So I recently got this bad boy 2 days ago and the review will be updated with how it's performed overall in about week.
I'm going to go over what you can't find on the spec page for it.
To start with, the battery housing.
Pros: Venting is good, a ribbon to remove batteries.
Cons: It's pretty stiff to get the batteries in and over time it might take a wrapper off a battery. I'm not sure if it will or not but it's possible.
The finish is metal on all their models and is a finger print magnet just like their glass plates. Luckily a rub with your thumb should take them right off but still streaks sometimes.
Where you screw your atomizer on slightly strikes nerve with me. It sits perfectly flush which is beautiful however I noticed my Mutation X V4 is leaving a small thin ring on the otherwise flawless finish (ocd) and for now it can be wiped off. I think it may make a permanent ring with long term use which is fine if your atomizers all have the same size diameter but most don't.
However the 510 connection is as smooth as silk on it.
The buttons
Pros: nice click, easy to push without having to awkwardly hold your hand, their placement makes locking it easy.
Cons: I mean I guess I could say no left handed models but come on. Seriously? Who makes an alternate model just for that?
The display is beautiful. Nice and cleanly organized and dims when not used then automatically turns off.
Dimensions fit great in the hand. You won't feel like you're being stabbed in the hand thanks to its rounded smooth corners.
If you go over 150w the device goes into pulse mode which pulses the atomizer instead of constantly firing it.
I have yet to see its temperature control feature since I do not use wires with nickel in them.
Now, the difference between the limited edition and the regular are its laser engraved logos and locking mechanism however don't worry. The 2.0 model coming out soon will feature the locking mechanism. Also to note, the royal edition has the same features as the limited just featuring gold.
2 days and I've tested two builds on it so far. One at .14 ohms and another at .44. Both have been great on it.
As stated above I will give a 1 week update on it. If you have any questions or want me to expand on any details feel free to ask.
Edit:
Alright I'm back for my update. I know it's been longer but I have been busy so let's get to it.
First of all, my atty did leave a ring where it was sitting on it.
Second, it is pretty weighted but still not too bad for on the go (if you are the person to take a box mod around like I am).
Third, I still haven't gotten any nickel wire to test the TC mode. If in the distant future I do, I'll be sure to update this review.
Overall I love this mod. My opinion on it hasn't changed from my first two days of owning.
