In the market for a new work mod i do construction and need something sturdy i normally run single coil builds ,cant decide if i want the Aegis 100w with 21700 cap or the dual 18650 Aegis Legend 200w.
Battery life is a plus, sturdiness is a necessity,

While I do not own either from what I have heard they are both good but I have to say go for the 200W because I always say.............

I have the 100 watt and it is built like a tank.
I use a Zeus tank on top with . 2 -. 5 ohm coils, so I rarely go above 50 watts.
The higher the wattage, the quicker battery discharge.
There are multiple choices of what battery you can use as well. 18650, 21700, 26650.

The mod is under $45 and from a very good company, Geekvape.

How much more convenient is it really though?
Onboard charging (not that I'd recommend using onboard charging on any device... External charger are always preferable).

Easier to access the USB port of upgrades and charging.

Easier, more comfortable to hold.

Greater range of power.

Newer firmware.

There is no on board charging for the 100 watt version.
And the USB is on top, but you have to remove two screws to get to it.
I updated the firmware when I first got it.

the Aegis is good, however, the Aegis 200w is better, ease of use, build quality, looks and power :shades::shades:

The Aegis in its element. Lovin' my 100w, not a fan of dual batt mods, but you really cant go wrong with either. My suggestion is if you vape high wattage, go with the dual. Otherwise, go with the single batt.

The 100w eats 18650 so you will need to take 8 batterys out with you I reckon for most of the day and that's vaping at around 70w mark onley hit 100w for first couple on 18650 not to shore about 26650 or 2x700 but will need adapter as well but it's solid like solid it cloud be used as a murder wepon in cludo it's that hard not used the legend but it's 2x 18650 so the voltage drop will not eat them I'd go for the legend coz the 100w is a pain in the bum onley for battery life

First thing to note is using an 18650 in the single batt version is a joke. Yes, it works and, if in a pinch, it is nice to have the compatibility but for a daily driver I do not think it is an option based on how frequently you need to change the battery with even modest use.

You will need to invest in at the least 26650 cells, and I am assuming your charger can charge them or you'll need to upgrade there too. Assuming you have all of that covered, then yes it is a great mod. However, I wish I would've just bought the dual batt version and not been forced to use special batteries to get the thing to perform like I want it to.

From reports it seems build quality, and I am assuming longevity, is similar. The mod is the most heavy duty feeling device I have ever tried. If you're in construction it is a no-brainer. Regardless, you've already made a great choice in narrowing it down to these two. And no I don't work for them. I run a Drag as my daily I will admit.

Just found this in the deals thread. 45% Off Aegis Legend 200W (~$55)

I'm in the same boat. but I'm going to buy the legend just as soon as the rx200 croaks so sooner rather than later. My problem is going to be finding the best batteries for it. The only negative I have heard about either of them is the silicone on it loves dust. But oh well. I do metal fabrication so yea your on the right path for the mod.

I have the legend and it sucks.
The battery door always pops open when placing the mod somewhere, and I don't throw my mods or using them heavy handed. The door itself takes 5-10 clicks before even closing after inserting batteries

Other brands in comparison, same or even cheaper price range perform much better. I don't have tools to actually measure the output, but it feels like it's extremely underperforming. I had the same issue with the gbox, now the legend right out the box. All I can say is,look elsewhere.

This is significant to me as the battery door on the single batt version is the most sturdy, water-proofed design I've ever personally used and one of my favorite things about the mod. If the battery door is popping open on the Legend then I will steer clear. The same thing used to happen to me with my IPV8 and I can't stand it. Hard to believe the Legend is built as well as the single batt version considering this.

What do you mean 5/10 clicks?
Also is there a durable device that you would recommend. Usually a mod only lasts me about a year. So I want to make sure I get a good durable one.

Been using a legend for about 4 months and love it. Caught a great price and discount on 8 vape and bought 2 more of them to have as backups.
