Thankyou!! And it will forever remain sweetly as this picture. All the ribbon collapsed when I tried to wrap it. I knew it was going to because the decore was oversized so all the innerds were not compacted at all. That's why I decided to stitch it. But I had to fuse so lightly that the stitch didn't really do much

Had much better session today!! Couple of failed preps lead me to this idea. Currently just some wire porn. Scared to wrap it :wait:
Enigma Binary: 10 ply .3 KA1, Crimped 32g Ni80, 2 ply .5 Ni80, 26g KA1, 38g KA1 Decore, 42g Ni80 Stitch.

Verry Nice! I love vert builds!

Thank you! :D

I find that oversizing the decores makes fusing easier for 4 to 1 or higher. But if your planning to have an unspaced fuse then it wont be a tight one. You can get around this by having some spacing ... but it changes the look of the build.

I've done this before, without the stitching, and its pretty damn hard. Yours looks absolutely perfect. I bet it would wrap just fine. When I did mine I found that not putting too much tension on the decore while binding allowed for the ribbon to stack to such a way that it was pretty easy to wrap. And to be honest with you, I'm not inherently good at wraping. I just kinda do the best I can. Anywho really impressive build!

A quick but steady run of the mini torch (paying attention to overheat neither your build nor the mini torch itself) will greatly help to reduce the springiness before you coil it up, and, if you also pull on it just lightly during the torching process, any slack that exists in your build will be removed also in addition to removing the springiness that's responsible for the coiling up part fumbling itself as you let go of the tension, a tip I learned from Roger (@alotawire on instagram) who explained it in a build video tutorial by Squidoode (The Art of Vaping) on the subject of braided coil builds and on how to properly coil them up:

The mini torch I got is from a brand called Prof. (Cool, huh? :D)

Another tip that can also help to keep the ribbon wire standing up vertical as you coil up your build is to, also before you coil it up, lay it on a flat smooth surface and apply just the right amount of pressure, such that you don't actually squash the wrap wire, by using a rolling pin to remove whatever slack might still remain after the torching part. As an added bonus, during the dry firing part working out the hot spots will typically require less effort so then you don't need to keep strumming so hard with the tip of your ceramic tweezers.

Hello everybody. I am from Germany and I am building coils since 2017. Yesterday I was building a Whisked Framed Staple coil and I really want to show this to you.

I have a rolling pin I use for most builds to help set the fuse if/when my staggers aren't prefect and/or my cores don't want to sit straight. But the inside of that enigma was just flat out loooooose. The alien wire was intentionally claptoned from a gauge that was "to big". So it had almost no parallel grab on the cores pulling them together (if you look closely you can see a gap between the alien wire and the round cores). I was hoping the stitch would make up for the lack of tension holding the cores together. But I literally couldn't do any more than guide the wire while fusing. So the stitch also had minimal grab on the cores. Trying to wrap it was like trying to wrap a naked framed staple. I've thought about picking up a torch in the past but up until now I have only run into this problem 1 other time. Maybe this is the motivation :D

Just quick try fusing with 48g ss. I was in a hurry so i didin't use vice to coil it up but just wanted to know how that 48g really feels like Next will be coiled with vice and it's 20ply with 0.4 ribbon btw. The focus limit with phone and macrolens is here. I really want to get good macro shot to see if it really that tight as it seems to be

Tbh I've never stepped foot inside a vape shop, probably a sin haha I'm also mostly nocturnal so ordering online is the easiest thing for me. Plus as I got into DIY juice before I ever touched on doing my own coils I don't have or really want to search for new juices. Rather try and do my own thing and that way at least if they try taking flavoured juices away over here I'll be able to just find the necessary ingredients and fuck the law

Edit. Went completely off topic there, they're some crazy prices you're paying for a couple 18350s :/ again though I just buy online with my batteries too. Too used to just opening up ebay and finding what I want. Need to break that habit though

Do you feel eBay is cheaper on items compared to Amazon and other electronic/vape shop?? I've been buying a lot from Amazon an I'm starting to like it.. I have anexity alot an really don't like being around people that much so it's convenient for me.. also cheaper prices I've know. eBay does have stuff u can just outright buy correct not just bidding?? An is the stuff usally legit.. authentic?? **SORRY FOR OFF TOPIC**

Well ... few days since my last successful build. Almost trashed this stick too. But I figured "Why the hell not". It aint clean ... but maaaan it's a fantastic vape. The flavor on it is outrageous!
.3 KA1, 28g Ni80, 36g Ni80, .09 ohms, 5ish mm ID (not sure cause it's wrapped on a nail :giggle::giggle:), in the vandy pulse 24.

Ebay has a way better selection of miscellaneous items of quality at good prices - Amazon is just as cluttered with cheap junk with stock photos as Ebay, maybe worse - both use 3rd party vendors, Amazon allows vendors to set their own refund policies...so buyer beware

I've also bought something on Amazon rated 5 starts with 500 Fake reviews ...terrible

Both sites require a careful eye, but I prefer Ebay more

Yesterday was an alien build day for me :D
I was making some Mech Alien Coils and some MTL Fused Claptons only for fun :)
Mech Alien: 3* 26G NI80 with 35G NI80
MTL Fused Clapton: 2* 30G KA1 with 42G SS316L

 Yeah but my alien wire was intentionally clapton'd too big also, as I had simply refused to buy a spool of 26g knowing full well beforehand the 25.5g just wasn't going to be small enough. After I finished building my fralien strand the alien wrap on it was so loose I could actually even decore it effortlessly if I wanted to, but anyway... I learned my lesson well and so last week I finally got the 26g, it's from the Crazy Wire brand because that's all they had in stock so that's why I had refused to get a spool, as I fucking hate that brand, and I fucking hate it with a passion enough for me to might wanna decide using it for tying up tomato plants instead of for trying to build another fralien. :D
