QP Design Fatality M25, damn

I've been so happy about my new Advken Mantas, but I am still suffering from a bad case of acquisition disorder so I ordered two Fatality M25s sight unseen. I got the first of the two in the mail today and boy was this an impulse that worked out in my favor.

Juice control might not be necessary anymore, but I'd still rate it a pro as it gives added protection for tank filling or travel. The dual airflow is a big pro as it allows you to tailor the air and flavor production to your preference. The capacity with the bubble glass is great and it looks good with it on. Building on it was a breeze, and this is the first rta I've had that wasn't a Velocity or at least pseudo-Velocity style deck since the original Kanger Subtank and Cthulhu rta. It's so roomy compared to what I'm used to that I did my first set of dual claptons on it. I bought too thin clapton wire and my build was .40 where I've always built to .22-.29, but maybe that isn't such a bad thing as that means it wouldn't pull so many amps yeah? I'll order a roll of the next size bigger clapton next time to compare, this roll was 28x2/38, and it seems like this wire has ohms per foot that is more like 28ga than the 26 and 24ga I've always used.

I'm thinking the flavor might even be better than the Manta as well, but that could just be because I'm excited about the new tank so I'll vape both all weekend to see what I think about that. In any event, both rtas kick ass and I'm not sorry about buying multiples of each.

Lastly the machining on this rta is the best I've owned. It's finished perfectly and all the threads and moving parts slide like butter.

Costs more than the average Chinese made rta, but no more than a Playstation game which is kind of my yardstick whether I should feel guilty or not. I am enthusiastically happy about the Fatality. Nicest rta I've owned and seems to wick, not leak, deliver a wide range of airflow options, and produce world class flavor all flawlessly.

Not really. On a regulated mod, the resistance has very little impact on the amps that are drawn from the battery because the atomizer isn't directly connected to the battery... there's a regulator circuit in between so the wattage setting on the mod is what determines the amps, not the resistance, but small variances occur as a result from the efficiency of the mod being affected by the resistance to some degree.

That said, many regulated mods are limited as for the amps they are capable to achieve. For example, my Wismec Reuleaux RX300, even though it can produce up to 400 watts of power, is limited to 50 amps maximum. Now, because power (watts) equals amps multiplied by volts, to keep the power invariable a regulated mod has to increase the amps each time when the volts go down. With every puff, as the battery gets discharged the volts go down another small step. So, the amps go up to compensate, until finally the maximum amp limit of the regulated mod in question is reached or until the mod displays the battery low message, whichever happens first. Further, my Wismec can't fire coils below .1 ohm, but if the resistance is too high it can't produce enough power because of the amp limit that the mod has, or if it can it won't be capable to sustain high enough power for long enough (as it bumps into the amp limit much sooner than the battery low message). I.e., depending on how much power you need, you still need to hold the resistance into account. YouTube reviewer DJLSB has graphs in his mod review videos, some of his graphs he uses to explain what you can expect the maximum power output (that the mod is capable of) to be like as a function of the resistance, a regulated mod usually at higher resistances it starts holding the power back despite the battery is fully charged or else it starts doing that soon after the battery continues to be discharged.

yeah I am going to go with the Fatality on flavor. The Manta is exceptional and amazing at the price and I think it's the best value rta of all time. I'm sure how small and short the Manta is helps it there. Sometimes the vape on the Manta is so saturated it's like having juice in your mouth, which isn't optimal. Lastly having three of these on hand, you just need to get as much wick into the ports as you can manage and it will. not. leak. In my experience you aren't going to choke these, they will wick, and getting enough wick in the ports will make filling up something you don't have to pay attention for.

The flavor on the Fatality is just...right. It's not the most saturated vape I've experienced, but there is a truth to what you get when you use the Fatality. I identify the taste of flavorings less with the Fatality and taste flavors instead, if that makes sense. The dual airflow adjustment allows you to dial in the flavor like no rta I've ever used. It's just _so_ good. We can stop talking about other rtas now, someone finally made a perfect one ;)

I've been really happy with the manta rta also. Was pretty inexpensive, simple, few parts to chase around when cleaning. Good flavor. My only issue is no jfc which sucks for filling. Got an m25 clone headed this way if they ever start shipping stuff out of China. Have high hopes for it, most everyone's been thrilled with the m25.

QP is on the money. I used both fatalities (28 and 25) but recently I MTL so I picked up the QP Gata. Another excellent offering from QP. BTW, they also make a Fatality mod.

I haven't done mtl in quite awhile, mostly because so far I haven't found one tight enough. The flavor was kinda meh on cigalikes and then ego pens but they had a tight draw like a cig. Tried the kf 3.1 or 3mini whatever it was, and the kfv4 clones. Still pretty loose. Too tight for direct lung but still on the loose side for a proper mouth draw in my opinion. Part of my order has an expromizer v4 in it, hoping that might be an improvement.

Not sure what it is, it's weird. Direct lung, I'm fine. Tight mtl like a cig, I'm fine. All that weird loose mtl gray area in between or direct lung with the power too low and just wispy vapor/air and I cough and choke like mad. The overall builds in those older devices was shit but the restriction was spot on.

well I have three M25s now, one in hand and two in the mail. These and one of the Mantas stay on the desk and the rest goes into the cabinet for backup gear.

I was going to order an Isolation rta in rose gold to go with one of my Kodamas, but I just couldn't do it. The thought of spending more than a Fatality on a tank I might feel wasn't as nicely designed or made gave the matchy matchy a lot less weight. The deck design of the Isolation has two issues I find off putting, one the coil legs are going to be over the juice ports unless you do some fancy needle nose work, and two, after having juice flow control again with my Fatalities I just can't bear the thought of my rta puking juice on my mod when I fill. Also looks like taking the deck off with a full tank could be problematic with this rta.

So I didn't. I do have a fourth Fatality on the way, a gunmetal for my new Odin 250c. There is just so much to love about this rta, I honestly don't know if anyone will ever be able to match it because it combines world class flavor with excellent design and build. The juice flow control is confidence inspiring, however I have frequently filled without remembering to close it and these tanks have not once ever dumped onto my mod, which I can't say for the Manta which is also a great little tank but you need to pay attention when filling. The only other rta I ever bought four of was the Cthulhu, which was an improved Goblin, and I vaped those for years.

Just love love love the Fatality.

Got rid of the manta didn’t get on with it ...never liked that the airflow was flat on the deck ...recipe for disaster with condensation and seeping which is a pet hate of mine...reload was a much better execution

was wondering about fatality M25 didnt see as much praise out there as the original thanks for the feedback,

Sold my Manta some time ago. Liked it and was good for it's time. Many now are just as good w/AF & flavor but simpler to build.

The Isolation is a true flavor chasing RTA, not a convenience chasing RTA. You know... that's what I think is problematic with both the Limited Edition 28mm Fatality RTA and the Fatality M25 RTA. :D

I never understood all the fuss about the Manta. Flavor wise it holds no candle against the Reload. Fatality M25 it has very good flavor, just not GREAT flavor, but a lot also depends on what your expectations are... i.e. if you expect flavor to be equally as great as the Reload, then no, typical waste of money due to following the herd like usual.

Idk, I think it's why it's great there's so much variety out there. Flavor is subjective, for me the manta pulled through for flavor in spades. Many felt the reload and manta were tied for flavor, but again being a subjective experience. For you it wasn't. Also not sure why using one over another is following the herd, especially when talking about the reload. More people had the reload than had the manta, it had quite a herd of followers. For every 10-15 people that had a reload, maybe 1 had a manta.

I also think the fatality got a bit of a following, not just because it was popular for popularity's sake but because qp did a pretty good job in the flavor dept. on their prior fatality and the juggerknot. Part of the issue that kept me away was the original was 28mm. I'm not a fan of 28-30mm+ atomizers, no need to feel like I'm deep throating a rhino cock or something. lol. If they can slim it down some to a more manageable 24-25mm, all the better for the m25's position in their lineup.

The "following the herd" remark was referring to the Fatality M25, not the Manta. I read through comments of "felt the Reload and Manta were tied for flavor" as if claiming there are no colors in a rainbow... there is no comparison.

I never said qp Design didn't do a pretty good job in the flavor dept., just that Reload Vapor USA did a GREAT job in this same dept., and, to me, personally, "GREAT" > "pretty good". But the Reload is still limited by the size of the build deck so, each time when I want a warmer vape from an RTA and still get the best flavor from an RTA, that's when I go with the Isolation RTA, like this:

If there's room, you could use that 28x2/38 plus some round 24ga to make a pair of kickin staged coils for that RTA. Just wrap the two wires in parallel. You'll probably need at least 5 wraps, maybe 6.

I have a weird love-hate relationship with the Isolation tank. It works pretty well but frankly its nothing special. It is decent on flavor and clouds but its not really a banger in any department (IMO). I like the design of the metal piece but it makes it easy to run it dry if you arent constantly tipping it. Glass should have been on the top and bottom.

I really only use it when its clean and nothing else is.

IME it only really starts to shine when getting closer to 200 watts, or .32 ohms if you're on a series mech. That's what I meant when I said "warmer vape"... those are 30g Ni80 aliens in the pic I posted.

That Axial Pro w/ series deck has me thinking of a series RTA. Didn't yet find anything recent to look at.

QP has some available but sold out again. Does anyone have and can comment on an M25 clone? I’m looking for a recommendation.

Thanks

long term notes on Fatality M25 and Manta:

Manta-
flavor is even better than the Fatality
so small it can't help but run hot, so hot that it's a con

Fatality-
flavor very good, but can't match the Manta
so well made
a joy to build
a joy to fill
juice control a huge plus IMO
more airflow than Manta, more flexible on the draw

the Manta flavor really is incredible, but the Manta heats up so bad that it deducts a lot of points. Seems like the resin Manta dissipates heat better than the standard version. This is a great tank, but...

the Fatality may lose out to the Manta for sheer juicy, saturated vape, but it is so much win everywhere else that it offsets that con. Is the Fatality high end? I'd call it midrange, but it's a great example that China is capable of producing any level of quality you're willing to pay for. Design is brilliant, and the production absolutely matches the great design. It takes very little effort to figure out how to build for this tank, and then it just works.

I'm happy I bought 5 Fatalities before they got scarce. Great rta. I'm going to break down and buy one Isolation rta because I've been looking at those since I started shopping for Fatalities. I didn't scratch that itch yet because I knew what I was getting with the Fatality and played it safe and bought more of those. Now that I am pretty much done buying hardware, I do want to have one Isolation sitting in my rotation as a change of pace along with the Manta. Two of the three Mantas are getting cleaned up and put back in the boxes as backup tanks.
