Hey everyone I'm new to the vaping world and was reading some on cloud chasing. I have the ijust 2 and was wondering can I achieve this on this battery or do I need a different setup?
Thanks

Can you make a big cloud yes. Start here steam-engine.org.... They key is converting as much 100%VG juice to vapor as fast as you can....... With a 50watt device you wont be chasing clouds. as to catch a clouds requires near unlimited power supply.

How new are you...? I suggest getting a cheaper mechanical mod.. what is your ultimate goal? Why do you want to “cloud chase”?? You lose flavor with most actual cloud chasing builds, run 0 nic 100% VG juice... and you literally are just gonna blow a bunch of vapor. I’m seriously curious of your intent?

They certainly don't need a Mech for cloud chasing and I certainly wouldn't recommend one to a newbie. Especially one that has zero experience building, a bit irresponsible IMO.

If you want to get into cloud chasing you'll need a more powerful Mod than the iJust. That is just for starters.

Sigh... you are doing it all wrong bro.. you could have replied to my comment and not skipped me. A Smok Mag, Yeah sure 150w with a “12” coil will great vapor. Cloud Chasing is not so much about just buying mods that have the most watts.. most cloud comps don’t allow anything below a .10 or anything more than a single 21700 mechanical mod.. otherwise we could just all use PWMs with 4s lipos.. or like my DNA250C with a 4s that pushes 400 Watts.. Cloud chasing is more about the image, and the community , it’s a whole sub genre to the vaping community, like flavor chasers that swear by MTL tanks and buy DNA40 Stabwood 1200$ mods.. vaping has multiple “scenes” Cloud Chasing is one of them... and no regulated , ESPECIALLY Smok, will get you respect or even into the groups on Facebook.

I don’t want to come off as a dick, but I can tell you are watching Rip Trippers, or some other mainstream YouTuber...

It's all good bro I'm just starting out haven't been vaping for very long. A friend of mine has a duel battery mech mod that can be used as a single I'm thinking about buying. Here is a pic of it. It's the tube mod of the left. I can get it for 25 bucks, he said it's only been used for a few weeks.

Before you get into Mech's you need to be experienced at building coils, seriously.

Additionally for those looking to get into Mech's here are some of the basic's when starting out.

1. You MUST know Ohm's law, http://www.steam-engine.org/ makes it easy and there's even an app on it for Android
2. Batteries! you MUST take good care of your batteries and know them!!!!!!!!
a. Avoid garbage batteries like eFest who rewrap rejects with grossly inflated amp ratings. Stick with authentic LG, Sony or Samsung from reputable (not eBay or Amazon) sources, great places to get authentic are from
http://liionwholesale.com/
https://www.imrbatteries.com/
https://www.illumn.com
b. Stick well within Continuous Discharge Rate (CDR) Not the "pulse"
c. Keep up to date with what Mooch tests and battery ratings, follow his posts on Facebook and his Blog
d. In Mod's with multiple batteries, marry them.
e. Get some battery wraps, they're cheap and easy to re-wrap batteries. Any nicks, tears or what ever don't be stupid and just re-wrap.
3. Don't build stupid low a good builder can chuck and get awesome dense vape from a good build. It's simple, with 20 CDR Amp batteries -
a. Single battery mod's you're fine with .2Ω on up
b. Dual Parallel you're fine with .15Ω on up. Parallel you take the full CDR of one battery and you can add 1/2 the amp rating of the next battery
c. Series you double the voltage but you share the amp. So a series you build high with a lot of wire, no lower that .4 ohms.
4. Make sure you don't have any shorts. For an extra caution any new build I vape on a regulated mod for a few drips or with a tank about a 1/4 tank. This is to insure nothing wonky with my build or any shorts.
5. Careful if it's not in your hand, if it doesn't have a lock on the button and you put it in your pocket (which I really don't recommend) insure nothing else is in your pocket and it's loose. Don't want to put it in your front jeans pocket and blow your dick off ya know ;)
6. Last but certainly NOT the least, keep it clean! Clean it when you first get it "before" you even use it and clean it on a regular basis.
a. Ultrasonics are a very good investment, got mine off Amazon for around $25.

Holy popcorn man, do i need to take college courses lol. That's crazy but I understand that I have got to know my stuff before using a mech mod. Im still getting one but before I use it I will start now reading up on some things. I really appreciate your advice and I will definitely do all of what you suggested! Safety is key and if I can't do this the right way then I'll not fool with the mech.

It's really not that difficult and it becomes second nature. Also in my opinion it's well worth it because it takes you to a totally new level but a level that really is very enjoyable. Key though is knowing how to build for that is the world of Mech's. Also if you know what you're doing IMO it's actually safer cause you are responsible for your own safety, not some chip mass produced in some factory by workers earning (and treated) slave labor.

Learn your stuff, practice on your regulated gear then take the dive for it's worth it ;)

Absolutely man, I'm gonna take my time and do this the right way.

Also the guy I'm buying the mech mod from I work with him and he is a good dude I trust him. He already has 2 batteries that comes with it. The name of the mech mod I'm buying from him is called big mac mod. The only thing I probably need to buy is a roll of wire and a battery charger. I think the battery size is duel 26650. The mod is made to unscrew in the middle and only use 1 26650 at a time, or you can stack.

iJoy 26650's are the best 26650.

I got the mag mod today from ebay. I don't know what's up with it I may have got screwed. When I take out the battery's and put them back in the Smok logo appears on the screen then goes away I click the fire button 5 times real fast and nothing. When I plug up the device to charge both battery indicators show as full. Now I got the screen to power on and I was adjusting the wattage but the mod wasn't reading the atomizer for some reason. The mod came with the tfv12. Now I'm right back to were I started from can't get the device to power up, when taking out battery's and putting them back in only brings up the Smok logo for a few seconds and then all I see is a black screen. I'm fucking pissed.
Would it be a short or something?

Sorry to hear you having a bad time @Super_SU but buying MOD's, Tank or coils on eBay is not buying from a reputable seller IMO. I do buy my wire and cotton on eBay but would never buy a MOD. Good Luck with getting a refund.

Hey bro the mag I bought off eBay is 100% authentic. I have it registered on smok. Its weird though, ya know how ya gotta hit the fire button 5 times to turn on the mod.... Well its been working off and on. Sometimes I have to keep hitting the fire button way more than 5x and other times all it takes is 5 clicks. This device hasn't been upgraded. I'm thinking a firmware update will fix it because when it's turned on the fire button works perfectly. Thing is I'm having trouble figuring out how to upgrade my firmware. I scanned the A n B code that was on the Smok box but I don't know we're the verification code is. I think the code is 16 characters long letters and numbers... I think it's got letters in the code. Would you have any idea how I can upgrade my firmware?

If you hit the fire button 5 times but slightly delay between clicks it does not recognize it as a turn on. Just a thought~!

If you want to cloud chase, that is get the max cloud you can, then no tank is ever going to produce more cloud than a cloud chasing RDA. you just do not have enough airflow or control over your coil builds.
clouds require vapor, vapor requires heat, heat requires airflow to cool so you can inhale it. The MutationX V4 and MutationX V5 are 2 of the best cloud chasing atomizers.
You can still make decent clouds, but nothing you will win competitions with which is the ultimate goal of cloud chasing.
btw.. Ijoy RDTA combo will beat the snot out of a cloud beast tank. Simply due to the actual space allotted for building your coils. Think of it as 2 or 4 itty bitty tiny coils vs 2 huge assed 3.5mm 6 wrap coils. LOL Kind of like powering your go cart with 4 weed whacker engines vs 2 humping 454 V8s.
BTW.. my Ijoy combo cant touch my Mutx atomizers either. These are only at 88w.. my batteries are running down. Normally I would fire this around 200w.
