Samsung 30t battery life

I have multiple Samsung 30ts. Bought a charger off 18650battery.com. I can use the Samsung 30t all day. Literally 24 hours of vaping a decent amount on a .18ohm build and when i go to charge it, the charger says it's still at 70% or more. Is this right? Seems like it should definitely be lower and, being i use mechs, it feels like they are lower. Is my charger messed up?

It’s impossible for us to say. You need to check it against other sources, like a mod, a volt meter. As many as possible until your confident where you cell is. I don’t know much about mechs so I can’t speak to that but hopefully you have some regulated mods or a volt meter to get more information.

It's too early and I drank a bit too much last night. Never even thought about the volt meter. I'm dumb my apologies

Do you have a regulated mod you can throw one in to see what it shows the battery life at, what's the make of the charger?

I get about 7 hours out of my 30T's, but then we all vape different. Lately I've been really liking the Sony VTC6A 21700's, 4100mah.

I also have an 8 bay gyrflalcon charger that is very accurate. My question would be how long 70% to full takes on yours and is it 1A charging?

Go with your gut, as a mech user you know when your battery is getting low.

How many ml of juice are you vaping in 24 hours?

I figured it out. I read the instructions on my charger wrong... some days I wonder about myself. It was at 30-50% not 70-90%...
I usually vape, using an rta, 8mls give or take. Using a squonk I use 10+

A 30q should be good for around 8-15 ml per charge. Depending on your vape style and age of the battery.

Also on the charger I have it has 0.5 amp, 1 amp, 2 amp charging. Which is best?
I would either use the .5 or 1 amp. 2 amp charge rate is pushing a 30Q and will shorten their life.
The lower the charge rate the longer your battery life will be.
I would personally use the .5 rate unless charging time is an issue.
The lower the charge rate the longer the charge time.

When my 30Q's were new I got about 15 ml per charge in a Wasp nano Pico squeeze combo.
They are now a couple of years old or more and it is more like 12 ml now per charge.

My bad it was 30T not 30Q.
However with all li cells faster charge will shorten life of cells somewhat.
This per Mooch.

Got the slower charge rate vs life of battery from moochs vids.
Well that and my training and experience on power systems.

well that spells out the details on max life charge rate. And shows relationship between shorter life and higher charge rates.
I was off .25 amp from off the top of my head.

good chart.

for $8 a cell.. I will charge mine at 1.5a probably all the time... unless I am charging 4 up at once, then I am limited to 1A

.18Ω is 23.33a or 66%... so just imagine that you get 33% more cycles or 332 cycles then... (generic figuring) and we short cycle batteries in mechs being we generally don't go to the 2.5v full discharge... which in a guess would bring the total cycle life to around 470, or if a battery a day 1yr4months

We can afford $8 every 16 months, or $0.50 a month than worrying about charging at the low rate of .750... when we can guess this will only give you maybe another 2 months (No idea really... didn't see where Mooch may of said how much of a gain it would be slow charging... just said more)

If I only had 2 batteries, I'd for sure always be charging at the higher rate...the double wait time would be agonizing... but if you have multiples (4+)... yeah I can say without a doubt, no real reason to charge at the higher rate... unless you are overly excited to see a battery charge or worried of a catastrophic event while charging... and even in that event... do you want to be close to the charger lol

I am a very rarely in a hurry to get my battery is charged as I keep a few sets. I always charge .5 amps unless I have been lazy and my other batteries need charging as well. It is my understanding that this will increase battery life. So although replacement cost is minimal why be wasteful?

there is nothing wrong with charging at .5... never said there was... just what I would charge at... opinion... just as .5 is of yours.

But there is no benefit of charging at .5 with the 30T opposed to .75... just loss of time.

Being the OP's charger doesn't have .750... given the info above per Mooch... its obvious for longevity which he should use... since he asked the proverbial, "Which is best" But... some need to be told, rather than extrapolate it from the product data sheet. Which Dogman and yourself did... I just showed the alternatives.

As for being wasteful...I am glad you read the whole reply I had, but I am not being wasteful if I am using them in the Standard Rate of Charge...but that is my opinion, just as babying them at .5 is yours, granted you're talking about 30Ts and not some other battery/batteries, weren't clear... but I digress.

I'd still like to know this increase in lifespan mooch says is, even a rough estimate.

It's similar to reading, "50% more" ... ok of what though? ;) 50% more of 0 is well (just my sarcasm there lol) ...
