really don't think kids would be interested in this set-up for vaping, besides how many kids are going to want to use a dual coil RDTA ?

I think I'm finally to the point that I really don't want any more mods for a while. There's clutter all around me and I'm seriously thinking about putting about half of these things away.

Also have backed off the sub-ohm tanks. I got the Gille today, and I like it, but I'm disappointed in the Herakles Honors and even the Geekvape Illusion Minis - the flavor just isn't there, and I care a lot more about flavor than I do about vapor.

The Triton will be okay once I ever get the right juice in it. Matty Vapes' peanut butter cookie is in there now, and the tank doesn't do a thing for that juice. Guess it needs some kind of loud fruit flavor or something. Beats the hell outta me.

Have a new Nautilus 2, and the vapor that comes out of it is HOT. AND the damn silly drip tips that come with it are stubby little things that do almost nothing to dissipate heat. Now I'm understanding what @AndriaD keeps saying about her long drip tips. Had to pull one of my older ones out to put on the N2. Got tired of the damn thing burning me.

Have a Subtank Plus and a Toptank Mini on the way from different places, got some Kanger SSOCC coils for them today, so yes, I've added a type of coil that I'll have to keep onhand, if I like these Kanger tanks. Not at all convinced I will, but we'll see.

Also ordered a couple more DTs from Rhonda last week. My youngest daughter has a birthday coming up, so I got her one to go on her evod, and got myself another one. Ordered regular width this time, Cherry Cheesecake, still the Rainforest shape. I like that shape. Ordered skinnier for Jessica since her devices are so small. (I've begged her to take a box mod and tank from me BUT NOOOO. Says she likes that damn evod. Ok, fine.)

I'm in a snit this evening. Can you tell? :blah:

Oh, the WTA juices came from Om Vapors. Don't care much for the flavor I tried first, but I vaped it anyway to see if I could feel anything from the alkaloids. Couldn't really tell a difference, noticed a bit of harshness to my throat (which I'm really not terribly surprised about). Will try the other flavor when I free up a tank for it. Since I'm not controlling the amount of WTA in the juice, it may just not be strong enough, or it may be that I didn't vape it for long enough at one time.

I keep the tip airflow closed and the tank airflow fully open. I use all kinds of flavors in mine with Atlantis .5 ohm coils. I've never had it mute anything.

Well, if that's the case, I may not have the wattage up high enough. Right now it has a Herakles 1.8 ohm ceramic coil in it, doesn't seem to be much different than the Vaporesso coil I had in it before, but I've been running it at about 24-26W. Can't vape those Atlantis coils - too much heat for me, and the one or two of them that I've tried would regularly spit hot juice back at me every time I first drew on them, after they'd been sitting for a while. I got to the point where I was waiting on it - the big spit - it would happen once, then the coil would get warm enough, and it wouldn't happen again until I let it cool completely off.

Who knew hardware had personality? :giggle:

The only thing I've ever "felt" from WTA is a negative -- a total lack of cravings, or a lessening of stress/depression. It's nothing at all like a drug. And it does take a while for the effect to start; primarily because it's vaped, not smoked, and also because it really is subtle, not like a drug.

Also... I can't really vouch for any effect from "WTA ejuice" -- you have no way of knowing just how much WTA is really in it, and how much is just plain nicotine. I always bought the 24mg unflavored, and added it to my ejuice; that way I knew how much was in there, and I could control the quantity, which is important when you're weaning off it. And if you vape it with any regularity, then after a while, weaning WILL be necessary -- it's not QUITE as addictive as cigarettes, but close.

I just looked up the Omega WTA flavor from Om- No way could I vape that, Lime, coconut cheesecake all on my cannot vape list!
I can't stand milks, yogurts, cheesecakes, most citrus, blueberry, cherry, banana, peanut butter, coconut, maple, alcohol and many doughnut flavors, just taste so horrible to me.
I like many peach, strawberry, blue raspberry, grape, apple, coffee and some bakery cinnamon flavors, and sweet candy flavors like bubble gums.
Not sure what nic level you are at, but that could be the cause of the harshness- I vape 3mgs and I do have some 0 too, the juice tastes better to me in less nic. Much trial and error for ejuice- taste is so subjective. In the beginning I went to my Vape Shop to try flavors and that is how I discovered many I liked and disliked.
Sometimes these liquids need to be shaken and let sit in a dark cabinet for a few weeks- many times that helps improve the flavor.
I don't know anything about WTAs so I cannot comment on their effects, I have never used WTAs.
Om makes some of my favorite liquids like Serene,Baked,Cafe #7, The Balance, The Cobra, Toasted and the Tropics
I did not like The Wild One and Nirvana. Summer Dream is just Ok, not really tasting the lime in that one which is great for me!

Normally I like citrus more than any other kind of fruit, but lime may be the exception. Also like cherry a lot but it almost always needs a lot of steeping. My thing actually is spices - cinnamon, especially. Like peppermint, grape, really rich custards, and just yesterday mixed up a killer bubble gum juice. That one's going to be a long-term keeper. Also like Hangsen Tiramisu a lot, but most chocolate vapes are a bit wimpy. Chocolate is hard to get right in juice.

I'm not terribly put out by the Om Vapors stuff - it was very inexpensive, and worth a shot for sure.

Try Molinberry's Glamour Chocolate -- it's the only one I can taste at all. vaperstek carries it. But on the whole, not a big fan of chocolate vapes -- the creamy fattiness of chocolate is half its appeal, and that is totally absent from vaping. :(
