I'm tired of the Wizard labs nic base. I find it peppery, is there a cleaner tasting 100mg base out there?

After using WL, RTSvapes, Heartland, and Vapers Tek, well:
http://vapingunderground.com/threads/who-has-tried-vapers-tek-nic-base.2101/
VT is the clear winner for me. There are lots of comments on it in that thread and on other forums. I think it's fair to say the majority find it cleaner than WL and other nic. Some didn't think it was a huge improvement over their favorite, or at least not before they used it a while. But I don't recall anyone saying any other nic was cleaner-tasting than VT - here underground or anywhere else. (I'm sure someone will pop in to beat me over the head if that's not the case)

If Nicotine is made correctly and extracted properly it is a "Colorless odorless liquid" What I bet is happening with many vendors is the grade of PG or the VG they are using to mix it down from "Pure Nicotine" to 100mg,48,mg or whatever mg they sell It is possible that most are purchasing their nicotine from a lab they mixing it with the PG and VG It is possible to extract nicotine yourself but I tried and it smelled like horse shit hahaha because of the impurities so the PG and the VG are another issue in the better nicotine :)

We use xtreme vaping nicotine in our blends and it is hands down the best nicotine we have found so far. They order direct from one and only one supplier and it is crystal clear and extremely consistent. The problem is, unless you order wholesale it is very expensive. I've heard it is the same exact nic as Wizlabs "ice" which is only available to select customers. So if you truly want the cleanest and clearest try xtreme. Nicselect is decent as well and much cheaper. Can't remember the site but I've seen it for $150 a gallon at 60mg.
You often hear good nicotine is odorless but that is not true. Nicotine has a unique smell, always reminds me of mushrooms. Over time nicotine will oxidize and start to get a yellowish tint. It does not necessarily mean it is bad but it does mean it's either older or was not properly sealed or shipped.

I'm with HIC on this one - VapersTek nic is amazingly clean tasting. I used to use Wizard Labs nic. Nothing wrong with that, but once I tried VT nic I stopped using the WL nic!

xtreme vaping nicotine
holy crap ! really. now thats where I would draw the line. at that price it wouldnt matter to me what it taste like. that 40 bucks more than vaperstek for 125 ml. I could be missing out also I guess and not trying to start an argument , just saying my pockets will never be that deep lol.

Both My Freedom Smokes and RTS 100mg nic are in my freezer. No complaints about the quality of either.

VT is by far the cleanest nic. I have tried all the others. They taste like tobacco and kerosene that mutes flavors. VT is 100% neutral and we get the full benefit from our flavorings.

Another VT vote.

Honestly, I thought it was hype and didn't buy it for a while. I did a side-by-side comparison using the VT and WL nics in the VPG Power Smoke Base by INW. I would not have noticed that the WL nic is not as clean unless I had done this sie-by-side test.

I'm a Vapers Tek guy… Good stuff and I love their ratio as it makes figuring out the math SUPER easy for me.

Just put an order in for Nude Nicotine. My WL is getting close to running out and for some reason when I ordered that a while back I chose PG instead of VG. Will be nice to try out something new and 100% VG for my mixes!!

I have only used one vendor for my nic and it has always been high quality, but this last time it was peppery and with the money that goes into flavoring, this is unacceptable. I looked at Xtremevaping and the prices are to high for me, so I will take the advice and give VT a try.

If u need to make a big order (cuz shipping is around $13) wizard labs has the best nic, VG, and PG selection ever! You can choose your base too!

I never thought I had an issue with the WL nic. I like throat hit, so that wasn't a big deal to me. I got to try the VT nic with throat hit a little while back. I still have a BUNCH of WL nic in my freezer. Well, the VT nic ran low, so I ordered more because my flavors really did have more taste, cleaner, to them with the VT nic.

Rough week at work last week. I keep a bottle of juice in my purse for the days when I vape way more at work. I'd forgotten that it was made with the WL nic. Now, I do like throat hit, but O M G that hurt. I wasn't expecting that throat punch. That proved to me, there really is a difference, even when using the VT with throat hit nic.

LOL, my boyfriend actually likes feeling the stab in his nic. I swear I didn't realize HOW MUCH difference there is. Should he ever change his mind, I'll let you know!

Thanks! And thanks for the advice! I've only used a few nics in my diy and had no clue the stabbing in my throat could be related to WL! I like smooth! I'm gonna take some of the advice here and give another company a shot and see how diff it is.

I was so surprised at the difference myself, @vape.queen. I'm in no way trying to slam WL. It worked for me, he still likes it. Just quite a difference. I wasn't going to try anyone else until I ran low enough, but a friend sent me some VT to try out, and you know the rest, lol.

This is a local (to me) MD based company that rocks. Not sure how big their biggest bottle of VG nic base is, but they are a great company with a great line of juice. http://www.purevg.com

Call me crazy, but I use e-liq.com. I have had decent customer service on the one time I had to use it, but the main reason is I don't use anything less than 99% nic base. It's not for everyone, but I have high end lab equipment for safety.

wondering if i just got a bad batch, needing some help guys, i'm a diy novice in this world...

when the vaping started i gave it a few months for diys to start up and learn from them. found sources at first but no reviews etc. gave it quite a while before i looked again. once the lovely diys started and some tips came out it started to become more formal and the sources became numbered then listed and sprouting :)

as mentioned in this forum... Nude Nicotine. From reviews, I settled with them as my best option as a nicotine base. my lungs are burnt and shot from years of cigarettes, i know this, 20 yrs and i have one hell of a reg cough, been goin w tar filters lately, which have helped so much, but hoping vapes might do better.

The Issue I'm Having with bases:
i ordered Nude Nicotine 100mg base. i volume measured 30 mg blend cause i'm a heavy smoker... coughed my ass off. i gradually dropped it down to 5 mg blend and still coughed just as hard, it still burnt on inhale. i waited a month and tried the 5 mg blend again and no difference. after a couple months i decided to make a blend of flavors, only pg and only vg and a mix... it went well. i took part of that mix and mixed up a volume to 5% nicotine n i coughed..

i'm wondering if there's there's a different salt base, isomer, etc... if there's different end results w how they're making it or just throwing out there the cheapest dickish way to make it.

i'm allergic to something

Xtreme is clean nic. Remained crystal clear stored in my cabinet. It reminded me of WL Ice nic back a few years ago. It's definitely the price that stopped me from ordering more. I call Xtreme, Gucci Nic :D

Yeah, I've purchased from Levi a coupla times, but it was a few years ago. Gucci, no doubt, with Cartier frosting. Great customer service, though.

I have a lot of allergies and almost gave up on vaping. I have to have 1OO% VG including flavors. It's not a choice. I am also allergic to something else and I suspect cinnamon. My mouth will break out to the point of needing a doctor immediatley.

But like I said, I'm allergic to a lot and carry an epi pen. It makes no sense to me how I could smoke, yet have reactions to vaping. I have to be careful with medications, have had drug reactions, can't use vaseline even. This is an individual thing.

I know someone with copd who can't handle much VG and her liquids are 7O% pg.

What it is for you will be trial and error. All I can say is that I'm 1OO% sure I'm better off vaping even if it was a challenge to get there. It's worth it.

Wow! You've got guts for sticking with it. Glad you found your groove.
