thanks, lucy.

does anyone know the cappella flavors?
i have to order a large bottle of peppermint, so
i wonder what flavors i should get to pair with what i have.
some kinda cream, maybe.
i have a pint jar full of base to mess with.

since 1 flavor works, maybe i can go as far as adding 2 flavors.
the peppermint is gonna save me a bundle.
i can vape it til dinner, half the day.
by the way, peaches n cream v2 smells nasty.

Join the ELR site that goes with the link to that calculator I posted above - there are tons of recipes on there, and even a feature that lets you save what flavors you have and finds you recipes you can make with what you have

Before you buy anything more to make a recipe from there, look for ones that have lots of good ratings

As it is open for anyone in the public, there are both wonderful and terrible recipes posted

If you like chocolate vapes, a mix of white and dark chocolate is great with peppermint.

Almost any kind of mixed berry is good with peppermint. Grape is good too.

I haven't bought any of them, but have heard others say that many of Cap's V2 flavors are nasty. They reformulated a bunch of their flavors to take diketones out, if I am not mistaken.

This is a much better site for mixing and the calculator is very easy to use http://e-liquid-recipes.com/create

EDIT: Am assuming you are working from a computer and not a phone
Elr isn't too bad from a phone. My phone is my computer these days. Can't get my kids to work enough to earn the $ to buy a new one after both of them collectively broke the laptop. Wait. Even if they earn the money it's me paying them. Lol

TFA Pralines and Cream is a good single flavor, and it is potent. Actually might be really good with a bit of peach added to it.

An equal parts mix of Cap Banana Split and Cap Chocolate Fudge Brownie is super good.

I really like citrus flavors, so another one I'd try as a single flavor is Flavor West Hawaiian Limeade.

You might want to think about basic flavors that you can do a lot with to mix with other flavors, like the following:

Lorann Cream Cheese Icing
Flavor West Yellow Cake
Capella Sugar Cookie
Inawera Shortbread
TFA Vanilla Swirl
TFA Bavarian Cream
Flavour Art Custard
Capella Vanilla Custard V1
Capella Super Sweet
Flavour Art Marshmallow (an excellent sweetener, adds body and mouthfeel to fruits)
Hangsen French Vanilla Ice Cream
Capella Glazed Donut
TFA Rainbow Drops or Tutti-Frutti (not a basic, but great standalone)

When you have basics, you pick out fruits, candies, gum, or spices that you want to combine, all of a sudden you've got tons of options.

I've never bought V2 at all. Not crazy about Capella V1 Custard, or any custard except FA, frankly, but that's peculiar to me. Cap VCV1 is in a ton of recipes and people use it like mad.

I think you'll get good use out of those Capella flavors.

Note that the Capella Custard needs to steep. It is downright gross when it's fresh. Needs probably 2 weeks to get right, and gets even better with longer steep time up to about six weeks.

Just off the top of my head, once you add those Cap flavors, you can make

chocolate mint cookies, blueberry glazed donuts, chocolate glazed donuts, butter cookies, and if you add the Cap Banana Split and Choc Fudge Brownie, you can clone VapeWild's Brownie Batter Banana Split. Sounds like a great start to me, along with what you've already mixed.

great. i'll get them all.
i don't taste much from any purchased juice.
the peppermint i made is thhe first juice i really taste.
more like menthol than mint, but it's nice to taste something.
the peach has a bit of an off taste but i can taste peach.
i just need more flavors than others.
i really started this to make unflavored, since i thot i couldn't taste anything anyway.
tasting juice is fun.

Also Vanilla whipped Cream (CAP)
And if you like cinnamon rolls the CAP Cinnamon Danish swirl. With some Vanilla whipped Cream and Vanilla Custard V1.
Cap Apple Pie V1 with some Double apple and some Vanilla Custard V1.

CAP is my goto flavoring.
Get too much chemical taste and such from most of the other brands.

That is part of the beauty of DIY - you can tailor it to what you like and not anyone else

It's also so much less expensive

Even with the money you spend on supplies, it's a LOT less expensive. You won't always be buying flavors like a house on fire. That settles down with most of us after a while. Except for @wildgypsy70 and @88ArDeN88 . :)

It will get less expensive after your learning curve.
Much less expensive. Costs me under $2 to make a 120 ml bottle of juice.

@susieqz Most if not all of the major flavor vendors carry Capella, you don't need to buy direct from them. Most folks buy small bottles to start until they find the flavors they like.

www.bullcityflavors.com use code VU6 for 6% off. Free shipping with $75 order or maybe $70. All around great bunch of folks there and my favorite flavor shop. Our very own @wllmc and @Roundhouse work there as well.
www.ecigexpress.com use code UNDERGROUND10 to get 10% off. Free shipping with a $50 order I think
Nicotine River carries CAP. They don't have a permanent code, but you get free shipping with a $50 order.

Welcome to the rabbit/gopher hole of DIY.:giggle:

I get the little bottles first, then get bigger if I like em.
the 13 ml bottles are cheap.
I get CAP Vanilla Custard V1 and Vanilla whipped cream in 4 oz bottles now.
You flavor likes will vary from mine though so start small and work up.
a few you will likely go yuch and toss.

you know. if i knew that i could get capella flavors at other places,
i could have picked up some of those recommended flavors from other
makers.
mostly, i don't wanna pay $20 for fed ex delivery.
regular mail would be fine.
that vanilla custard n whipped cream sounded so good i ordered 4 oz bottles.
they sound like i can use the high amounts i need to taste anything.

If I could suggest something it would be, don't limit yourself to one flavor company. The sites above make it easy to sample flavors from a lot of different companies. Ordering direct can get spendy on shipping.

Peppermint... I vape a peppermint recipe sometimes. I'll post it below if you are interested.

TFA- Pear 5%
TFA- Bavarian Cream 5%
TFA-Peppermint 1%

It's really nice tasting and cheap/easy to make.
