I'm not sure if this has been posted before. My apologizes if it has. I've been using European cotton for mine. I tried Japanese cotton, it burns out way to quick. Then again, I vape a lot. I've heard of vape bacon or something among the lines of it. I think it was Cotton Bacon. Can't remember. Any suggestions for cotton? The cheaper the better! (I'm a broke prick lol)

Ive used japanese cotton and its good, but gets gunky too quick. Ive tried rayon, and i think it tastes terrible, even after boiling.

I stick with organic cotton balls, boiled and rinsed 4 times. I havnt found anything thats 'just sooooo much better'.

Boiled and rinsed 4 times? If It makes you feel better I guess. I use organic cotton balls bought at Walgreens. A $4 bag lasts forever. I don't boil, rinse, nothing. Just use it. I use it in all my atty's. Tanks and drippers. I've never noticed any break in period, cotton taste or had any issues of any kind. Cheap and works great.

The best cottom for jeans is also the best cottom for wicking, IMO.

I go with rayon (cellucotton). Requires a break in period for the weird popcorn taste to go away, but I let it soak with a generous amount of liquid in it for about an hour or so. I rotate atties so I have something else to vape whilst I wait.

Once that break in is over the flavor reproduction is the cat's ass.

Yea, it's called cotton bacon. haven't tried it...yet.. Im partial to the Japanese cotton myself. I also like the organic cotton balls when im out of the jap cotton.
I think its all a matter of taste and preference. I talked to a few friends that swear by unicorn pubes, angel hair wicking, I tried them both and hated um.
I hit CVS, Walgreens and get a crapload of them cotton balls, cheep, and I swear I give out more than I use. Never boiled cotton, Ive read on it and always wondered why people boiled... /shrugs

Rayon should have no taste or break in perios if wicked properly. Have you guys tried thinning the tails a little. I cut mine at a slight angle and it works great for me.

I'd recommend someone figure out how to get cotton to work well before attempting to use rayon. Just my opinion.

Edit: or maybe not. My next post explains. :)

I will second that. $2.88 a bag in Canada. 80 count. Will still be there long after I'm dead. LOL. Use it straight out of the bag. Rebuilt a Aspire BDC (did both coils) on Jan 3 and is still going strong today running at 3.8 volts:)
Boiling is for sissies ,,,,,,,,,,,,,Just joking Pauly Walnuts

Out of curiosity, why is that?

Well, I actually may have to retract that statement. Last time I was looking in to it, seemed like people were having trouble getting it to work properly. More trouble than with cotton. I think it was because at the time it was kinda new and a lot of folks hadn't figured it out yet. Poking around now, it seems like folks aren't having the same kind of issues because the rayon folks have got it figured out and can help a new user get it working quicker than when everybody was still trying to figure out how to make it work well.

Yeah, I'm one of those "new users" myself. I still have issues getting that perfect wicking with cotton but I'm on my second build now using rayon and it's infinitely better, especially for people like me that have flavor ADHD :D I basically change my flavor every hour when I'm at home dripping and there's hardly ever any flavor ghosting or break-in time between flavors. Plus, even when you get a dry hit it's not a BURNT dry hit it's just "oh, hey there's no juice there."

No kidding! Well I must have been lucky to hear about rayon after the kinks were worked out.

I've never set up a Dripper with rayon without having a short break in period. I wonder if I'm not getting enough juice inside the wick under the coils...

Once ya find what you like, stick with it, cause im sure after the hype of bacon cotton is over there will some new name for cotton and over priced (not that you paid for it) but just cause I call my precut cotton monkeys tampon and its sick as tit and some UTube clones make a review on monkey tampon and say its the rage so now shops will sell at well over premium price... pffft organic cotton ball, Japanese cotton works best for my vape needs... cotton is over hyped and over priced at shops... BUT... if yer looking for my bleach blonde, combed out, unicorn baby pubes that are as soft as angel hair on a Japanese pillow gimme a shout cause ive got a few left ill sell ya for $5.95 per bag of 5 squares... just say'in.... :)

I prefer rayon for the reasons others have said but I do switch between J cotton and rayon. Just keeps things different, helps me avoid vape tongue.

Other than a couple puffs, to me there is not break in period for rayon and it does change flavors quickly. Been using for 6 months or something like that, right around when the whole rayon thing kicked off. Still love it. I do want to try rammie (sp?), heard good things about that stuff.

If you can't find any quality boiled denim, I'd use Koh Gen Do.
