That Typing-the-Wrong-Word Thing?

This has happened before, and I read in a random thread that it might be something to do with typing a word or phrase that triggers "Sorry, You Have Been Blocked." So I just assumed that's the cause and saved the text.

Here's the photo, and what I had typed when I was blocked. Took the screen grab, cleared the Sorry window, copied the text, logged out, logged back in, created this thread.

On laptop, Windows 8.1, Firefox, cookies clear at browser closing. Three tabs open, all VU.

I had no idea about the priming, I was going through coils like crazy!

If you don't prime your atty, you have to wait multiple minutes for the juice from your tank to soak in properly. Five minutes, let's say. Two minutes goes by, and you think, "Oh hey, that was five minutes" and start va

That's exactly why I switched to chrome.
No more silly random blockage.

You know that Chrome works with google analytics to track your browsing habits and phones home w/o your knowledge?
I use Chrome and/or canary now and then when FF doesn't wanna play but
generally not. Of course if I want privacy I do Tor and/or proxy but
I'm opposed to casual eavesdropping for marketing..

Here's my 2 centavos..Just a thought. OP said 3 Tabs Open, all VU.
Does it happen with only two instances of VU?
See, if the cloud firewall sees so many instances,
who knows how many, probably a random number of packets coming from the same IP
it freaks and blocks the traffic 'cause it thinks it's a DDoS.

..just a thought

It happened to me a couple of days ago in Firefox and I only had one VU tab open. I shortened the message after copying the full body and the shorter one went through. Went to Chrome and pasted the entire message and that one went through too. Seems Firefox thinks I'm a bit "wordy" and cuts me off sometimes. o_O
I hate Firefox, really prefer Chrome, but it's been crashing a lot lately so I dug FF out of the closet for awhile.

I know how to recode stuff.I just pop the top on the INI and repack a few other things.Force the compile of Analytics timer at 0.The end result is it never turns on...Have I mentioned I was an old coder yet?

Yeah that happens because you're using the privacy thingy in FF.

I can't remember what happened the other times I was blocked, but I'm fairly certain it was all on my laptop w/ Firefox. I normally have more than one VU tab open. I'll keep track of open tabs for any future issues.

I run Linux with Chromium/Tor on my homemade box. Chromium slows down occasionally, but haven't had any VU issues. (This might be a good place to announce my love of owning a homemade computer. The Linux learning curve was slightly high, but there's a distinct joy knowing that if the thing craps out, I can avoid having to spend $$$ on a new one and simply replace a part or two.)

Ok, The Owner has the right to do as they please. Techs are needed for shit this big. We see a screen, they bust their ass to make that happen. I know I have had the headache. Never found a bad member staff or joke here.

I often have 5-10 VU tabs open, and have never been blocked. That's not to say it will never happen, just that it hasn't so far.

I use FF with LightBeam, and block most of the random BS that loads with the pages on VU.

This would be a much larger number, but I've culled the herd in past visits. 2 of this 5 are no longer tracking as of this visit.

I use NoScript with FF. Lists all third-party sites. Default is auto block, and allows you to pick and choose what you connect to. Definitely looking into Lightbeam.
Be careful with it ;) My SO got too happy, and blocked a lot of sites that were needed to actually SEE the sites she visited.

I never knew how much extra garbage was tied to a website until I started using NoScript. Not just FB, YouTube and Google Adwhatever. Bunch of mystery sites. If LightBeam gives you a list, go to a site like NY Daily News and check out what it tries to load with the page.

The monkeys that track me keep killing themselves due to boredom.

It's not the computers I'm worried about anymore. It's the cell phone. There must be a TON of data leaking out of that thing. Northeastern University is working on an app called ReCon, which can tell you how much. (NOT Recon dot com. NOT that.) Probably other solutions... haven't looked into it yet.

am curious about how nosy other people are

Then Google your real name. Just know that once you start looking past the initial LinkedIn/etc entries, you might fall down the rabbit hole.

The one thing I didn't do is actually pay a personal-information collection website to find out what other people could see if THEY pay.

I will save them a lot of trouble. Wake up, make coffee, check email, go to VU, thinks about where I want to eat breakfast, says fuck it, goes back to bed. :p

I've actually done that self-google thing.None of the results were me.Not sure what to think of that.

Chromium (the base for Chrome) does chrome stuff without the ET Phone Home google baggage. Uses Chrome extentions, etc.

That can't be right, at least not with only 3 tabs.

When I first check the forum, I'll look in my alerts tab and open each thread in a new tab, then read them. Often 5+ being loaded at once.
Often when looking at the 'New Posts' tab I'll do the same thing. Open a bunch of tabs and then read each topic.
There was times when I was combing through the DIY Recipes forum and had 30+ tabs opened. I'd go page by page opening any flavors that looked good in new tabs, then after having a few dozen tabs open, start reading them and jotting down the ones I liked.

Then I could get randomly blocked for a few hours when trying to post short a message in the only tab opened.
All on firefox.

Resurrecting an old thread for the same deal.

Windows 10, Firefox, 1 tab open for New Posts, one tab open for thread.

This was the thread:
http://vapingunderground.com/threads/how-to-make-premade-juice-stronger.216296/

This was the text I was typing
This is part 2 of an Excel-based e-juice calculator I got off ECF a good long time ago.
The formulas for the "New nicotine mg level" row (gray boxes) are:
=SUM(D29:D30)
and
=SUM((E29*D29)+(E30*D30))/(D29+D30)

What I still haven't done is create a part 3... for the number you're looking for, which is circled in red.
In other words, I plug in "6.00" and the

Got blocked again.
This time, I had just put that full image into the above post.
Logged out, logged back in, cleaned up the above post and hit Post Reply.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say there's something evil in that text I was typing in the original post, which is the same text I pasted above. Yeah, I know there are formulas included.

Sure it can be right because in a DDoS attack your IP would be only one of many IP's
sending packets at the same time at which point the cloudfare firewall will kick in and block the whole bunch of
IP's it considers responsible. So that you don't get blocked every time you have
a gazillion instances of FF sending packets doesn't mean jack to the firewall unless it happens to be happening at the same time
that other IP's are doing the same.
However note that you mentioned you being blocked after having sorted through a bunch of open pages
when you try to post. You send the server of bunch of request packets then send another
with actual data (the text in yer post) and that's when the firewall blocks you cause it doesn't know what you're sending.
See, a typical MO in a DDoS is to send a shitload of requests then while the firewall is overwhelmed
the attacker tries to sneak code into the server.
At least that's how one hacker guy I'm acquainted with explained it to me...

However, it well might be a glitch 'cause that happens to me now and then too
and I usually only keep one or two tabs open here, one on the index and one on the c0ntent I'm reading or writing.

Sorry to reply so long after your post I only read it now due to the threads resurrection.

I'd say the SQL formula is being misinterpreted...but evil is as evil does.
