the staining that i deemed ok = no, its not. it needs to come off. i just turned it to a clean spot, much better. iwill clean it the next time i take it apart.

How did you get it off? Had to be either an abrasive or a cleaner....?

i didn't. i just turned the 510 to a clean spot and it works better. i have some metal wheel polish, i think i will try that. but i'm thinking that even a piece of paper will polish it out.

You need to find a way to put power tools to work on it, tout suite! Otherwise, none of us are going to be happy.

What is the use of having a shop with 80 bazillion dollars worth of tools, if you just turn the flippin thingy and move on? :gaah:

I had the same problem with my Athena Squonk arcing and misfiring.
After i cleaned the contacts and applied this shit, No more problems.
I got it at Ace hardware but other folks sell it as well.NoOx 002.JPG

that looks like die-electric grease. do you know if it is/isn't the same ? i think i may have some somewhere.

I have dielectric grease that i used on ignition modules back in the day.
This is a little darker. Don't know if it's the same or not.
I know i put this shit on my Athena, 2 months ago and it's still working tits!
