Appreciate your insight! Everything I've seen about it is in comparison to the DotShell and it seems that most people want to put big coils in it for some reason, so the DotShell wins for them. Looks like I don't need to get spendy for once to get the vape I want. If I like the device I'll spring for the RBA. Thanks!

No prob, all just my opinion of course.

Yeah, I could see the shell for room, but doesn't matter to me. For mtl, 99% of the time I am a single wire 26,27, or 28g kanthol. Easy and does the trick for me. I did some small SS claptons, and they were good, but not worth the work.

@R3alJim Shady , have you tried clone 2019's to compare to authentic?
So I had a black 24mm clone from 3F. It wasn't any if the familiar manufacturers but it was really good and it swayed me toward buying an authentic. I don't think you're missing out on much by not having the real deal other than resale value

I almost traded my authentic but I'm glad I decided to keep it. Check out this top cap for a different look and top fill:

These Gas Mods drip tips fit it perfectly too:

I like it for the top fill and use it for certain situations, but it does change the vape, booooo. Same for the bell cap imho. Really wanted that top fill to be the same

OK, so I'm a little 'tarded now (could be the beer and mead mixing in my head) but what are we buying now?
Dvarw still rules for me and the BB are second string. That DotIO thinghy looks interesting.....I need something else to get me away from buying expensive knives.....and @~Don~, please don't say anything, you already got me on the slippery slope!

:giggle: lol. I am probably in the minority and might take shit for it, but the 2019 Kayfun slaughters Dvarw for me............ Good news is a good clone is 10-15 bucks if you want to compare :)

I appreciate the suggestion but I never liked the looks of the 2019 K, besides, I spent too much on Dvarws (top fill is great) so I'll stick with what I have.

Yeah it does give it a much more open chimney, but I don't notice any I'll effects as a result. Bummer for you, though!

The funny part is that I still bottom fill with that cap. No worries with flooding and what not from the air pressure when you seal the cap.

Yeah, I don't use it much mainly because I am fine with the bottom fill. With the extention I only fill one once a day, twice at the most. Plus it gives me s good look at what shape my coil and wick are in :)

Funniest part is I find the flavor to be better with the extention  I also much prefer 24mm to the 22mm.

Lil time you can probably make your own poly door for the boxxer...

Just need the right thickness and just cut and sand the edges.

I’d guess you can get a small sheet from Amazon in the dimensions you need.

Fuck giving McOdiShit a penny even second hand

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah, that is definitely a possibility i have thought of.I have a couple thin poly sheets,so hoping one of them is the right thickness, but if not i may just buy another sheet.Another option i'm thinking of trying,is i have a clone of the V1 Boxxer with some spare glass,i'll probably try and see if i can cut one of the spare glass to the right size.
Haha,i really had no intentions of even getting a Boxxer, but i had the clone sitting around for several months, finally decided to try it,and the flavor is so good on that thing i had to jump on the V2 haha.

Guys..I need your help.

Since I got my BB I noticed that there is a funny smell (a faint smell as if the chip is burning) whenever I pull out one of the covers. I don’t get this smell when The covers are closed or when I am vaping. Also I don’t detect any smoke.

What’s wrong? Is it me or has anyone else noticed this??

Is this only when you're firing it, or all the time?

Ugh that's the worst. Think it was fried or is there a chance it would work once it dried out for a few days?

its dead... After changing the battery twice, its fast to tear down... did that and removed the battery... alcohol dipped it and blow dried it... slapped it all back and the screen is all 2001 lol and no cell service or touch id

I'll probably grab a $250 or less iphone 8 from fleabay or watch and see if one of the iphone X's end up being less than $250.

Yeah, grab a used 8 and battery from the Bay and have a functioning phone for the next few years again, or til I wash it

Phone was on when it went into the washer... and fully charged, after pulling it apart and putting the battery back in... battery read 42% so I know its fully fubar

Plus I hate how Verizon, if you get a new phone... charge you monthly, and on top of that another $20 for line access...

Guess if we go to the unlimited that $20 would vanish

At least you got some use out of it.A few years ago,we got my son a new phone for his birthday,he came from the phone store, then ran to the back yard and jumped in the pool with his friends that were here for his party.Only problem is the brand new phone was still in his pocket when he jumped in the pool,he had it a total of maybe 30 minutes before he fried it haha.

My poor Note 4 was acting up so it got thrown across the patio! It bounced!.....twice!
The best part was the look on my wife's and my mom's face, their eyes were the size of half dollar coins.
After about twenty minutes my wife went and picked it up, it has a crack in the glass screen protector and after I put a new battery in it, it behaves and works like it's supposed to.

OK..I pulled out the battery, left the BB for a while, with the covers taken off. Turns out this smell is coming from the covers. And it’s more pronounced in the case of the back cover; the one where the button is located.
What I was looking for is maybe it's a manufacturing artifact of some kind. It's tough to imagine a micro-electronic device producing an actually electronic smell and working for very long.

If I recall correctly, this was the Taifun designed jobber...

This is the price direct from Aspire... probably find it a few bucks cheaper elsewhere; but that is a decent price for BVC coil junkies

Dotaio SE arrived yesterday. Got to play a bit last night.
Had some trouble getting the included 0.7 ohm "MTL" coil to wick. I was surprised considering I'm using a 60/40 juice but it turned out that 7 drops wasn't enough to prime the coil. As a result I can confirm that the dry hit protections works! Not perfect but it saved me from a much nastier hit if it didn't have that feature. Flavor is really good on it though. I was able to close it down pretty much all the way and get an acceptable hit... still too hot for my taste on the lowest power setting but usable. I have some Triton Mini coils (1.2 standard, 1.8 clapton) that I think allow for for better fine tuning in the future.
As for the device, I like it despite some negatives. I HATE the mirrored finish. Nothing a wrap can't fix, but wtf Dotmod?! It's a pocket device so a brushed or media blasted finish would've been much better and wouldn't show every little piece of dust, scratch, and fingerprint it's going to collect.
Also, the panels feel cheap as hell and flimsy. Even SXK includes better panels on their clone BBs and Bantam so there's really no reason for that. They stay on, work, and have some nice engraving on them so they're passable.
Over all though it feels solid in the hands, the tank is easy to remove, fill, and replace the coil. It definitely does not underpowered in anyway, but there's no way to tell since there isn't a display. In some ways I like it better than the BB and it definitely is better than the Bantam for my use.
I'd like to eventually pick up the RBA and maybe a leather case down the road, but for now it isn't necessary.

I bought another iphone... from fleabay... $170 for an Iphone 8 Plus 64g and fees/shipping... only downfall, once i get it, have to go and replace the battery.

Not a huge deal, I can do it myself for $25 so figure $215 all said and done.

One upside for not having a phone... my spending has stopped (Minus the phone) all my accounts are locked down and need Text Message approval LOL... no phone, no texts! Luckily Fleabay is PP, and I didn't need to get a text to approve the payment... now just the wait for it to be delivered in which it has shipped already, just hasnt updated to when it will arrive.

I swear it's only when something worthwhile comes out

Indeed, at least they will mass produce these... no limited amount of 500 world wide then wait for maybe another batch.

I am happy for this item... even not being a true MTLr, I really think this will be a hit...

Well :)
Isn't that adorable.
I know! I like how they have the integrated beauty rings that come up over the base of the RTA.
I seriously have no need for one... I have a Satburn with all three battery tubes and a Gus Mods telescopic for mechs. Plenty of regulated, too. But I do have a lonely Dvarw with no mod...

Get a pico... you’ll be much happier with it than the novelty of home use ‘350s

You'd think I would've owned one by now!

They make variations of the pico style mod from a few different manufacturers.

Aspire has one that is nice looking.

My MTL sits on a pico...still used when out and about. Will be heavily used in May when I bake my ass off in Phoenix

#1 Niece graduates this May

Going to be a long 4 days in the fire pit, with my dogs too.
