Is anyone else getting this error and possibly either have a fix or a work around? I did not even have my new Xcube II 24 hours before i got this error. I am running firmware 1.093 and the Puff settings say "Never"

Is it not allowing you to change that setting? If I remember right that is one of the settings you can change without using the app. Vapor Cronicles has a thorough review of these functions on YouTube.

I can change it but it was already set to never max out so not sure why I am getting the error.

No, it was always defaulted to "Never" which I assume means that there is never a time when you will hit maximum puffs and the device stops firing. When I fired the mod today it gave a message "MAX PUFFS" and would not fire, I checked the "Puff" settings on the device and it was still set to "never". I pressed the + and - buttons and then moved back to "never" the mod let me fire again but I've seen a number people stating the issue keeps coming back. It hasn't for me yet, but was wondering if anybody else had the issue and if so did they find a permanent solution.

Especially when I clicked the avatar and it said you lived in TX lol. Red Dirt is all I listen too pretty much. I was like damn, I can't believe CR is on a forum I visit. But then I saw the N. Lol.

Mine did this to me once after I updated the firmware. I took the batteries out and back in, upon turning the mood back on the issue resolved itself. Stopped using it a few weeks ago though in lue of a higher end TC mod. Hope you find a fix!

Thanks for the info Thorplay seems the same is happening for me too. The issue has not comeback so may not be an issue at all.

I couldn't tell you, I don't use temp control. But in power mode it works great

Where are you getting the, so cheap? I really want one but I am waiting to get a refund for an El DIABLE Incubus cus it was a gimmicky piece of junk. And what better higher end mod were you looking to get. I have people telling me they rather the XCube over a Snow Wolf 200w. I have it narrowed to these mods to get ONE. XCUBE2. SNOW WOLf200w. TESLA200w. Or SIGELEI 150w. Maybe even an IPV4

To tell you the truth. From the reviews the xcube2 is by far the most features for the price. But that's what worries me. more stuff that can go wrong

I wasn't a fan of the TC function. And after battling for a month for Smok to fix the Android App so I could get to the extra settings I couldn't use titanium or stainless steel without purchasing the software patches. The controlling factor in TC mode is risinging and lowering the temperature. The wattage is automatic and ran lower power than other mods. I prefer a warmer vape. One would typically just rise the temp but then wattage would surpass my atomizers' specs.

So does anyone have any thoughts about those mods I was thinking about. The SMOK XCube 2 seems to be nice and full of features. But it seems like there a lot that can go wrong with having all those features and I just can't afford for it to stop working on me after a month. If it's just one setting stops working that won't bother me much The reviews seem to make this thing out to be the best mod ever. But I'm having trouble deciding on what mod to get out of those I stated above

I have 3 of the 5 you mentioned (Snow Wolf, X Cube II, and Tesla 200w). I'm selling my Tesla. It's ok, but I had problems with some of the lower builds on it. It just didn't like them. The Snow Wolf and the X Cube II would read them, but the Tesla didn't like them. I'm talking about .12-.09. Snow Wolf fires it. The X Cube II will fire it. Haven't tried SS or Titanium on the X Cube II though. It's TC is wonky to me as well. Not being able to change the power makes it difficult to dial in that perfect vape. I like warm vapes as well and I can't really get it there no matter how much I turn up the damn temp. The Snow Wolf just works. The drawback for that is no ability to upgrade and you are limited to just nickel. The Snow Wolf feels the best to me. The glass doors make me nervous about dropping it. The X Cube II battery door isn't that secure and annoys some people during use, but it doesn't really bother me. Overall for value, the X Cube II is the hands down bang for the buck ($64 when I got it). Ability to upgrade and the available wires you can use right now will be hard to beat. If it breaks, you can buy another for the price of the Snow Wolf. I have no experience with Sigelei or the IPV4. Hope that helps...

And on the OP original topic, I had that same problem too after the firmware upgrade. Took out the batteries and restarted it and it has worked fine.
