Bargain alert: Voopoo VMate 200W on sale at Breazy for $23.99

This is a terrific regulated mod IF you can get accustomed to the location of the fire button.

I've had one for six months or so and it is one of my favorite regulated non-squonking mods. SS TC actually works, too.

Reposting this here for anyone who might be operating on a tight budget (like me):

Placed my second order with strikesusa.com; this time got a Geekvape Nova mod ($23.85) and an iJoy Captain Elite RTA ($11.25), shipped for $41.63 total. Coupon code STRIKESWEEK10 took an extra 10% off the sale prices. That is a helluva deal.

ETA: They had the GV Nova kit (with Cerberus tank) for $28.50 (minus 10%), but I did not want the tank. Just fyi.

Man I really like the geekvape Nova box mod. It's real spiffy looking and has the same chipset as the Aegis Legend. Yeah that's a great deal unfortunately at the moment I can't even come up with 25 bucks. Good luck with that expect you to let us know how it works out.

Since we are talking good deals ejuices.com has the IPV V3 mini auto-squonker for $41usd. They also have the 2-pack of ADA’s for $6 which is nicely priced as well. This is a wonderful little device that I’ve been loving lately, excellent flavor, battery life, and portability. Throw it in your pocket and forget it, weighs nothing, leaks nothing. Oh by the way I ordered some ADA’s from here last week and received them in two days. Here’s a link: https://www.ejuices.com/products/ipv-v3-mini-auto-squonking-kit

Another deal at strikesusa.com

I know when folks hear iJoy in relation to squonking they make an unpleasant noise. I went ahead and ordered this because the kit didn't cost much more than I would have paid for the two 20700 batteries that were included.

iJoy Capo 216 kit, including batteries, for $34.50. Use code STRIKESWEEK10 for another 10% off, shipping is $6.53, total $37.58 for a dual-20700 regulated squonk mod with a slightly odd but good-vaping SRDA with pre-installed coils rated at 0.21 ohms. Rewickable, but probably not completely rebuildable. It's sorta like the Geekvape Eagle - they sell the replacement decks that are pre-built.

Anyway, mine has done very, very well in the couple of weeks I've had it.

Colors available are gold (really more of a very slightly sparkly light taupe color), white, bright ass orange, and bright ass green.

And they have Sezzle as an available payment option, so if you're strapped for cash, you can pay in four payments with no interest. Just read up on it a little. It's legit - I use it all the time.

So far, so good with the Nova. I've been running it in wattage mod with an Intake RTA at about 35 watts. Battery life has been exceptional.

I did test the TC and it does work fine. It's a little noisy, but so are the other mods I've used that have TC (all non-DNA for now) except the Detonators.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Nova. My son has had one for a year or so now and it still works and looks brand new.

Not sure it'll fly too many people's kites but cheapvaping deals has a lot of smok mods for cheap recently posted. The t-storm, majesty, a-priv, d-barrel all for around $20 (plus ship). The morph for $30. There's other stuff too but the recent ones are mostly looking to be smok stuff and the alien I own isn't terrible. Not the best mod but hell I paid around $42 for it so for $20 mods, eh. Might be worthwhile for a beater or backup or something.

To me that's solid information and thank you. Everyone can use a good beater mod nobody wants to take their best out. I had an alien 85. I gave it to a buddy who used it to quit smokes. And he gave it to his sister who has cut down tremendously and it's down to only a few smokes today. To the best of my knowledge is that mod has been 3 years since its entered my possession and I got it used. And as far as I know it's still working.

I got a Geekvape Nova in silver with cobalt resin last Friday and really like it.

The only thing I noticed is the SS TC mode is for SS304, not SS316. It's no big deal, though. I simply used TCR mode and set the proper value 092 for SS316, since that's the coil material I'm using.

I grabbed one myself over the weekend, 8 Vape had the Nova kit with the Cerberus tank for $18.00, the tank alone is worth that. How is the Nova performing in TC for you?

I like the way you said the Alien isn’t terrible! lol I wonder if Smok realizes that they are a byword for crappy quality etc. What’s a beater, btw? Like a throwaway mod?

Wow, that’s a great price. I thought about getting one but I held back since I think it’s dual battery. The Legend I have is just too big for me, so I got a Solo instead. Was it only a holiday sale? They look nice, though!

Here's some "regular stuff" I like a lot!

Recurve and a Nudge:

And here's Coppervapes with Gorge RDAs. Yes, the driptip on the left is glow-in-the-dark, lol.

Do you ever have problems with firing on your CVs? Sometimes I press the button on mine and it doesn't fire. I have adjusted the screw underneath the button just a little, tried tightening the battery cap just a little, tried pushing the button from one side or the other instead of in the middle. Most times I can get it to fire if I fiddle with it, but it is driving me crazy that it's being so unreliable.

Battery I'm using is a Samsung 25R. I have tried an LG Brownie and that was worse. Samsung 20S was about the same.

Also would love suggestions from @JuicyLucy and @MyMagicMist and @gadget!

I have had that happen a LITTLE - like occasionally, and haven't solved the exact cause either.

All I can suggest is to check for the unusual contact points that may need cleaning on the Coppervape - like checking that the bottle is screwed in snug, that the contact area above the bottle is relatively OK (I've got some corrosion there), that the battery cap is screwed snug, and the battery cap threads are de-oxidized. That last was a surprise - the first time I cleaned those, with a little deoxit, it came off black and fired noticeably better afterwards...

I would check everything @Train mentioned.
Also, try a different RDA on it, one that has a slightly longer 510 pin on it, if it works then that is your problem.
I had the same issue with one I had and I googled it an found an article that referred to a small o-ring in the parts bag. The article suggested taking the 510 part out of the device and putting that small o-ring on it then put it back together. This will effectively raise the 510 pin in the mod. That solved my issue.

Good luck

C'mon you bargain hunters! Post some stuff!

I came here to remind you about 10% off at FT for the next few days, their Labor Day Sale.
I just bought a tesla 86W steampunk at Central vapes. I found a coupon code for 25% off Sale4me and free shipping over 50 bucks. I don't know if the coupon code will work for everything but it worked for the Tesla.

Tried tested and true. Great idea for a thread!

I have had this for two years. This thing has been through hell and back.

My Eleaf Ikonn 220. I have a mini berserker on it.

That is the new addition to my work vape. No glass tank to worry about. Pretty reliable and very durable.

If I ever go out. This is the vape of choice. It has never failed me

I’m vaping salts on a Vaporesso Target Pro, which surprised me by being a really well built, solid mod. I put a Naut Mini on it and at @20w, the battery lasts for days and it’s a nice MTL vape.

I have one of those Berserker Minis, have had for about a year now, and I enjoy it a lot when I'm in the mood for MTL. The flavor is super good. Oddly enough, last time I rewicked it, I had a helluva time getting it right. It kept giving me dry hits! Had to thin the wick ends out so much I figured it was going to leak all over the place, but it hasn't.

Must have just been lucky the times I wicked it before, either that or I just wasn't paying attention. I replaced the coil this last time, too, so the problem probably was just that the smaller coil used so much less cotton.

I usually use a 2.5 mm ID and 5.5 wraps with mine. With cotton bacon prime. Seems to be a great combination.

I love the fact the tank has an aluminum tank. Working in a shop environment where it can be proned to oopses . This was the reason for this tank. I am a big fan of the berserker tank. Flavour flavour flavour. Also the smaller footprint reminded me of a nautilus 2 mtl.

The juice capacity will last a whole work day.

Are there vapers who DON'T vape in the dark?

I do. I just wasn’t sure if people vape in the middle of the night like I do, though. It’s like wake n vape!
I’m finally used to vaping all the time instead of smoking. But I’ve been off smokes for over 4 months now!

@Train and @gadget! I think I've figured it out. I was thinking that the problem was that the screw under the firing button was not making proper contact with the top of the battery. I had fiddled with that screw a little, loosened it just a little to see if it would make better contact. What I succeeded in doing (by loosening that screw) was degrading the position of the button itself when you press it to fire. I realized that when I pressed the button repeatedly, it occasionally felt like it was not being pressed down all the way. It was misaligned, basically.

I got a screwdriver and took the button/screw mechanism apart and cleaned everything, then put it back together and made sure the screw was really tight. Now when I press the button, it moves smoothly and fires nearly every time. A couple of times it has not fired, I have rotated the button (off and back to on) and that fixes the problem.

I probably need to replace the firing button. Pressing it all the times I did when it wasn't perfectly aligned may have worn the edges of the button just enough to allow it to not align perfectly every time. But this is much better than it was.

Thanks for your help!

Yea a beater could be anything, just in general.. inexpensive, semi disposable. Not fancy stuff you'd get mad if it broke. Like a cheap pair of sunglasses for a camping trip, if you lose those out hiking or on a river trip, better to lose a $10-15 pair of cheapos than a $200 pair of oakleys. Kind of the opposite of 'carpet queens', mods people only use in the house, set on tables, don't take outside and set on the ground, sidewalk or whatever to protect from scratches or drops.

I don't think smok are the worst thing to ever happen. They do release a lot of products that all virtually seem the same mod just with a different body. Pros and cons I'm sure. I think their tc is lacking but a lot of people don't use tc so it's a non issue for most. I try to be easy with any mod, I don't care who makes it. They're almost all slapped together in china, use a bit of glue or small screws to hold a 510 into the mod. They can't take torquing down a tank real tight. Mods are delicate, they can ding, chip, dent, crack or come apart inside from drops. Some are tougher like the aegis, but in all seriousness they're not indestructible. People need to be careful with them like a drinking glass, you drop it and it's liable to break.

I can bitch the paint came off my mod, the paint's come off every mod I've owned. Vaporesso, eleaf, pioneer 4 u, wismec.. doesn't matter. I got over 100k puffs off my alien, it still charges fine and charges balanced so fine in a pinch when I don't have my external charger (which I use 99% of the time). For $40 something, I feel like I got my money's worth out of it. I don't expect inexpensive mods to last years and years, hell I don't expect anything to these days. Stuff isn't built like it used to be. Through the 80's and 90's when I had walkman's, I had stuff from aiwa, panasonic, whatever. I went through probably 3 or 4 of them and I took pretty good care of them. They weren't 'junk'. But I also had a small transistor radio from like the 70's. Took a 9v battery and only did am/fm.. ugly as sin, but it worked and kept working for decades.
