Same cotton I use, and the taste wears off after about 4 pulls for me. I swear by it.

Besides, that's a year worth of cotton for around USD $8

I agree, you have to put the right amount of cotton, the fact that its super absorbent,I never had wicking problem, I found that cotton bacon gives you more puffs.. IMO

I meant the new cotton flavor. But it seems that the Japanese cotton can last longer between rewicking, to me.

You're about to get some of that exact cotton. By the way, your coils I made for you shipped, and I included 2 pads of that cotton with them. Sorry for the wait. Had a family emergency pop up.

No worries, thanks for the coils and I hope everything is ok with the family! Good vibes going your way!

I'm still partial to the Japanese cotton. I don't really notice a difference between the two while vaping, but I fund the cotton bacon isn't as easy to work with when wicking.

Thanks, I am flabbergasted that product exists. $6 for 10 strips of cotton, I guess it was made for vapers. Cool name for the product.

Watching the video, when he holds the strip up to the camera the cotton doesn't look as consistent as the Koh Gen Do stuff I bought off Amazon. The Japanese stuff has long consistent strands all running in the same direction, one of the things I like about it. I peel off the outside layers and only use the inside of the pads. I get no cotton taste at all from mine.

ej1024 I am impressed you got yours directly from Japan. When I run out of my Koh Gen Do in 2-3 years, I am going to try that.

I use the outside of the pads as well. All you have to do is pull the fibers apart lightly along the grain to fluff them a little and they're golden.

I used the pads as well- but the cotton bacon seems so much easier to manipulate and work with... Reminds me of rayon

Different strokes for different folks, as it were.I will say this, though. I just left a shop I hadn't been in before, and I tried several different juices while I was there. The fellow there was kind enough to rewick for me after I decided on a juice. He used Sato Japanese cotton. That was an hour ago, and I still can barely taste the juice over the cotton. Really don't recommend that brand...

I've never tried it, but I have plenty of experience with melted plastic. So I will probably never give it a chance.

From just a wicking standpoint.. does it perform better, or do you think you are bias because of your choice to not use it?

LOL. Its has no plastic. Its made from 100% plant cellulose.
Hmm. I always thought Rayon was a synthetic fiber akin to Dacron and Nylon. Thanks for clearing that up. And in light of this, I recant my previous statement. Might give it a try after all.

It performs very well IMO. I just prefer cotton. I just became accustomed to cotton and that's what I started on so that's what I'm using currently

The jap cotton is easyer to use without wasting much. I always seem to waste normal cotton when I use it

If anyone wants to give rayon a try, PM me your address and I'll send you 10 feet of it. I prefer J-cotton, but still have 400+ feet of rayon.

Are you sure cotton bacon is the same as dental cotton? The only dental cotton I've seen looks like this

View attachment 18952
yea i watched nymza grill the owners about how he was vaping dental cotton and cotton bacon side by side and they were the exact same thing. it was one of those situations they wouldnt deny but wouldnt acknowledge either, basically admitting he was right

In my not so humble opinion, KGD>rayon>cotton bacon. I just get less flavor in a dripper out of the cotton bacon and since the strands are not aligned like KGD it wicks less. It's just basically expensive cotton pads overpimped by whoever created it.

Rayon has the price advantage over KGD (or muji, really) and is a harsher vape, but that might be your thing if you are after throat hit.

busardo did a video comparing cotton balls, Japanese cotton rayon and silica.

japanese cotton and rayon did the best. both wicked almost identical with the edge to japanese cotton. rayon last longer between rewicks are far as not getting a bad taste. when changing flavors, it took a couple more hits for old flavor to go away with cotton.

I want to try rayon, but i have so much cotton. bought organic japanese cotton, sterizled, unbleached on amazon. $8 for 120 pads. I have enough cotton to last years and i rewick every couple days. I use about a pad a week at most.

I'm not getting into the rayon crap I'm not sold on it. I'm used to cotton and the absorption properties that it possesses. Oh, and I did a Scottish roll on some cloudy Vapes org. Cotton and yes the flavor is not as crisp as the cotton bacon but it's usable.

I honestly think cotton bacon makes the ejuice a tad more available to your coils, which is why I seem to have to drip more with it as compared to using the identical amount of organic cotton.

How do you rewick all the time every two days, and only use a pad a week?
