The WCP is pretty great, but it seems like the LB Peppermint is upsetting my tummy. After mixing a 50ml and vaping it for a few days, my stomach wasn’t happy at all! But it tastes delicious. I’ll have to try a different mint. Maybe ECX Minty Menthol. Or whatever the brand is.

Edit: I mixed a double Peppermint WCP. Yummy. But =blech tum for me.
Maybe switch off with something else? Peppermint overload?

I think it just might be the LB Peppermint itself! I’m going to try FW Candy Cane and see if I can take it. Or another brand of Peppermint maybe?
I’m bummed because the mix was very yummy. VR made me some Peppermint Cream and it didn’t bother me. Maybe the WCP alone is okay, I’ll try it and see. Yep, I’m confused and my tummy is upset.

I mixed a 60ML of American Gold Tobacco with Double Fresh Cream. Then I ordered a couple of Gallons of bases and Nicotine plus a 500 ML of Tobacco because Liquid Barn has 40% off for Black Friday.
Great deal! I’ve never shopped with them how are their shipping prices?

Maybe he can order straight from them, but it seems OTT to ban flavors outright. Really interesting times now, to quote the Chinese.

I love the "interesting times" saying/curse. Not to say I love a curse, of course, but it's just so apt. "May you live in interesting times".

On a lighter note, I keep a fortune cookie message in my wallet which says "You are almost there". :)

What is OTT? Whatever it is, I'm guessing I agree. This FOOD flavoring ban is so over the line; it is full-on targeted persecution of a minority. I don't care what douches some people may think we vapers are--and you know there are a lot of judgmental people out there. The flavor ban is simply beyond the pale.

And obviously--I know I don't even have to say this to you guys, but because we live in this MF'ing carnivalesque world now, the fact that cigarettes are still available on every street corner brings shame to all of us.

I stayed awake worrying about bans and Deeming the other night, and what the possible outcomes might be.

It seems like flavor bans and Deeming are a well thought out two pronged attack. The flavor bans attack our access to juice, the very liquids we need to vape with. Deeming attacks the hardware, the mods we use to vaporize those liquids. Either way, the vaping industry takes a big hit. Plus how many people will go back to smoking?

And yep, these are those interesting times. We’re being told it’s safer to smoke than to vape, but only here in the US is that the party line! They’re outright lying about that and the kids getting sick from tainted carts.

It *is*disgusting that cigs are available everywhere. And you’re banned from buying vape gear in your state, so that you can stay off cigarettes.
If we smoke, we pay tobacco tax. If we get sick from smoking, we get prescribed meds. BT and BP profit from that. They don’t profit from us vaping!

Edit: the bans are OTT.

Which tobacco and cream did you use?

The Double Cream is a DIY Mood Mix of my own. Liquid Barn only has 3 Tobacco Flavors now so I got Tobacco and Vanilla Cream Tobacco. The Tobacco is hints of Berries and Clove. That was a 500ML purchase.

Those are the ones I have from LB. I like the VCT a lot. I mix it with the Kings Custard one shot from them, and it’s great.
I also just mixed Crom’s Custard and mixed some of the regular tobacco into it. It’s good in that, and it doesn’t seem to need a long steep.
Im not sure I got a 40% discount, but I needed what I bought so it doesn’t really matter.
I just looked at 8Vape and my coils are @$9. It’s not bad but if it’s not free shipping, it’s meh.

Edit: 500ml? I thought getting 180ml of my one shot was a lot! Lol

The 40% Off was 24 hours on Black Friday only as far as I know. Next time let me know I have discount codes that they send me.

Thanks, I will. I like their flavors, so I got a 10 flavor sample pack this time. Plus about 10 short fills of 50ml 3mg Base. Ha, I just realized that’s 500ml. It just feels easier to deal with in separate bottles!

I work with 500ML Bottles that come from LB. Screw Top dispensing caps and a 10ML Graduated cylinder. The only time I use a syringe is when I only need an ML or so but it is a 10ML Syringe.

Right now I just use their pre mixed 3mg/50mls and all I have to do is add flavors, so it takes me a minute or so to mix. The bottles have % marks on the label, it’s great. I love these, they got me into mixing really fast. But I still bought 100mg nic and some 48mg salts. I still want to get another liter or two of nic from Vapers Tek, though.

I used a syringe the first time a few nights ago to mix the Crom’s Custard. Worked out fine. I had to adapt the recipe for 50ml, but it worked out.

I never used them and I get so anal that if add Nic to a Zero I measure the amount I extract precisely and then add just enough to it to make a small 3MG. When I started DIY they didn't even have short fills.

I can relate to people not getting why I'm so upset about the flavor bans/deeming stuff, but isn't it mostly people who are either continuing to smoke or else those who believe the crappy vaping propaganda who are judgmental?

I say shrug it off, if at all possible. I know it's not always possible to care about only reasonable, rational or even sympathetic people, so the aforementioned command may seem glib... But seriously.

I finally realized that OTT means the same thing as "beyond the pale"--at least I think. Out of bounds, unimaginable, crazy-making, persecutory (if that's a word). Mind-blowingly reactive.

And Bunny, you're one of those who seems to actually do the research--as in teaching yourself to rebuild factory coils! Almost nobody does that these days. Even if you lay awake a few nights--hell, it's warranted. The fact that you're pursuing real solutions is to your credit.

Someone here doesn't get why you're so upset? I can't quite wrap my mind around that - I'd think we all know why you're upset, and if we were in your position, we'd be damn upset, too.

I think OTT is "over the top," so your conclusion is correct. Excessive, to various degrees.

@nadalama I was responding to what Bunny said about people thinking shes "weird" or something for worrying about this stuff, but it's only people in my real life who have failed to be supportive. I have one very old and treasured (and thoughtful, liberal, smart) friend who tells me that I should go back to smoking because it is safer. Still blowing my mind & putting a strain on our relationship, sadly. But it says something about the effectiveness of the national propaganda effort.

In any case, everyone here has been wonderful -- OTT awesome :)

I agree ...
For i find nothing wrong with OVER DA TOP...
GREATEST THINGS achived were once concidered over da top..
da day after.. turkey.jpg
take dis 20 pound turkey for example...
may seem over da top for two.. YET
if ya ponder da perplexitys ya find ya can have ROAST turkey one day.
and den with whats left
turkey brooth soup.jpg
turkey wild rice soup and even with the left over gravy and Bird...
turkey ala king freezer.jpg
TURKEY ala King.. yum yum...
and ya see how dat pd 20 pound bird for 2 can be made not so Over da top..
yet make a LOT more sence.. all dem meals for 2 out of 1 bird.

its all just how ya look at what ya can make out of what is in front of you...

I am way behind all of you on soup, etc., but love seeing what you guys do with leftovers.

I'm thinking barley will feature in our soup. Still got half of a 20-pounder on the bones in the fridge, plus several tupperware full of side dishes and gravy. After the big push of TG dinner it's hard to get moving on dealing with the leftovers. I figure we're OK for a day or two more of eating sandwiches and procrastination, though. Then comes the second-wave of turkey.

Bans aside, what’ve you been mixing?

It’s funny that you said that about your friend’s attitude toward vaping. Someone got in touch lately after a few years, and I told them I’d quit smoking with vaping. There was silence for a fairly long minute. And before they could say anything, I told them to go to Reason.org and read their stuff about vaping. Then I mentioned the kids and counterfeit carts for non nic vapes, and they dropped it. I wasn’t in the mood to be educational, though. It sucks!!

I know what you mean about having to be in the right state of mind for political conversations. I really do. Sign of getting old. And it so severely sucks that people are actually encouraging others to smoke over vaping.

re mixing: I came really close to getting inspired tonight to mix some new ideas, but dinner happened and I didn't get to it. Now I'm sleepy... that's how it goes for me lately. a bit demoralized, if i'm honest, just been making simple, no risk, fruit blends, mostly. Oh--here is one nice one I made sort of by accident and which I'm vaping now. I had some pre-mixed Cap VCV1 i wanted to reduce the nicotine on, so I added VG and a few other things, and after a steep of about 10 days, it started tasting really great. I reworked it into recipe format and here it is--if you like a very rich, buttery kind of thing.

3.5% cap vanilla custard
0.75% WF SC Coconut Custard
0.25% MB Butter My Biscuit
2% FW Butterscotch Ripple
2% FW Creamy Sponge Cake
1% tfa caramel [or use another, possibly safer caramel if you like; FA is good and FW Salted Caramel is closer to the tfa flavor]
0.5 banana cream [you won't taste this in here, probably, but it seems to smooth things out].

Mostly what I taste is creamy, surprisingly buttery, butterscotch custard. There is a slight hint of coconut if you're really looking for it. The MB BMB and FW Creamy sponge cake give it some texture, make it feel like it fills your mouth up in a nice way, I think. It feels like it has a ton of flavoring it, but has only a moderate amount.

I have no good name for it, so let's call it, "coconut custard butterscotch biscuit".

I’m demoralized too! Since all this began with the teens and bans, I’ve been in a weird place emotionally. Having to speak to people who admit they know nothing about vaping, but are still negative because of what they’ve heard on the news, is something I don’t enjoy at all. It’s almost like I forget they believe that vaping is dangerous and smoking is a good option! Thank goodness for the people on VU! Talking to the uninformed about vaping is frustrating and tiring!

On the mixing side of things, have you tried any cheese cakes in any of your custards? I saw Wayne Walker’s Kings Custard recipe and he said that cheese cake is the main ingredient. I love that one shot to the point of buying 180ml of it this weekend! I like Crom’s Custard a lot, but the Kings has a dense mouth feel that I love. (As well as layered flavors that are really nice.)

Your recipe sounds yummy. It’s all flavors that I love. I like rich buttery pastry! I just haven’t indulged in it for a while! :teehee:

Hang in there. But, I think the long haul may be upon us. :bummer:

Has anyone mixed TFA RY4 Double?

It looks great and the reviews are awesome. I figured I’d check here, though.

Seems like @Jinx'd just mixed something up the other day.

I used it in an RY4 for my sister, who said it was so strong she used it at 20% of my RY4 recipe to 80% of store-bought caramel tobacco. Doesn't make sense to me, but there you have it.

I don't think I have ever created one single thing that my sister likes, so there is that. Food, juice, writing, crochet, books, music, television, even frickin COFFEE, she and I just don't see eye to eye, ever.

The recipe I used was TFA Brown Sugar 1%, FA Desert Ship 1.5%, TFA RY4 Double, 4%. Doesn't sound good to me, but I don't vape tobacco.

Could be that it's the Desert Ship that's overwhelmingly strong.

So how confusing and unhelpful was all that? Jeez, don't even listen to me this morning.

try it by itself, first. i have put some blueberry in with it, good. and some butter pecan, also good.

btw. i tried that 10 month steep vanilla cream tobacco LB = strong ! at the 9% that is on the bottle. i thinned it with some VG, better.

10 Months? I once left the Lava Cake for almost that long and is was so strong I couldn't vape it. I never leave anything infuse for that long.

yep. it was one of the first DIY i did. it didn't float my boat, so i moved on. after thinning it, its usable ok. i would like to add something to it so i could use it up. but idk what yet.
