Wife and I are still healthy.
She's working from home. I am working on the home.
Taking my time painting my kitchen. Could have been done in a day or two, but I'm doing a little here, a little there. I'll be done with walls trim and ceiling Friday. Then I'm going to clean up the old oak cabinets and refinish those. Upper cabinets will be an off white, lower cabinets will be a dark grey.

In between piddling around in the kitchen, I'm reading a Stephen King novel that I've been wanting to read for several years. It's called Lisey's Story.

Also started putting together more Metal Earth Star Wars models.

Contacted a slew of clients to check in during the pandemic. Recieved 20 confirmations back for work. Once this gets better, and I can return to work, I have no shortage of work. It's just a waiting game at this point.

Hey gang.

I finally check AZ stats this morning. I haven't looked in a week. Chuck is getting cabin fever already. These are good days to take a nap!

1,290 cases, up from 200 five days ago
24 deaths
They're now quoting what it would be like this fall as it isn't going away soon. Duh.

I'm off to finish ordering coils.

Back home from a trip to a local grocery store for their senior hour that we found out they have every day from 6 to 7AM. There were only 6 of us in line when they opened at 6am counting me and my wife. Their food stuff was pretty well stocked up and they did have some paper towels and TP. We just bought fresh vegetables and replenished what we had used through the week. We wore gloves and used wipes on the cart.

Now begins another boring day working on a database for work...

Stay safe y'all!

All is well as can be expected here in Ohio... haven't left the house in 17 days... everything is still closed... I have a feeling our lockdown will be extended. A few odd and end deliveries are still trickling in... most of the food items are already here. Hubby was home over the weekend and lost his everloving mind!!! He went out and came home with 6 gallons of vinegar... WTH?!?! What are we gonna do with 6 GALLONS!!!! of vinegar?!?! o_Oo_Oo_O

NEW RAPID COVID-19 TEST IN OHIO

Governor Mike DeWine:
“Battelle and OSU Wexner Medical Center have jointly developed a new rapid, sensitive diagnostic COVID-19 test. The new rapid test will allow for fast turnaround time on test results, which will help #FlattenTheCurve.

Right now, the system can process approximately 200 tests per day, but when the infrastructure is fully built up over the coming days, the goal is to process more than 1,000 test swabs per day."

We use vinegar in our washing machine, just pour some in the pre wash spot, as well as our dishwasher in place of jet dry. I just ran out of vinegar and don't plan to go to the store for a while.

I'm jealous - I only have two gallons :(

It's an excellent disinfectant - just googled it and all the US sites are saying the same damn thing - Not FDA or EPA approved, don't do it for Covid, no evidence it works on Covid, etc

The same BS we here about vaping and quitting smoking - Not FDA approved, don't do it, no evidence it works, etc

This is because no one has checked if it will work on Covid 19, as its new

If you look on overseas sights, the Australians note that vinegar kills many bacteria and viruses, including TB and Herpes, some of the hardest viruses to kill, so it is highly likely it is effective against Covid 19, with its soft sticky outside surface

Still here, Happy April Fool's Day.
Up to 80* today, good day to wipe everything down with vinegar. Doors and windows open for the smell. I'm trying to get up the gumption to clean some more coils, we'll see. Hubby did some sunbathing, soaked up some vitamin c.
Stay safe & healthy, lots of prayers being said.

Yeah, I knew it could be used for cleaning. I use it a couple times a year to remove calcium buildup in a humidifier for my cpap. I just thought 6 gallons was excessive.

they are working on an antibody test to see if someone has had the virus, however it is not ready for use yet.
The current test will not tell if you have already had the virus or not just if you currently have it.
of course the first to get it when available will be first responders esp the ones in quarantine.

OK, so I survived going out in the wild today and I must say it was seriously kind of freaking creepy. People avoiding getting to close and everyone wearing masks and gloves. Still here and still isolating as much as humanly possible. Stay Safe everyone~!

It is creepy! And apparently it’s getting worse in the City. Plus Trump just said to expect another very bad two weeks.

Sorry I can't like your post~! Messes with my head every time I have to go out. Not that I am afraid just how people look like the Movie Contagion.

Doing good here. Placed another order for more food. Basically Ezekiel cereal and some other whole grain stuff. I figured if I run out of stuff, having some cereal for carbs will help. Mid-low carbs now is no longer a thing. I need to think about getting through this alive and well.

THANK YOU KINDLY TO THE MAN IN INDIANA WHO PAID FOR HUBBY'S DINNER!!! :inlove:

Yeah I ate more carbs the other day than I did the past month. Needed a little stored up energy for emergencies just in case.

that was nice. Everyone should be nice to those ones running risks of the virus to bring them food, toilet paper and such.
And those working Wally world and such too. they are taking risks not only to make themselves some money but to help us. Here in KY they can not work for fear of the virus and likely make more in unemployment than working. I am just thankful they are there.

Everyone please make an effort to be nice to others it will make things smoother for everyone.
Might even help our attitudes as well?

1000 new cases in 1 state! Those are frightening numbers.
Good to hear Lucy is ok. And the rest of you all.
Still raining lightly here, the parrots are having a party in the trees around us. They do it every time it rains after a dry spell. We are starting to feel better today ourselves.
Our numbers are very low compared to other places around the world.
Here is our official stats.

In Australia
As at 6:00am on 2 April 2020, there have been 4,976 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Australia. There have been 269 new cases since 6:00am yesterday.

yep I figure pretty much all the big cities will get hammered really bad first.
The humps in infections will be less and later in more of the mid sized cities.
and of course cities beside major travel routes will get hit worse as well.
this thing is not going to be just one big surge and over.

gonna be a long rough ride folks so just settle down and do the social distancing thing and such to slow down the spread so our hospitals may be able able to handle the surges.

So here is latest madness going on here.
Some people from the major cities, to get away from Covid, are now going to our small country towns and filling up the caravan parks. Trouble is that many of the small towns have very small hospitals that would severely struggle to cope with an outbreak of covid with just the resident population let alone hundreds of others. Some have no hospitals at all. They also have to think, which they clearly dont, that they will be using communal toilets and showers. They also are placing stress on the small shops which were and are struggling to meet the needs of the communities. Some I'm sure will be taking covid with them unawares and infecting these small towns that otherwise had none. Apparently our park here has quite a few there right now.

We have the same issue with many fleeing the large city infestations.
And the same complications for them where they are going.

Humans are pretty much the same everywhere.

Pre-sleep check in.

All good here. House got cleaned. Paperwork found so I can start the SBA loan process. Asked my super crafty mom to make us some masks. My partner is still working and I’m immunocompromised so I figured it would be a good idea.

Other than that, nothing new here.

That is pretty much everyday here in New York if you believe the fake news~!

I can’t find any info about cases in Queens. Do you know where I should look? I know Elmhurst hospital is over run, but I was wondering what was going down in my neighborhood.

It was scary to hear about your neighborhood!!

Checking in. Haven't been to bed, yet. Work wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it'd be. We've been slammed over the last few weeks, so it was nice to "breathe", not on each other.

Bosses have decided that every Wednesday, they'll be furnishing our lunch. Pizza the first week, today was a local BBQ joint. We got a bonus for the last few weeks, so that was nice, also unexpected. Yesterday, corporate sent out an email notifying us that all hourly employees will be receiving "Hero Pay" for the next few weeks. Shocked the shit out of me.

Haven't had to go anywhere besides work, over the last several days. I fear that'll change over the weekiend. I'll need lunch stuff.

Please be safe everyone. <3

Good morning VU!

Another day in... misery lol

upload_2020-4-2_7-27-45.png

Hasn't been updated for today, since today's data will be tomorrow's update

As much as I say this guy is in San Diego... I am actually in Chula Vista... 10 mins from Down Town... well maybe less since there isn't much traffic ;)

Many of the incorporated cities like mine CV and Bonita, are kissing cousins... or like Encinitas, Solano beach, OceanSide... you can drive through one and pass through the other two and never know it... just Like Imperial Beach stating they have 0 cases... well West Chula Vista is basically Imperial Beach

So I just look at the total ;) which is nasty

upload_2020-4-2_7-35-9.png

Anyway, family is doing well... sisters are going nutty... My professors uploaded all the remaining assignments for the year with a due date a week before the semester ends lol... the past few Zoom meeting classes were a joke...

"How ya guys doing? safe?"

Lemme take roll call... Blah blah, ok I see Don... " Don has left the meeting" a few mins later...

of the remaining 5 chapters I am completed 90% of the assignments... a few I actually need to read from the book to get the layers right on my CAD drawings, but that should take me about 2 hours max...

Thing that irks me is people still asking about chapter 3 assignments that were due first week of Feb and were allowed to turn them in by this Friday... just lazy imo...

Ahwell, no more bickering over stupid shit... I should just be happy all my class mates are healthy, which I truly am... BUT! 5 weeks late on turning in an assignment and still going to get full credit... bite me lol

Have a rad day everyone, but most of all be safe.

Don
