Lol... you’ll probably get as many different answered as responses here.
I have both: I’ve been a self confessed evolv fan since the dna20- so I may be a tad biased.
For temp control: the dna is much better in my opinion.
For wattage mode... I still prefer the evolv board; but, gene is much closer in that department.
As for actual practical usage: I don’t leave the house with my dna mods, at 150+ dollar a piece. I don’t mind taking out a 50$ mod though

I have the Paranormal and the Voopoo Drag 2 that just came out. I cant decide which I like better.
I only ise wattage mode never temp control. I only use 26 28 gauge parallels out of kanthal. The Drag seems to fire quicker. I think in just wattage mode the Gene chip might win the prize.

Again, I think I may, admittedly be a little biased. I prefer the paranormal. It won’t leave my house though. That’s what the voopoo or the mech squonkers are for.
The gene chip is definitely no slouch, that’s for sure. I’m primarily either a mech or tc vapor. I don’t use wattage mode much at all. - so there’s that. The dna just fits my vape style more, in general.

Do u use it in wattage mode?
Do u like the DNA in wattage mode more or do u vape in temp control?
I have the original Voopoo Drag and have only used wattage mode, since I've had Kanthal coils. However, I recently picked up stainless steel coils for my Fireluke tank, so I'll try TC mode soon and let you know how I like it.

Get the Drag 2. Its a whole new world. Its super fast firing and has a cloud enhandment mode. Its right up there with the Paranormal. Thats why I cant decide what I like better.

Like I said. I do use in wattage mode. I simply prefer the preheat function.
Me and a buddy just put the Paranormal head to head with the Voopoo Drag 2. The Paranormal was set on its highest boost mode. The Drag 2 was set on vapor enhancement. The Drag 2 blew densor and more vapor just by aittle. Flavor was the same. We put them back to back. If u want dense big vapor u want the Drag 2. Its cheaper to. If u want fancy temp control and fancy settings I dont use u want the Paranormal. There wasnt much difference but there was a difference.
Get the Voopoo Drag 2. U wont be disappointed. Bigher thicker clouds. Flavor the same.
I've largely converted to salt nic and MTL so clouds aren't my biggest focus these days, but voltage is, so sounds like it could be a solid mod. (I quite enjoy chain vaping for 2 days straight on a pair of 20S' without recharging. Quite a departure from subohming.)

Im all about vapor and flavor. I got the Paranormal cause of its power. But then they came out with the Hene chip that fired even faster. DNA is way overpriced unless ur using it in temp control.
I'll consider it in the future. Right now I don't have the funds to acquire new mods.

I'm with you on the flavor, but I seem to be over clouds for the most part. Not completely, but mostly. Different strokes and all that.
Update. I tried the stainless steel coils, but I like the flavour better in wattage mode than in TC mode.
