There are a few things i want, but man i'm tired of dropping hundreds of dollars. I threw $112 at a BX9 waffle last week and came up empty. So i'm trying to hold off on the spending.

Ouch, that's rough. I don't play much for raffles for that very reason. Unless I can afford to buy half the spots or more I usually don't bother. Or one spot for like $10 because that won't make me any richer or poorer

I have never attempted one raffle on FB for vape gear... even when I have some disposable income I would look at the $20 here or the $30 there spent on a raffle and compare it to buying enough Nic for a year, or buying those flavorings to try a new recipe.

I may not seem frugal, but I am...

Example... I bought some shit cotton a while back... I mean, I wouldn't even give it away its that bad... I'm vaping it...cause I am to cheap to spend $15+ shipping on the shit I like. And this cotton sucks for the first tank... its like vaping shit, with a side of shit, with shit sprinkles washing it down with a shit-shake and then popping a shit mint afterwards lol

Hey xeta dudes, how low can you run your tank with those dumb side wicking holes?
Pretty much dry. Doesn't seem to make much sense but it works. Haku posted something about the gap between the bottom of the bridge and boro creating a reverse vacuum but that makes even less sense than no sense....
Somehow it keeps a flow up juice up to the wick or general motion moves it around, probably the latter but I seem increasingly closer to Forest Gump than an engineer everyday.
Can't seem to find the post ATM

Mine will run damn near dry with a little residual left in the bottom of the tank.

I recently saw a method where you position the wicks up against the Boro glass and backside of the tank and that causes the liquid to be channeled up to the wicks better.

I'm going to try it out the next time I rewick, but I worry that it will push the wick up, creating a space in the wicking port, and flood my shit haha. I use a 2mm coil so there isn't a lot of wick running through mine, even with those little grub screws to close the gaps off a bit.

Saw the same but I think you have to remove the screws to keep them off the glass. If I remember correctly, again...Forest Gump syndrome....

A lot of what is said in Haku is false and damage control.

If it was truly a design implementation and supposed to do as said, it would of been mentioned on the roll out...not after... after is always damage control.

Just my two cents ;)

Even being unaware of their history I don't doubt that one bit. Seems a little goofy over there.

Hi all!
I want to buy SXK BB to try this out. But I'm not sure which RBA to buy. Any help?
Also, how this device performs in terms of flavour? I have Entheon/Citadel/Hadaly/KayfunLite2019/Zephyrus3 rdas/rtas. Anything to compare?
And which coils do you use? Some fused claptons or simple wire? On which wattage?

YO!

DO IT

But I'm not sure which RBA to buy. Any help?
Sure, I'd get the Xeta, there is a clone of this out there...

Also, how this device performs in terms of flavour?
device is the power unit, its all in the RBA you chose and your coiling and wicking capabilities

I have Entheon/Citadel/Hadaly/KayfunLite2019/Zephyrus3 rdas/rtas. Anything to compare?
Apples and Oranges... different beasts...but as mentioned from other members, Xeta is the one to get.

Any truly, simple wires works, simple claptons, have to remember its a small RBA not a full sized RDA or RTA, build accordingly.

Now I had a long ass reply on how there is some good reading within this thread, and I know 139 pages is daunting, no one WANTS to do that type of investment... but there is some good reading and info shared from many of us here... if you're serious about getting a BB, whenever you take a shit, just read a page or two of replies.

But I will say... the BilletBox is a Niche market, but its not an RDA in the sense of simplicity to those that haven't dabbled in it... and can become a money pit and fast if you're chasing the ever false, "Unicorn of all vaping blah blah flavor" there isn't anything that does that... why you ask? Flavor is a preference from individual to individual... I think the BB sort of sucks... its a brick...takes a lot of real estate in my pocket... and the initial investment is more than finding a kick ass RTA and slapping a $25 mod on it and having better performance...BUT... that is just my opinion... others can point out the upsides which are 100% true...even if for me they aren't... Preference.

Anyway... Good luck, hi5, kick ass and all that other Friday Shenanigans

I haven't had mine that long, but for me there's a ..."cool toy" factor about the Billet Box. It's cool. I don't mean cool as in other people see you as cool for having one, but cool to play with. ENDLESSLY.

It's uniquely cool in it's sprawling versatility.. That doesn't necessarily mean coolER than every other piece of gear I have, but it is cool in ways that no other setup is.

Oh yeah. I can get a good vape out of it too

That's the short non-technical version.

I like mine alot and foresee a long future ahead.

Just keep in mind that pure silver is very soft ans sterling will tarnish. Actually, pure silver oxidizes too, but much slower and silver oxide is a good conductor (though you don't need that property of it). I would much rather use argentium, it is harder and tarnishes very slowly.

i had not even thougth of that. the main reason i thought of silver, i have a few silver coins and me thinks it would be prett easy to make one.

real gold would be bitch'n, but costly.

I'm not sure if silver coins are pure (as in 99.9 %) silver or sterling, I believe they are about 90% or so silver which makes them a bit lower in silver content than sterling (92.5 %) silver.

so, you think those would tarnish less ?
Given the other metals in the alloy composition, it is a coin toss. Usually sterling silver has copper in its composition and that causes the tarnish, along with the silver. Coins most likely will have zinc, nickel and possibly chromium in the alloy to make them more ware resistant so they would tarnish slower.

i just thouth about it. if the coins tarnished, the ones i have would be junk by now. maybe i will give it a try.

but i am going to keep an eye out for a solid gold piece, not a coin. like a piece of jewelry. don't hold your breath.

I wouldn’t use any silver due to the oxidation it would give off, especially on the switch.

Polished titanium or stainless sure, even flamed titanium would look cool on RPGs or BX9s

It's really amazing how bad it's all getting.

On a more positive note, I finally sold those panels and ordered my second Xeta. But going along with your stupidity theme, let's hope it doesn't take the extended scenic route like last time

Xeta update: the cotton got a bit more volume in it from sitting in the juice, draw is tighter, just the way I like it. The Pasito rba got a new 28g 3.0 mm coil (could be 2.5) really close to the deck with a fistful of cotton. Good mtl draw for me.

Glad you got on with it! Any trouble fitting it into the Boro? Some folks are blowing up the Haku group about the tolerance being off. I use SXK boros and I had no issues.
Oh the irony!

No problems, it is a bit of a tight fit tho. But if you still want to trade that GTR for the Xeta. ....:sneaka::vino:

Wait, what? Thought it was too tight. Did you change up insert and chimney?

It's annoying how hard it is to fit, have tried both...should not be that hard.

Agreed. I did a push and twist sort of thing to get it seated. I've done that with a almost every piece of vape gear I own lol

I am suffering from Goldilocks syndrome ,you know....At first it was too tight, then not tight enough, (ok you dirty minded...., get your minds out of the gutter ) now it is just right. Pretty much the same story with the Pasito rba, I just had to take a bit of time (which I don't have ) to try different coils heights from the deck (was gonna say positions) to get it to work the way I wanted .

Glad you mentioned some twist, didn't have so much trouble the first time, I think I seated the base and then pushed down the chimney down. Last build had a hell of time.

If I had to wager why the Xeta may fit tight... I would bet its the coating.

Just like with Titanium finished knives... my CRKs feel thicker when they were new... once the finish wears a tad and some character was added, it felt slimmer and not as aggressive in the hand.

It's a mistake many manufactures make in many fields... not taking the coating in consideration for tolerances.

Of course, now we have an MTL kit for Xeta....make more money shipping.

Glad I got on well with what I have already because fuck that. Same with the stoopid clear chamber.

Btw, everyone aware they'll be getting new, stronger positive post for free? I highly doubt they won't charge shipping, but I guess we'll see.
