Still has more to go.... You gave up too early Sara.....

There is still some dust on the surface...... You see all the minute little dots you see ...billions those come off ....you are near the resin....

But still have a bit more to get to the colors.....

The hole process should take a week that's if you are doing it 3 to 4 hours everyday....

This is the blue pad (both sides) after doing my brown mod..... This is when you know the pad is history..... And time to grab the second pad ......
d6191bdbc6831aa145bbd0b0eaea1cea.jpg
8546f0e111451fae2e9eb64707fca6cb.jpg

Use the blue pad for a couple of days......this one is real important..... And then a couple of days with the purple......

It's not about the shine is about the colors......

I don't mean to be pushing you, it's what makes you happy...... So if you ate happy now you can stop and be happy......

You can always go back again..... Wipe the mod down with alcohol to remove the dirt and old wax, and grab the blue pad rub her down for an hour ....re-wax and keep using......

Every time she will get nicer and nicer.... It's maintenance..... Stabwoods require maintenance.....

But you will see that she will get darker and the colors will become alive......

Just keep doing what you are doing..... I can see she is changing from a cacoon (transforming) into a butterfly....

Take your time....... And hope I helped.....

Ok I’ll continue on with the blue pad. I see what you’re referring to.

Use a small area, that's your test section...... Run your pad and use some force don't be scared..... And rub that shit until you can touch and feel the heat from the friction......

Then compare that spot to the rest.... That's gives you an idea on how the whole mod will look.....

Watch TV and buff..... Use the bathroom and buff.... Be online and buff while you read......

It's hard I know ! But it's rewarding....

Then if someone ever ask you dang that's pretty .... You want to sell it ?

You can say Hell No... Ha ha

Wood finishing refers to the process of refining or protecting a wooden surface, especially in the production of furniture where typically it represents between 5 and 50% of manufacturing costs.

Well my luck. The ThorII has a bad board. Amazingly Evolv's fault not Ultroner. Luckily Asmodus has a guy that can open the faceplates without harming the Mod. Will have to be without it though. No issue I have many others. I have to press buttons 50 times before it registers.

Thor has a very good click. Metal ring around button. Then behind it metal piece to contact button on board. I am not sure but doubt JM has a button nearly as good. You know I am jonesing for it though. Stabwood Mods UK is great. Got it here in 4 days. They have a nice selection. Check them out. Luckily Warranty is handled by Asmodus even though they do not have it for sale yet. For others little lower price and their 30% off sales. I could not wait to have it. It is honestly flawless machining. I am sure they machine buffed it. Which is fine if you know how. If not do not touch that. You will just have saw dust left. Plus JM has wood plate glued on. If it ever needs a new board I doubt they can get to it without damaging it. I do want it but enough is enough already.

I bought a Stabwood tip that matches it. The seller, Rhonda at Angels Heavenly Designs is second to none. She went way out of her way to make me happy. Long story but I would not buy tips anywhere else now. She won customer for life. Just in case anyone did not read tip thread. I cannot say enough good things about her. It is nice when a few good people exist and everyone in this thread. This is the best thread ever!
Thanks it's getting interesting, because we see individuals popping in getting interested and getting a Woody.... And buffing that woody.....

If we all buffed a Woody all night long day after day, this world would be such a nice place......

Funny I told you about wood working, Manny you got me LOL. Like guy that goes for guitar lessons and his name is Steve Vai.

Or be a poor little bitch boy like me and get an acrylic coated one HAHA. I actually had no idea this was coated but did wonder how it looked so good. Machine is not cheating. Thing is very few people can use machine buffers properly anymore. I bet Manny can. They had to buff this because fat chance the end user was about to. So they take 5 minutes on rotary disc. Getting off lucite is a huge PITA. Best to use a mineral based stripper in fact. Speaking of which, what about mineral wax on bare ones? Not sure if that stuff goes rancid. Never veggie wax! Butchers I maintain is #1. See, it is terp based. Goes deep in the wood not greasy. Yours will never shine like my new one but yours are better. Since if you scuff it easily fixed. If I scuff this off to furniture maker. Like I said I do not know how hard a finish they used. I doubt they used real 3M Lucite. That shit is $60 for 3OZ! It is locked up at store LOL.

Well glad I realized Bean Box was not built as well. Phew. They do have even more expensive ones that are perhaps nicer. I bought it because I liked it best and I trust Asmodus. Some guy in Germany good luck with that. Plus it is obvious they do not have the kind of equipment Ultroner does. I cannot fit 1 10# tissue paper between the battery pole and the wood. The bean Box for instance probably fit 3 business cards in there. They just do not have Million dollar machines. China is much different than most places. If they sell each $305+USD they can get Million dollar machines depending if they sell 1,000 of them. That is why I vastly prefer 1/1. These folks are making them 24/7 maybe at the rate of 100 per hour. The quality is still outstanding but they are a dime a dozen there. Bring to US is like Columbia's favorite export! Worth nothing there, but here $$$.

Why I like this so much. I fib and tell people it was 2 grand and they don't doubt it. You can see I posted earlier $12,000 Mods not as nice!
If you have any kind of budget whatsoever stick with Asmodus. Otherwise Vicious Ant is great too. I have a few but do not like what he made right now.
He is best less than 10 people working. YIHI and Ultroner might have 100 people working. Either is fine with me though. Now that I know better those are only two brands I buy. Not paying 12 grand for used shitty Mod, Duh.

OH, Sara you do have much more sanding to go! You can do it!

I can see why wood finishing costs so much - it’s time consuming and labor intensive!!

Yeah, like a top of the line kitchen. $250,000 in just the furniture grade cabinets. Not mine. I have a nice large home but it is for nothing here. This town too small for census but surrounding area 100% below the poverty level. So I was able to get all that stuff for nothing. In the suburbs though big time money. Even a great executive desk is like $20,000. Woodworkers get paid good and they should too. I collect other wood objects and wood is just something I really like. Stabwood is cool because it is much stronger than plain wood. Practice responsible shopping though and do not help deplete the forest.

Dang..... Now that's real wood..... And good wood too..... Those Philipino guys don't mess around..... Nice

Thank you Manny, you have some of the best looking mods I've ever seen, so is a great compliment. :D

Props go to @Chokeslam for selling it to me. My first wood box mod.
I've wanted one since I first saw a Woodville REO in person many years ago...one notch off the list...

Sweet mod....

Actually I think it's native to The Phillipines..... Is it a series or parallel ?

Thanks brother ....

It is a Classique Box Mod by RL Modz in the Phils, circa 2014-15, FAIK.
Fully silver plated contacts.

IMG_4942.jpg IMG_4941.jpg

It's a parallel dual 18650. My personal fave type. :)

I once had an Ironwood pool cue, hardest hitting thing I ever had next to a Balabuska full-splice. :D

Good job....

Series is horrible.... I have fried several..... Putting batteries the wrong way and building too low......

Enjoy it brother !!!!!

I just built one made of Mahogany and it's both, with the switch you can switch between parallel and series....

Now I have to buff and polish her..... Just a project on a day off.....

I certainly am enjoying it. Feels good just to hold it. :D

That is a sweet and clean looking build, an OKR???

So much good shit like that I never did years ago...lol...
Well it's similar to an OKR the only difference is I can run it on 8.4 series or use a switch to step down..... And that's..... Parallel 4.2v

I think an OKR 10 you can select between 4.2 and 8.4v ...it's been a while.... I tried a raptor too.... Fuck that.... I had cables coming out of my ass......

Ya can't bore people with good things, if ya do, ain't ya fault. =)

That a "hawt" mod.... ;-)

I missed the boat back in 2013..coulda got some epic mods then..but too much $$$.
Remember that gal who did all her own art on her mods? Controversial person, but damn she had gorgeous VV mods long before clones existed.

FAIK, she invented the 'splash' mod style.

I can't even remember her name now. dammit. :-(

Old is new again...eventually.
Sorry man..... When I moved from Orlando Florida to Scottsdale Arizona..... I left all schematics and Hammond boxes and high amp switches and mosfets all that shit I gave away and most abandoned.....

Manny, I did not realize how much you know! Not to sound like broken record.... This new trend of exposed battery tube is very hard to build. The ThorII is the best made example I have seen. go figure it is made in China. china is synonymous with crap but not always I guess. I can find zero flaws in it and have looked it carefully with 40x loupe. Some custom Pinoy nicer but $$$. I mean real $$$. ThorII is new to me but if it sucked would have said so. It is my new daily driver. It seems their acrylic coating is very hard Mohls.

Manny, in other thread guy that asked you why you never tried high wattage, Duh! I feel I do not need it. My favorite chip is now 75C. I do not notice how inefficient it is either. YIHI is also tops. Asmodus is fine I just dig Escribe. These all work absolutely fine. We are not discussing $20 Mods in this thread so better bring it.

Ironwood was so named 1000's of years ago because it is so hard. Of course back then it was not called "iron" because iron did not exist yet! In aquarium when you keep Plecostomus you must have iron wood in there or it will die. It's strength is evidenced by less tanins. it is solid shit. Stabwood not nearly as strong but still up there.

Freaking nice Mods folks!

I had a 250 gallon discus aquarium and several small 50 gallons with several plecos back in the day......

These guys were 1 pounders and 12" to 18" inches.... Those fuckers you couldn't kill..... I had wood in there and any bit of algae was quickly eliminated.....

I fed them pleco tabs to give them their required nutrition.......

I have 20,000 gallon built in wall. It is currently empty. I had about 60 Discus and angels. 100 Tetras. 15 Pl@co's. I had a horrible accident and so sadly I sat and watched everyone die in agony. My well is 12.3PH. need 6.5PH. Had machine dosing sulpheric acid lowering PH. One night Machine jammed and dumped 40 pounds of acid in all at once. It was very tragic to see their agony. Plus I lost $50,000 of fish. I lost all my rabbits to old age too. I plan to get more fish and rabbits not sure when though. I am enjoying less work but lazy sucks. Well, I am by no means lazy work my ass off still. I have 9 wild cats in home and a Turkey plus 7 Cockatoos. I no longer take care of 300 or so animals outside but I have a staff of 11 including full time vet and vet tech. Funny I pay her more then she could make up here and as far as vets it is not much. I decided to move to very poor area and maximize my money. I am certainly not poor and could have done fine in suburbs but nothing like this. We are very happy here.

Well, damn button sticking again. @MannyScoot would you try alcohol or WD40 as last resort? Piss off the shit of me to send it to Asmodus. I guess their buttons have an issue. One Thor also has bad button. Not stuck but flush with panel so must use fingernail! Shit that pisses me off. Who is with me on $305 Mod is not cheap? This is bullshit. I can only imagine wood select buttons. Other than huge gap in JM Bean Box the wood buttons put me off. At least Ultroner has reinforcement ring around fire button. I do not want to mar the purple plate. Not sure if alcohol would but WD40 may fuck it? I tell him if he damages it whatsoever get me new Mod at least as nice in his opinion. Then I lose money I bet. This one was $30 more for 1/1. Oh I am so upset about this.

Also, @MannyScoot how do you like LUC chargers? I bet you think they are best given that is what you have?
How the heck can you deal with .68A though? What is the purpose of that? Could easily go 1A?

AWW PL@co is so cute. That is more like 10 pounder LOL. Did you grow them or get them that size? Makes me sad. You know you never type the "E", right? Folklore has it if you type the "E" yours will die soon. Maybe just stupid internet shit but take no chances. A tear rolled down my face, I remember mine. They were so nice. Good motivation to set up again. Empty aquarium that big in main living space looks like shit too., I could go salt but looking at a fortune then. I am a stingy miser too LOL. First time my Brother in law saw Discuss he thought it was salt. They were all so nice. Sad.

The plecos were 1" inch when I got them......

You can use WD-40 it helps unstick buttons that are stuck because of e-juice residue and will not hurt the board, And it works but applying a single drop only ....... And give it time press and press and you will feel it loosen up...... Or if it's the button rubbing against the body take her apart and sand the button down to make it fit loose .

Discus is a beautiful fish.... The first time I saw babies was amazing I cried....

The fish recognize you when they see you and act differently with a person they never saw before.

They are like Oscars they wait in the morning swimming quietly and looking outside...... I had a small 30 gallon in my bedroom and as soon as they see you rolling in bed they start swimming fast against the glass to get your attention....... Look like wagging their tails......

Discus are probably the most difficult fish in the world to own, and African Cichlids ..... Discus are sticklers to water quality and specially PH ...... They like low PH since they live-in that South America rain forest, leaf and root canal system....

The Luc v6 is accurate..... Charges exactly 4.20v

It doesn't get hot at all and can charge one pair of batteries at 2.0 amps......

It doesn't charge 21700.....

They fit but man handling them and if you force them in, it might damage the battery wraps or the charger ......

This little guy I love ..... It Charges anything to 4.2v and it's also very accurate......

It starts flashing emergency red lights if you place batteries incorrectly.......

This is odd because I do not concur with everyone. I have four LUCS. The 700 is certainly the largest battery. However it goes right in. Do not need to press on it or anything. This may be because I let it snap back thousands of times loosening it's guts. Don't know but it fits fine in mine. no way it is going to rip wrapper because I have about .3-4mm left there.

I saw that nitecore. Asshole wanted $59. Done with Tobacco houses.

Well Manny I am not sure why I cried so bad earlier. I guess it was a combination of aquarium accident and lost my favorite cat 3 years ago. The aquarium was so sad. They felt agony like Humans I truly believe. 10 minutes whole tank dead. Reread what happened. It was by no means my fault. It was a mechanical failure. I kept amazon fish Oscars and such for 40 years. You know 1 Oscar needs minimum 120G? The bastards at Walmart sell babies for $10. No mention they will be 3 feet long. I figure average Walmart fish customer has a 10-30G. I only got quality fish from breeder. I had lost 50 grand of fish in ten minutes. very sad.

I had an Oscar that was 48 inches and weight about 25 Lbs..... He was in 400 gallon by himself......

He ate large rats and birds without any problems.......

Also had at one time a 4 foot Arowana in a 400 gallon long tank ...... He was 30 lbs. Plus......

Everyone in this thread interested in stabwood should check out Vapesmarter00 on instagram, or just Vapesmarter on the UK forum Planet of the Vapes. Hes the guy doing my custom mod, and he's been great to work with so far. He made the block himself, asked what kind of wood I wanted and the color and all, didn't charge me until after I had approved the block, and even then only wanted half up front until the mod was ready to ship. His work is truly art and at a decent price too. Around $250 for nice stabwood of your choice, regulated or not, squonk or no, chip of your choice, etc.

Also he's been making some cool pipes lately that fit 18350 batteries I think...

I got it. @MannyScoot see other thread about DNA. I had a bad firmware! I got theme you have. Confusing but I dig it. I also got the TCR. Wrecked a $4 coil but I paid half that LOL. Crown IV is much nicer than Falcon, Freemax IMO. I just need to get this set to 90W. It seems Google removed all posts regarding that. Dangerous perhaps? LUC is best IMO. The 21700 fit fine in mine but that is the biggest. Wish someone made Stabwood 250C! I like pipes too.

I did not like everyone in other thread because too many posts before I posted again. I did not want to favor anyone(Manny) LOL.

Manny your good Mods are "better" Mods due to your TLC. I am glad ThorII is coated. Although I got juice on fire button. Instead of Stabwood it is just solid purple now. Figure I can sand it? Obviously button was not coated too. Even Crown IV. leaks! Must just be me. Every tank I ever had leaked like crap. That to me is only part of this that sucks. Since it has ruined many Mods of mine When I took off Crown III noticed juice dangerously close to USB port! Get juice in USB port board dead.

Crown IV coils take forever to break in so hope last as long as Crown III. Those last me 2 months! That is unheard of. Oh wait. Wrong setting. It is broken in. That theme is confusing. I know it is a lot but is there any way you can explain it to me, Manny? If too long I understand.

I got it. @MannyScoot see other thread about DNA. I had a bad firmware! I got theme you have. Confusing but I dig it. I also got the TCR. Wrecked a $4 coil but I paid half that LOL. If the mod is shinny and beautiful, leave her alone..... I have seen a nice DNA 250 here :https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/323573321386

The theme doesn't need explanation...... Follow what it tells you...... It's got a main screen....hit the middle button and use the left button to scroll around from TC to Wattage and so on...... And from there go to replay and middle button on.....
