Of course it is, I took what eStorm said, saw your v2 and branched from there :) Figured it's the next logical step. The custard might not be needed, I might make a version with and without. I'm just not familiar with those cake flavors and in case it needs some moisture and thickness I threw it in on a whim lol

It’s a good call! I think I might pick a different custard, though. VCV1 can over power everything.....but you only used it at 2%, so it might not. I love my cake flavors, but haven’t used the fluffy white cake. I’m thinking, in the end, we may have to up the percentages because they might be overpowered by all the other yumminess.

Seems like we have a few paths here that we are dialing in on:

White Chocolate
Profile 1
LOT White Chocolate
Profile 2
VT White Chocolate Base
VT White Fudge combo

Cake
Profile 1
JF Yellow Cake
Profile 2
WF Angel Cake
WF Fluffy White Cake
Profile 3
FW Yellow Cake
CAP Cake Batter

Marzipan
Profile 1
FA Marzipan
Profile 2
INW Marzipan

Enhancers we can play around with and will vary based on the 3 fundamentals above I believe.

Yup. I just went and checked out the three I have mixed and they are all different in wonderful ways, I think.

Oh sure you can use whatever custard you want or even something different. I personally like CAP VC1 in smaller quantities because it's so damn dense and it adds body. 2% I've found isn't eggy yet but adds that rich moist goodness.

It may not need any density at all, but perhaps FA Custard if it needs a boost? It has a lemon note so would brighten things up if that would make things pop in a way, and aligns with what @nadalama is hinting at with her recipes with the citrus.

And I agree about the %s, I am only familiar with LOT White Chocolate and that stuff is potent but DELICIOUS! Will need to see how strong the VT stuff is when I go test. Let me know between the 2 what you like.

I did get the LOT white chocolate.....haven’t used it yet, but I do have it now! I haven’t had time to mess with it yet. And I haven’t used the VT a lot. I had used TFA before, thinking it was the only one to use(and, who knows, it may be the one to use here!). LOT really piques my curiosity....white chocolate is so tough! I’m hoping @eStorm is right adding the white fudge to boost it up. Tomorrow, I’m going to do my v2 with LOT WC. Any advice on %?

And I agree on the FA Custard. The lemon may be a nice touch, as long as it doesn’t drown out the wc or marzipan.

LOT White Chocolate by itself should never IMO be mixed above 0.5% as it's wicked strong. If just doing the LOT with no backers, maybe start 0.36 - 0.4%. If you are backing with white fudge, I'd say drop it to 0.25%

Nice! Thanks for the tips. The next version awaits! And now maybe I can get a hold of the raspberry white chocolate pudding I was trying to perfect.

What company is LOT? Can't find it. Must be some super-powerful white chocolate, though. :)
Lotus/Medicine Flower. As far as I can tell, ecigexpress is the only one that has it, but I’ve checked back for months and they’ve been out of stock. I ordered it straight from Medicine Flower.....it’s super pricey. Like some of FLV pricey.

Alright I have mixed the following and here are my initial smell tests:

Ishkabibble

Angel Cake(WF) 3%
White Chocolate Base(VT) 3%
Vanilla Custard v1(CAP) 2%
White Fudge SC(WF) 1.5%
Fluffy White Cake (WF) 1.5%
Shisha Vanilla(INW) 1%
Marzipan(INW) 0.5%
Almond(FA) 0.5%

Very strong marzipan, upfront cherry notes
Cake is slightly present
White chocolate / fudge not present
Slight almond
Slight hint of the vanilla custard

Angel Cake(WF) 3%
White Chocolate Base(VT) 3%
White Fudge SC(WF) 1.5%
Fluffy White Cake (WF) 1.5%
Shisha Vanilla(INW) 1%
Marzipan(INW) 0.5%
Almond(FA) 0.5%

Same as above but obviously no vanilla custard

Overall: Seems the INW Marzipan is stomping over everything else like wreck-it Ralph. Maybe if that was toned down the other flavorings would come through. Perhaps with aging it calms down.

WildGypsy70 v2

Fluffy White Cake SC (WF) 2%
Marzipan(FA) 2%
Angel Cake SC(WF) 1.5%
Sugar Cookie v1(CAP) 1%
Shisha Vanilla(INW) 1%
White Fudge SC(WF) 1%
Almond(FA) 0.5%
Frosting(FLV) 0.5%

Nice marzipan coming through, not nearly as upfront as above recipes
Cake is there, nice and balanced
Slight almond notes
Slight white chocolate
No frosting smell yet but that might be because its supporting the White Fudge

Overall: Very balanced and upon initial smell test, better than than my 2 so far

Upon initial smell I think I still prefer the Medicine Flower / Lotus White Chocolate. That and it seems the INW Marzipan is stupid strong, so that being said I am going to try adjust my recipe to the following:

Angel Cake(WF) 3%
Marzipan(FA) 2%
Vanilla Custard v1(CAP) 2%
White Fudge SC(WF) 1.5%
Fluffy White Cake (WF) 1.5%
Shisha Vanilla(INW) 1%
Almond(FA) 0.5%
White Chocolate(LOT) 0.3%

@nadalama - I am about to place an order so once I get those flavorings your is next :)

@wildgypsy70 I bet if you took your v2 and added the MF White Chocolate at 0.2% you would be on to something. The stuff is wicked strong, so the price may seem high upfront but it doesn't take much!

Nice round up! I will definitely take tour advice and add the LOT WC to the second version. I’m hopefully going to test the three tonight(if I don’t get distracted by stuff) and will give feedback.....

Slightest hint of cherry
Not much cake

I'm thinking next iteration of this guy will be to bump the fluffy white cake to 2.5% and to drop the angel cake to 2%. Maybe add some Nonna's cake back in too :)

Nice. Gotta go mess with the white chocolate......I’m just so tired today. The creativity is lacking a bit. Sigh.....

I've just had another taste of my original recipe in this thread, and it's getting better, more what I initially had in mind. Need to clear my palate and try again after a while. I've been switching from one vape to another all afternoon and think I have my taste buds confused.

Still haven't mixed V2. I'm a slug, what can I say?

ETA: Just realized what's wrong with V1. As several of you discussed, it's dry. I'm going to refill the tank and add a couple of drops of ODF Custard to see what happens.

Well, no. That isn't it. Too much brown sugar in ODF Custard, made the whole tank taste blech. It's like it killed all the sweet taste out of the mix.

Never mind.

Hey, @Ishkabibble....when I originally mixed yours, I used FA Marzipan instead of INW(I thought I had it but I didn’t) and just tried yours again. YUM. Like you said before, INW was just stomping all over everything. This is v1, btw. Your v2 is still steeping. The VT white chocolate does come through probably a bit more, because it’s not getting stomped.

Btw, I added a touch of the MF white chocolate to my v2 and I just finger tested it. BAM! You were right! And an added bonus of it possibly bringing out the marzipan even more! Which is great....I love marzipan! But I still get the rest of the recipe....it’s not overwhelming. Yay!

Which one is the v1, the one with the Angel Cake and Fluffy White Cake? Thanks for the report! I am also waiting on things to age myself.

I did make your v2 and added the MF white chocolate also - excited!

The very first version with Nonnas Cake. The v2 is steeping with the MFWC. As is my v2(angel/fluffy).

Your v2 without the added MFWC is very good after 8 days.

In general I'm noticing the WF cakes have a lot of frosting in them, so perhaps the frosting aspects in the WF cakes needs to age a lot more to get rid of some of those DAP notes.

Also I'm wondering if the White Fudge is taking away from some of the sponge / fluff when I use it with CAP VC. I think MFWC alone does the job as far as the white chocolate, so I'm trying the following next:

Fluffy White Cake SC(WF) 3%
Marzipan(FA) 2%
Angel Cake SC(WF) 1.5%
Vanilla Custard V1(CAP) 1.5%
Shisha Vanilla(INW) 1%
Nonna's Cake(FA) 0.5%
White Chocolate(MF) 0.3%

Updated testing, 8 days later. Tested with Hadaly RDA / Fused Clapton 2x28/36 SSL316 2.5mmID 6 wrap 0.4ohm / 38 watts

Angel Cake(WF) 3%
White Chocolate Base(VT) 3%
Vanilla Custard v1(CAP) 2%
White Fudge SC(WF) 1.5%
Fluffy White Cake (WF) 1.5%
Shisha Vanilla(INW) 1%
Marzipan(INW) 0.5%
Almond(FA) 0.5%

Very strong Marzipan, not real sharp but it is overpowering
Very slight white chocolate from the fudge - mostly get the body of it coming through
Decent cherry notes
Cake fluffiness is non-existent, but the flavor is somewhat there
Vape is real warm, almost like some ethyl alc. still hanging around

Angel Cake(WF) 3%
Marzipan(FA) 2%
Vanilla Custard v1(CAP) 2%
White Fudge SC(WF) 1.5%
Fluffy White Cake (WF) 1.5%
Shisha Vanilla(INW) 1%
Almond(FA) 0.5%
White Chocolate(LOT) 0.3%

White chocolate coming through nicely, seems to cut through quite a bit, and is quite smooth
Marzipan is a little buried here, might be because it's trying to fight with the WC or perhaps the two have congealed to trick my brain
Getting very slight fluffiness and decent cake flavor - fluffier than above though
Pretty dense mouthfeel
No cherry notes

Waiting on @wildgypsy70 v2 with the MFWC, and my latest to age a bit. In my opinion, once we get the fluffy "bready" part of the cake to come through a bit more and even out the Marzipan and WC, we might be golden! Almost like Nonna's Cake needs to be ever so present to get us that fluff.

Hey, Ishy! I’ve got a few more days on v2....but I had a thought.....maybe the WF fudge is dragging the fluff down? If the Lot WC can hold it’s own, do we need the fudge? It gives it thickness, but if we’re going for fluffiness, maybe we’re botching it somehow....or maybe just drop the fudge a bit. And how is the VCV1 playing with things? Just rambling....I haven’t mixed in days so I’m all excited.

Btw.....I have two more threads to start. Lol!!! A clone and a request. Ya up for it?

Yeah I say ditch the fudge. I made two versions of my last recipe posted, one with VC and one without. Who knows, we might be set with like 6 ingredients only lol

Once those age I'll know if the VC is needed or if we are getting enough density without it :)

Yours might be the tits without the fudge and added MFWC also. Or the tits with the fudge in there!

Once those age I'll know if the VC is needed or if we are getting enough density without it :)

Yours might be the tits without the fudge and added MFWC also. Or the tits with the fudge in there!

Cool. I’ll mix my v2 without fudge, with MFWC and maybe up the WF fluffy white cake a tad.....just to make a comparison. We’re almost there, I think!

We’re almost there, I think!

Every time I think we're done or close I get that bright idea of trying some different things.... I am never almost there ;)

I don't know why, but I thought this might be good, mind you there's not any white chocolate added as of yet, and I also might increase the (FA)Marzipan a little bit.

Mediterranean * Delight :
2.00% Angel Cake (SC) (WF)
1.00% Condensed Milk (Purilum)
1.00% Marzipan (FA)
0.15% Marzipan (INAWERA)
4.00% Pound cake (DIYFS)
0.25% Torrone (Nougat) (FA)
0.38% Vanilla Pudding (Flavorah)

I don't have pound cake (FLV), but it's on my list. It's probably different tho but I'm sure it could work very well. Give it a try if you get a chance and let me know please. Maybe it has enough marzipan but I'm always picky and change stuff around lol.

I'll pickup these flavors and try it out! Missing the pound cake and vanilla pudding. BTW I know you said a week on your Crack Pie but i'm giving 2 just because I can and figure 2-3 is the nectar zone unless it doesn't change much after a week? Butter notes are a little harsh to me early on but that calms down after a couple weeks for me so usually bakeries and creams I let sit for 2, mostly 3 weeks. Custards, 6 minimum, 8 preferred.

Alright it has been 8 days for this one, and I think I have a winner as far as recipes I've done. @wildgypsy70 yours has another 2 days and then I will compare (your v2 with the MFWC):

Fluffy White Cake SC(WF) 3%
Marzipan(FA) 2%
Angel Cake SC(WF) 1.5%
Vanilla Custard V1(CAP) 1.5%
Shisha Vanilla(INW) 1%
Nonna's Cake(FA) 0.5%
White Chocolate(MF) 0.3%

I made and tried this with and without the CAP VC and I like it better with the VC in it. It adds enough moisture and body while still allowing the "sponge" to come through. Without the VC it was a tad dry. Also I feel that Nonna's Cake really is crucial here to lift the other cake flavors and mimic that fluffy bready texture. It is low enough to not scream "here I am, you know what this is!".

Marzipan and white chocolate are nicely balanced, although the MFWC has another week to go, so it might smother the Marzipan a tiny bit when it's done. If that is the case, the only adjustment would be to up the FA Marzipan like a .5% or so.

Excellent! I think your v2 still has a day or two to go. My MFWC is bangin! You were right.....that white chocolate is the game changer.

I’m def getting overwhelmed by the number of little bottles on my desk(like 30-40). So many testers! Hopefully, I’ll get a good few out of them. I’ve got a nice raspberries and cream steeping....looking forward to that one. I’ll post the successful ones.....

Well good at least we can stop testing cake bases, by now I probably can't taste a single cake anymore and bakery isn't even my favorite LOL.
Glad you found a version you can enjoy, can't wait to read the final results tho.

That's part of the reason why I had to stop, too. Was getting to the point that I couldn't taste the difference between all these cakes I'd mixed over the past couple of months. Screwed up a tester when I actually poured the remaining contents of a tank back into the wrong bottle.

Bakery IS my favorite and I had to shelve it for a bit. Got taste blind. I’m vaping fruits for now.....and a really nice raspberries and cream. And I’m heading back into cereals for my most recent experiments. But I still have testers to test from several threads to deal with.....lol!

I've have the issue with thicker creams lately too. My custards are fine, guess I've just overdone it lol.

Just like you I find myself aiming for fruit or at least throw some fruitier stuff into recipes, I would have not considered a couple months ago. Same with beverages. Don't get me wrong I don't mind bakery but not my first thing to pick unless I put the bakery aspect more in the background, which then kinda defeats the purpose of bakery lol. I do cereals but getting tired of that as well.

I really like vaping spicy flavors, so lately have enjoyed pink bubble gum, which I never realized was a spice flavor until I found this recipe on ELR. It's cinnamon, wintergreen, orange, and vanillin. Also have another cinnamon juice that I enjoy, a peppermint and chocolate, and a spumoni (not spices, but also not custard or bakery). Also mixed the cornbread puddin recipe of Vaperoxx's, which is a super-sweet cereal flavor, different from anything I've vaped before. I'll definitely make it again, but will have to reduce the flavor percentage on it. One of these days want to come up with a good ginger-based recipe, but don't have any ideas for it at the moment.

Defiantly something to consider. Switching it up and reaching for flavors we normally wouldn't go for might put that "spice" back into a old boring mix.

I've been working with florals lately or my coconut custard that has rice in it for the difference of sweet silky coconut and heavy custard. I've been working on a Jasmine Rice Pudding as well as a honey suckle starfruit filled croissant.

I don't mind real spice, but most of them in vape form give me a lot of throat hit, which I hate etc. I think it helps not getting bored and maybe learn to combine flavors or categories we might not be very similar with.

At least we derailed this topic tho, sorry Ish lol

Yeah.....but I can never truly get away from custards or bakeries. I’m working on a Custard right now that just might be awesome.....IMO, anyway. I just take a day break from them. Fruits, though, are pretty nice and easy to work with...and snv to boot!

Alrighty......my v2 and @Ishkabibble’s last version.....they are both amazingly good! Slightly different....I think the Nonnas and VCV1(I added 1% because you said you liked it better with it) definitely made a difference. I also agree that the Marzipan may need to be upped a tad.

Mine, I think, needs to lose the white fudge. It’s good with it, but I really do believe that it’s dragging down the Cake aspect a bit. Not a ton, but I think my next version will be much closer to yours....or just be yours. And the LOTWC is most definitely the perfect choice....so I would lose the VT. It’s almost there!
