I'm worried about my wheezing and coughing issue

My name is Nathan and I have been vaping for a little over a year now I have not smoked a cig in my life I have smoked cigars and I did smoke hookah for a while but not enough to claim I was a smoker. So any ways I found out about vaping about a year and a half ago and I was very interested so I started vaping I loved it!! So my current set up now is my snow wolf 200w tc, and my twisted messes rda. So a few weeks ago I've noticed that I've been wheezing after I vape and I also cough after words as well its concerning me because this hasn't ever been an issue as I said I've been vaping for a year and a half now. Why is this happening now? I vape max vg and sometimes 100%vg juices. I do not like pg juices because it murders my throat and I'm sensitive to it. I vape every day and when I do vape I chain vape until I'm satisfied so on average when I juice my coils I get at least 3 to 5 good nice hits and I juice my coils at least three to four times until I'm satisfied. Sometimes when I'm doing nothing I just vape away. A 30ml of juice barely lasts me a week sometimes. Am I vaping to much ? I would appreciate some help and advice to stop the wheezing and coughing.

How is your cough in the morning just after getting up, and before you start vaping?
How long have you been using the SW and TM RDA?
Any new juices in the last few weeks?
What nic % are you at?
Any new coils recently or new kind of wire?
Any new job or new environmental thing?
Any different diet?
Are any people you know sick right now?

I go through 10ml of juice a day. That amount wouldn't surprise anyone here.

In my experience... on the rare times I feel crappy, I instantly blame vaping. Then I go through all the mental questions and realize I've been vaping the same way for months, and it must be something else. Then I just wait a half day or a couple days, and everything's fine. But hey, not a few weeks. Surprised you haven't stopped vaping for a bit as a test.

I usally cough after my first hit in the morning but that was like a normal thing for me. But I usually wheeze right after vaping I can hear best when I'm going to bed. And it may sound funny but it's as if the vapor stuck in my lungs it feels like when I cough. I've been using my sw for 4 or 5 months now and my twisted messes rda for maybe a month and a half now I change juice about every week I like to try new flavors and brands out I stick to max vg or a 100% vg. No one around me is sick Im just starting a new job at a refinery still going threw paper work. I'm on no diet I just eat what ever sounds good. I try to get a lot of water on a daily bases. And I did stop vaping and the wheezing did go away but I just don't understand what's going on. Oh and I usually just use 24 gauge kanthal when I build my coils.

I vape with that very same setup, 80%VG, I vape anywhere from 15-20ml a day. I would think maybe your juice, or possibly nic level. I have 3mg and 6mg juice and when I chain vape the 6mg I get a decent cough for about 10 min. after I am done. Like Lost said, try not vaping for a couple of days, but personnaly I think multiple things can affect this; pollen in the air, how much you vape in a short period of time, so on and so forth.

Could be some kinda issue and vaping just pisses it off...not sure but no sense in waiting for it to get worse make an appointment and go see a pro:)

Could be that time of the season perhaps it's just so odd. I use 2mg or 3mg nic. Is it bad to vape a lot in a short period of time? Once my mod is in my hand I just vape away.

Everything you're describing is why I can't use much VG. It makes my chest hurt so badly and I get the coughing, too. That max I can tolerate is 30% VG. I realize you can't take PG, but can you not use it at all? I'm just wondering if you tried a different ratio, like iiKryptic mentioned.

Whatever it is, I hope you figure it out. I'd see a Doc to be sure, though. And I hope it works out for you.

I just don't particularly like pg cause it's so harsh on my throat. And I like max vg cause in my opinion it's smooth and I blow nice milky thick clouds with it. But I will expieriment with different ratios and see if that helps I'm guna stop vaping for a week and see if that helps to and then have a doctor listen to my lungs se if it's anything serious. Thanks for all the advice guys!!

I've occasionally heard about some people not being able to handle high vg liquids. The VG makes their lungs feel heavy and they have trouble with breathing due to vg buildup. It could be something like that, especially if you've never been a smoker. Your lungs were good, so your noticing any negative effects the VG is having. Whereas, those of us that don't notice any negative effects from vg could have had lungs that were much worse before starting vaping so any negative effects from VG are actually an improvement.

But VG buildup doesn't seem likely to me with only vaping 30ml a week.
That's less then 4.5ml a day, quite a small amount to vape on a dripper.

Could be a combination of things. Vaping does tend to dehydrate your body, especially your throat and lungs. You said it only started recently, winter just started. Depending on where you live, winter might bring very dry air so combined with the drying effect of vaping your lungs might just be dryer then normal resulting in the coughing and wheezing.

Have you tried taking sips of water in between hits while vaping?
Especially useful for the morning vapes when your throat is dry from sleeping all night and more sensitive to irritation from vaping.

Have you been to doctor? I mean like coughing and wheezing could be something causing it besides vaping...Like asthma, COPD or even early stages of lung cancer...Just a thought

I can personally tell you I vape 20ml or more a day at 3mg sometimes bump it up to 6mg so your def not vaping to much I chain vape and I've had no issues. I also vape a 70/30 vg/pg mix.

I hope it's not lung cancer. And I'm a cloud chaser I have fun vaping and doing builds on my rda I was going to go to a local comp but it got cancelled. I appreciate all the advice from everyone thank you. I'm just going to see a doctor and see what they have to say. I live in Texas and where I'm at it's usually humid all the time. And I usually drink at least 2 to 3 bottles of water a day. Could be there weather idk could be a lot of things I don't know just need to see a doc I guess. Thanks for the advice.

the worst thing you can do is go assuming you have any ailments, get it checked out but don't be laying in bed tonight worrying about lung cancer. my gf does that all the time and it turns out to be something small like humidity or pollen.

dude if you're not addicted to nicotine, and or tobacco alkloids....don't vape.....vaping was started as a smoking cessation tool and as an alternative to smoking....some of us have been smoking 20-25-30-40 years we are addicts, but if you can avoid it there is no reason to inhale anything but air.

Jumping from wheezing straight to lung cancer sounds like something I'd do, lol. I'm an admitted hypochondriac. Just go to the doctor. I did the same thing early on, having phantom chest pains after a scan showed a thymic remnant in my chest and I was worried vaping was turning it into cancer. A pulmonary specialist said the remnant was benign, and so I asked him what he thought of vaping. He said it's a no-brainer, much less dangerous alternative to smoking and told me my lungs were totally clear. I never had another "symptom" after that.

But still, go to the doctor if you're worried.

congestion doesnt cause wheezing. chest congestion causes crackles in the lungs. wheezing is caused by constricted airways. something in the juice the OP has been using recently is irritating his airways. i would try switching juices, decreasing nic level and decreasing wattage use (in that order) the muscles that control the airway walls are the same as the muscles that control blood vessel walls. nicotine is a vasoconstrictor so if it constricts the blood vessels it could also constrict the airway.
